Very Sexy Andrew Monk’s Christmas Carol Part 1

The fragrant Mrs. Monk had left for the family’s Cornish Mansion, Dun Broking, some days previously. Very Sexy Andrew, as he liked to refer to himself, had been detained in London by a series of meetings with other terribly important men and so was set to fly down to the Cornish Riviera early on Christmas Day. For now, he found himself alone in his West London townhouse just a few doors away from Jeremy Vine’s pile.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Ordering portable loos, facing being stranded in Greece and talking toothpaste with Skinbiotherapeutics

I start with the trials of ordering portable loos for ShareStock which I have now done. More than 40% of the seats are now taken so with 7 weeks to go please book yours HERE. Then onto how Barclays (BARC) may strand me in Greece and why the Mrs reckons I am wrong on how gay is your stockbroker. Then it is onto Skinbiotherapeutics (SBTX), Optibiotix (OPTI), Ben’s Creek (BEN) and Advanced Oncotherapy (AVO).

How gay is your stockbroker? Champagne fuelled Diversity gala awards announced for YOU to pay for

My late uncle (by marriage) Richard would be turning in his grave. When he was at Rathbones his job was to manage money which he did well.  That was notwithstanding the fact that he was white, straight, Eton and Oxford educated and that his family originally made its money (400 years ago) from the slave trade. I doubt that with that background he’s last five minutes at Rathbones today notwithstanding him being very good at his job.

I don’t care if my stockbroker's a lesbian

For the avoidance of any doubt, my stockbroker is not a lesbian. But in these gender fluid times, he may well announce as much tomorrow. And I would not care either way – although I’d be a little surprised by such a turn of events.

BREAKING: Innovate UK – the taxpayer cash sent to rich stockbrokers to make them richer, via a Marxist Madrassa

One of the striking things about how taxpayer cash is doled out via Innovate UK is how many of the Marxist Madrassas we used to call Universities are on the gravy train.  Among those really tucking in is the University of West of England, UWE the place where hard line socialists wanting to live in Bristol but too dim to get a job at Bristol University end up working. So here is where £83,341 of your cash went.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Will we make a killing buying the Zak Mir portfolio of utter shite?

A reminder, July 18 keep it free. I first discuss the latest ideas of Rishi Sunak to revive the real economy and point out the problems and contradictions. Then I consider Zak Mir’s cunning plan to make a killing on the stockmarket and a variant of the Sith Lord’s wheeze suggested to me by a private client stockbroker. Will it end in tears?

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Jim is your dad really Independent & win a prize by explaining Online Blockchain's accounts to me

I had a long chat today with my stockbroker, City veteran A. Laiker Esq on what it is like working from home. He loves it. I sense so do many others. I have loved it for years, being essentially a miserable and anto-social bastard. Companies will also love this new trend in the post Covid era and i discuss its implications. I look at Intu (INTU) and what an awful position it is in. The shares are a zero but discuss the whole sector. I run through the latest rumours on Ascent (AST), reveal that it is Novum Securities that has welshed on a £200,000 commitment but report another (bad news) rumour that ascent needs to comment on. I look at a good deal for Webis (WEB) but think my old pal Jim Mellon is taking the piss with his view of who qualifies as an “independent” director. Then onto the markets where we have another bad news is good day and finally the prize contest relates to the utterly shite results of Online Blockchain (OBC) snuck out at no-one is watching O’clock yesterday alongside the pretty shite numbers from sister company ADVFN (AFN)

Now that is what I call a happy customer Mr Stockbroker. Not!!!

I am not sure if this tape of a customer and his London stockbroker is kosher or not. It sounds real enough and I warn you that the language is awful. Even I would not use some of the words here. Enjoy

WH Ireland - back office to close at end May up to 30 P45s to be issued

Pensioner mugging stockbroker WH Ireland (WHI) has not announced this via RNS yet but just to remind it to come clean, my source close to the action says that the back office unit of its stockbroking operation is to be closed at the end of May. It is not clear if the almost 30 staff - many of whom have worked there for more than two decades - have been given the bad news yet. Well I guess they have now.

Scoop: WH Ireland - after FCA Fine: staff to be told of wholesale redundos this week

Yesterday afternoon I revealed HERE that the FCA would stiff disgraced pensioner mugging stockbroker WH Ireland (WHI) with a large fine. Sources claiming to be close to WH Ireland pooh poohed my story. They should have known. The Sheriff was not wrong. Today came the fine ( £1.2 million), a 72 day ban on taking on new corporate clients and news of a £1 million placing at 90p to keep the lights on...but WH Ireland is still not telling you everything. Here are two more scoops.

Breaking: WH Ireland - massive FCA fine and big job cuts imminent, source

Disgraced pensioner mugging stockbroker WH Ireland (WHI) has already admitted that it faces a large FCA fine for all sorts of misdeeds (although not the pensioner mugging) but the scale of its, company-threatening - problems is likely to become apparent imminently according to a source close to the situation.

WH Ireland Stockbroker John Molyneux explains discretionary broking to Mr Bagot – new picture emerges

Scumbag brokers WH Ireland (WHI) hosted a table at last night’s black tie AIM awards. What with the taxis, champagne on top, etc. that must have cost it £3000+ but presumably it did not invite Essex Pensioner Mr Bagot, a man whose life savings were trashed by its former senior employee John Molyneux (see HERE

Exclusive – the stockbroker who mugged pensioners for WH Ireland “retires” suddenly

Yesterday we outed Mr John Molyneux as the WH Ireland stockbroker who had mugged 75 year old pensioners by sticking the cash from discretionary accounts into penny stocks – usually WH Ireland corporate clients doing a fund raise – which had nearly all cratered.  I can reveal that Mr Molyneux has now decided all of a sudden that at 68 it is a good time to retire. With immediate effect. But if he and AIM listed WH Ireland (WHI) think this scandal is over they are mistaken. It is just beginning.

Because, while one 78 year old couple has taken their mugging up with the Financial Ombudsman and got back just under half of their losses (£150,000) we are fully aware that this was not an isolated case.

EXCLUSIVE: WH Ireland – Not only ripping off pensioners but a swarm of other scandals emerge

On Sunday I discussed how AIM listed stockbroker WH Ireland (WHI) ripped off a 78 year old pensioner for more than £500,000 but has only compensated him for £150,000. A WH Ireland spinmeister says that the actual loss for the poor defrauded pensioners was only £329,750. But the PR operative was less forthcoming when questioned about a swarm of other scandals.

First we deal with the fellow at WH Ireland who managed the discretionary account for these poor vulnerable old folk, shafting them by sticking nearly all their cash into AIM, Plus and unlisted penny stocks most of which cratered and most of which were WH Ireland corporate clients.  I put it to WH Ireland that the pensioners who took action were just the tip of the iceberg – the chap responsible, Mr John Molyneux, has abused a number of other discretionary clients in exactly the same manner.

WH Ireland – How big is its mis-selling scandal? Only a lunatic would trust this firm with his cash

The Mail on Sunday carries a horrific story about a 78 year old man who has seen his life savings disappear thanks to WH Ireland (WHI) the AIM listed stockbroker. Reading this I conclude that only a total lunatic would entrust WH Ireland with his or her cash. With the stockmarket now clearly in bear territory WH Ireland would be unlikely to prosper even without this scandal and at 125p the shares are a stonking sell – second only in this sector to those of the POS Daniel Stewart (DAN).
