Is the Bahamas Petroleum open offer floundering? – last gasp director spoof

After years of executive greed and value destruction, Bahamas Petroleum (BPC) tried one last roll of the dice on April 23 with an open offer at just 0.35p but I wonder whether there are growing signs that this is failing?

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: More regulatory fails by the wretched, woke bedwetters at the FCA this St George's Day

I comment on St George’s Day HERE. In a long podcast I look at Versarien (VRS), Audioboom (BOOM) – misleading again – Bluebird Merchant Ventures (BMV), Bitcoin and Argo Blockchain (ARB), Bahamas Petroleum (BPC) and the fraud Supply@ME Capital (SYME). And we are now just three hundred quid shy of £14,000 for Rogue Bloggers for Woodlarks, please donate HERE.

Bahamas Petroleum – Millionaire Boss Simon Potter shunted upstairs as shareholders kicked in gonads yet again

On 17 September 2011 it was announced that Simon “Harry” Potter was to become CEO of Bahamas Petroleum (BPC) with the shares ending that day at c9.3p. Last year Potter trousered £375,000 as CEO so it is fair to say that his nine and a half year gig has cemented his position as a millionaire. But what of those dirty grubby peasants the shareholders? How have the hoi poloi prospered? Over the years I have repeatedly warned about the ramping of the shares, the extremely suspect financing arrangements and Harry – watch me make your ISA disappear, its magic – Potter’s ample rewards for failure.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: the million morons suffer a damp squib with Metro Bank

I start with the Mrs being phoned by a fraudster. Then it is a natural move to Elon Musk and bitcoin before going onto the Million Morons on Reddit and a damp squib with Metro Bank (MTRO). I comment on looking daft for eons before vindication so look at Nightcap (NGHT) and then at Bahamas Petroleum (BPC). Then it is on to Abingdon Health (ABDX) and Yourgene (YGEN).

More vindication after 5 years: Bahamas Petroleum shares crash – Simon Potter is a rotter

For years AIM sewer listed Bahamas Petroleum (BPC) has spun the line that all it needed was a farm in partner to unlock massive potential for oil in the Bahamas. For years I have called out CEO Simon “Harry” Potter as a useless and grossly overpaid promoter who should be fired – here is a piece from 2015. And warned that this stock was just not investment grade - you can see a series of exposes and scoops HERE.  Sadly Potter was not fired in 2015 and today – with him having hauled out well over £5 million in compensation – since his 2011 appointment when the spoof started, the house of cards has collapsed. It will get worse.

A partial ‘fess from Bahamas Petroleum but it is still breaking the law in the Isle of Man

Following Monday’s bombshell expose on this site about a $20 million funding which clearly breaches Isle of Man Companies Law, Bahamas Petroleum (BPC) has today been forced into a partial ‘fess but still plans to go ahead with the illegal funding

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: On this day of all days Sarah Willingham is 'avin' a Turkish! And who should star in my Christmas carol 2020?

On Joshua’s Advent calender the shepherds go to Bethlehem. That is almost true, well a bit true as I discuss. In prior years I have penned a three part Christmas carol featuring a villain of the year: Rob Terry, Neil Woodford and Chris Oil have starred. So please nominate your villain of 2020 for this year’s opus magnus below. In the podcast I discuss the IPO of Sarah Willingham’s company Nightcap on a day when most of its bars go into tier 3. She is ‘avin’ a giraffe. There are other red flags and questions to ask. Then I look at Jubilee Metals (JLP) and Bahamas Petroleum (BPC) asking if, on AIM, anyone gives a toss about the law of the land. Finally I look at Dignity (DTY) where i retain grave concerns.

BREAKING BOMBSHELL EXPOSE: Is Bahamas Petroleum $20m disguised death spiral placing today ILLEGAL?

As a loyal former citizen of the Isle of Man I feel that it is my duty to go to my good friends at its Financial Services Authority on Bucks Hill in Douglas to dob in Bahamas Petroleum (BPC) for apparently breaking the law with its disguised death spiral placing announced today. Crime should not pay. Have they abolished birching for naughty Nomads on the island yet?.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: the Great news is that NoGold has not died of Coronavirus

I bring you the good news that No Gold is alive then discuss Intu (INTU), Frontera Resources (FRR), Avacta (AVCT), the merger of Bahamas Petroleum (BPC) and Columbus Energy (CERP) and Anglo African Oil & Gas (AAOG). Finally we are now almost at £40,000 on Woodlarks (with gift aid). If every bearcast listener yet top donate chipped in £10 plus gift aid tonight we would hit target. Please, please do so HERE

Bahamas Petroleum gushes 100% Corona-bollocks – sell

Two pulled placings, awful userous death spiral financing, ramping a plenty and a crazy valuation – everything tells you that Bahamas Petroleum (BPC) was a stonking short. And now it has announced a delay to drilling of the Perseverance #1 well in the Bahamas citing the Coronavirus as its excuse. What total bollocks.

Tom Winnifrith Photo Bearcast: the flood waters are rising once again, now 2 yards from the Welsh Hovel

I start with the rising flood waters here at the Welsh Hovel, which are now about two or three yards from the bottom step leading to the back door. Then it is onto Coronavirus, where it is starting to sink in as to how bad it could be in terms of fear and our behaviour if not actual deaths. Then onto what filing management accounts means and the question of possible securities fraud at Dev Clever (DEV), which I have flagged up with the FCA today. Then, as per the screenshot below, it is the changing behaviour of Neill Ricketts at Versarien (VRS) and what that tells us about the regulatory hole he is in and why Canaccord quit as Nomad. Finally a comment on Bahamas Petroleum (BPC), its piss poor death spiral and crazy valuation.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Hey Ed what scandal are you going to "predict" next? Bernie Madoff? Enron?

I start and end with a request that each Bearcast listener backs the Woodlarks Christmas appeal. Even £2 each and we’d be there. So go on donate now HERE. Then it is onto reports that the stricken Woodford empire may be selling £500 million of healthcare stocks. But at what price? Then it is onto how Ed Croft of Stockopedia, the company that flagged up mega fraud Quindell as one of the top 10 AIM stocks to buy, is claiming to have “predicted” the  Neil Woodford scandal. Of course it did not but no doubt this persuades more folks to sign up to Ed’s flawed system.  Then I crow as I discuss Nanoco (NANO) which I called out as long ago as 2015 and discuss where next for Bahamas Petroleum (BPC) as its open offer flops.

Bahamas Petroleum - £7 million open offer: one to pass

And so the saga continues. Bahamas Petroleum (BPC) having failed to get institutional backing for a placing at 1p to raise $20-25 million is now heading back to its existing shareholders with a £7 million open offer at 2p. You’d be mad to take it and here is why.

Bahamas Placing pulled as it fails to raise $25m & the excuses are outright lies

In scoop after scoop this week starting HERE and ending HERE I detailed how Bahamas Petroleum (BPC) was trying to raise $25 million, first at 1.4p, then at 1.2p and finally at 1p. Those who signed up at 1p were told it would be announced Wednesday then today. In fact it has been pulled as the company could not, even at 1p, get close to $25 million. But today Bahamas has quite simply LIED.

I look at Bahamas Petroleum (BPC) as it dissembles, Brady (BRY) whose shares should be suspended, Clear Leisure (CLP) and a joke deal and Ted Baker (TBK) which seems fecked.

EXCLUSIVE: I’m 100% vindicated (yet again) Bahamas Petroleum to announce placing Wednesday at just 1p

On Monday I revealed HERE that Bahamas Petroleum (BPC) was trying to raise $25 million and had already had to cut the price from 1.4p to 1.2p. Bahamas tried to deny there was a placing afoot via RNS but I published an email in response calling that out as a GREAT BIG FUCKING LIE HERE. Oh dear, it seems that things have gone from bad to worse.

Winnileaks Exclusive: Bahamas Petroleum responds to ShareProphets & dissembles

Earlier today I revealed that Bahamas Petroleum (BPC) was trying to raise $25 million. It could not do it at 1.4p so is now trying at 1.2p and that it has had to rope in bucket shop brokers such as Novum and Cornhill shows that it is struggling. The company has responded but, thanks to Winnileaks, it has dissembled as I demonstrate  with an email that has fallen into my hands as you can see below.

Bahamas Petroleum Pump & Dump – I do hope shareholders were lubed up, this will hurt

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast 18 January - I loathe BT, it is ffing useless

I then move onto China Norfolk Taihua (TAIH), a brief Jabba the Hutt section on Solo Oil (SOLO) and LGO Energy (LGO) and a look at SeaEnergy (SEA). Oil disasters dominate the fallers and in that vein I cover Petroceltic (PCI), MX Oil (MXO), Iofina (IOF), Magnolia Petroleum (MAGP), Bahamas Petroleum (BPC) and Range Resources (RRL). I also have a butchers at the fun and games at Altona (ANR).
