I start with the news that we are backing Harcus Parker to get cash back for victims of Neil Woodford. Then I look at Versarien (VRS) and its new improved face nappy, at Iconic (ICON) and the madness at NightCap (NGHT) – since when is one rented London bar (currently shut) worth £4 million? Then San Leon Energy (SLE), en passant, there is a detailed look at Symphony Environmental (SYM).

Have I judged Oisin Fanning of San Leon (SLE) by a different standard to, say, Neill Ricketts of Versarien (VRS)? Sure. Would I not judge, for instance, Cheryl Cole by a different standard in the looks department than, say, Diane Abbott? Yes I would. And I bet Cheryl is also better at singing, counting and more or less everything else than Ms Abbott too. Management is key to it all in the world of investing as I discuss today.

Back on 11 May 2020 it was announced that San Leon Energy (SLE) boss Oisin Fanning “had purchased” 98 million shares from Tosca Fund at 21p a pop on 7 May. The shares were cum dividend.

Jeepers he must have been sober to have fallen in love with this shite. In today’s podcast I look at Versarien (VRS), TrakM8 (TRAK), ADM Energy (ADME), San Leon Energy (SLE) and Catenae (CTEA). Now go and have a butchers at MineProphets and book your ticket (just £2.99) now HERE.

I have today been distracted by bulls which the Old Bill wants to milk and bad weather has stopped any progress in the garden. It’s all rather frustrating. Talking of bulls I discuss San Leon (SLE) where i am a loyal shareholder. Then with reference Intu (INTU) and Virgin Australia the myths that bailouts are needed to save large scale job losses.

Do not get me wrong, I am told that there were some great things about the 1970s: The Sweeney, Starsky & Hutch, pre AIDS casual sex, The Harlem Globetrotters, Star Wars, Abba, the rise of Maggie… the list goes on an on. But while we may yearn for much of that, surely we do not want to go back to a world where we receive payments by cheques sent in the post? That is more George & Mildred than Debbie Harry. Over at registrars Computershare it seems that time has stood still and they are still watching and laughing at Brian Murphy and Yootha Joyce.
My pension and other loyal shareholders in this company should have received a bumper 6p per share special dividend in San Leon Energy (SLE) on 29 May.

Malcolm will not approve of this as he regards it as unethical. But I am getting older and, to date, Centamin (CEY) and San Leon (SLE) are the only dividend paying stocks in my pension. And that has to change

Last week I interviewed Oisin Fanning, the boss of San Leon Energy (SLE) for a video for the ShareProphets shares show which you can see HERE. It was utterly compelling and on May 6 I put 8% of my pension into the stock, something I discussed in my main stage talk on AIM Rogues, at the show, HERE. There has now come a bombshell…

There are folks in a certain rain sodden second world nation objecting to an article on my own site HERE. The Mrs. Natch. It is all to do with mother-in-law jokes. At least one AIM CEO objecting to this article. And finally a chap who asribes evil motives to the timing of my investment in San Leon (SLE), without actually knowing a couple of key facts. I discuss the point he raises. In the main podcast I look at Tern (TERN), where I think Nigel S is wrong but that the boss is a rogue director as I explained at the weekend HERE, 88 Energy (88E), and Land Securities (LAND) and the entire commercial property sector.

Yes, the Mrs and Joshua broke lockdown to go see the mother-in-law. Naturally I was keen to join them but gave two reasons why I could not. On that matter the Government has no strategy that works for ending the chaos it created. It is a shambles. I explain what all the fuss is about at Fox Marble (FOX) - you can see for yourself HERE. Then look at San Leon (SLE), Kefi (KEFI), Mosman (MSMN) and Bidstack (BIDS). The moral of the tale, swot up on your show videos tonight HERE.

In this podcast I look back at a very valid point made by Dr Hon at UK Investor on a cancer still at the heart of the City. I look at AIQ (AIQ), San Leon (SLE) and Paragon Entertainment (PEL) - another Finncap debacle. Then I turn to Ed Croft and UK Investor who was rude to me ( who cares) as he over-ran his allotted time and pretended otherwise by slating me. He also called Nigel Wray a sucker for his investments. Ed: how rich are you? How many AIM stocks have you backed in a major way where you could have m,ade 100* your money? But I am sure you are right and Wray is a sucker. And then Ed presented data which though accurate allowed him to leap to a totally wrong conclusion. If I was scoring his thesis I explain why I'd have to give it a fail. Or as that is now on campuses today a 2:1. Unlike Ed I did not insult someone else on the main stage on their big day as that would have been rude but his nonsense needs correcting.

Recorded at the Teeling distillery in Dublin (no jokes please, I am stone cold sober ahead of battle with evil Professor Conroy shortly), I reflect on 45 minutes of my life wasted at the San Leon (SLE) AGM. I am a bit angry with all sorts of folk and the language might reflect that.

My daughter is here and I shall show paternal devotion shortly and be punished for my many sins as I explain in this podcast. Ahead of that I cover Cloudtag (CTAG), Arria (NLG), Highland Natural Resources (HNR), San Leon (SLE), Aidan Earley and Big Sofa (BST).

Don't tell the compliance officer round at SP Angel that we have published this as he ( or she, I know not) is a dickhead who reckons that the fine research from that broker should go to institutions only and not peasants like you. But Zac "the knife" Phillips has today published a 100 page report on San Leon (SLE) in which he notes that the shares, now 44.75p after results this morning are worth 101p to 120p. We own the stock so are minded to agree that the shares are very cheap although Zac is perhaps a tad more optimistic than we are.

A rushed day, back to hospital in five minutes. Ahead I discuss why mug punters and Justin the Clown love blue sky rubbish like Cloudtag (CTAG) but not value plays. I discuss three value plays I know well two of which we own: San Leon (SLE), Obtala (OBT) and Guscio (GUSC). Boring is sexy. Then I look at a non value stock mugs like, North River Resources (NRRP). Then I discuss how one plays the game: fraud hunter vs fraudsters and yes that might involve producing mugs!

Well that is the forecast anyway for those who took part in the San Leon (SLE) placing at 45p details of which were announced today. For once we are on the same side as Tosca Fund which did most of the placing as we also had a modest nibble. Delivery is the key but on those sort of forecasts it would be rude not to invest.
