Amin the Cook & Jeremy Clarkson: the same rules apply

On Tuesday I heard a loud noise inside Free Speech & Liberty Pizza and came in to find a young cook shouting loudly while a senior cook sat on a chair mopping blood from his head. The younger guy, Amin, had done a Jeremy Clarkson.

You are fired said I. And so he was. He shouted. He pushed me a bit but he was out of the building within ten minutes and will not return. Given he has only been on the payroll a few months he can have no comeback, you cannot hit a colleague.

That is what Jeremy Clarkson is alleged to have done. He seems to think that different rules apply to him because he is a celebrity. Think again pal. No-one, however many times they appear in the tabloids is above the law.  I see that other celebs are flocking to Clarkson’s cause. They too, I assume, believe that their status, gives them the right to do things which nonentities like Amin or you and I cannot do. They are wrong.

It is yet another sign of the decadence and decline of our society that a million other nonentities have signed a petition demanding that Clarkson be above the law. He should not be. And he is also replaceable. You want a middle aged, boorish, drinking and smoking, white middle class right wing publicity junkie to present the show? Hang on a few weeks, Nigel Farage will have plenty of free time on his hands after May 7 and he’d fit the bill perfectly.,
