Chesnara (CSN) announced earlier this week that it has conditionally (on regulatory and shareholder approval) agreed a £39.3 million acquisition of Direct Line Life, a UK-based life insurer which is currently owned by Direct Line Insurance Group plc and became substantially closed to new business in July 2011.
