Photo article from the Welsh Hovel - Feck EU, supplies arrive

As a result of actions by the EU, plonk from inside the Evil Empire now costs we poor Brits an extra £1.50 a bottle. I read elsewhere that new EU rules are stopping British independent cheesemakers from selling direct to EU based customers, not that we British are enforcing any reciprocal measure. As my pal from the IRA rang up the other day to gloat about how the evil Brits were suffering as a result of the stupidity in voting for Brexit, I reminded him that punishment beatings did not make his lot change their mind, did they? For once, the old Fenian was silent. As it happens, for somewhat remote reasons, I identify as Irish and find most waving of the Union Flag to be fairly nauseating. But I do not like bullies and thus…

Arriving today is a fine Australian red for the Mrs, celebrating – the day after Australia day – the various reasons why so many folks enjoyed a free one way passage to the land of high culture 200 years ago. And from Lynher Dairies comes both a Yarg but also 2 pieces of Kern, a wonderful cheese with a nutty flavour which I’d recommend to all.  The more punishment beatings the Evil Empire serves up, the more the Mrs and I will be reminded of why we were so right to vote to leave in 2016. And, I sense, many others think the same way and so in the end the only folks suffering from this malice from Brussels will be EU exporters to the UK. Not that EU leaders give a damn about the economic misery they cause to their own people.
