On Saturday in my main stage AIM rogues presentation David Lenigas and Chris Akers both featured prominently. Big Dave is a shareholder in Pires Investments (PIRI) a stock that was my tip of the year but where I suggested banking gains as it now trade way above fair value. Chris Akers has today announced that he has taken his stake from 3.1% to 6.1% and Lenigas almost wet himself with excitement as he tried to tweet the news out asap, as you can see below. Graphite play Directa Plus (DCTA) was not one of the better new issues of 2016. Nomad and broker Cantor Fitzerald earned a good few shekels raising it £12.8 million at 75p in May 2016. The shares roofed it to 200p but the crashed to 32p by early August this year. At that point Cantor's decided to earn its shekels as retained broker with analyst William Game (pictured below) upgrading his stance from corporate "hold" to "buy". Aussie based AIM casino listed Mosman Oil & Gas (MSMN) shares were at one stage last year ramped up to 45p on the back of some fairly “aggressive” claims about drilling success. They are now just 4.875p after interim results beg the question of whether this business is insolvent yet?
The Nomad who signed off on the preposterous claims made by Mosman last year is ZAI Corporate Finance which normally specialises in backing China frauds like Naibu (NBU) but I guess it also has time for Mosman.
