As you might have gathered, I voted for Brexit. So too did my wife, a card carrying lifelong member of the Labour Party. And at the start of the process I had some faith that the political class would, as they promised, deliver on the result. But it is now clear that together with the media establishment, the Civil Service elites, big business and academia there has been a deliberate, and I fear, successful attempt to block the will of the people.
First they insulted us, My wife, who is of Indian origin, has not dared to ‘fess up to her friends (academics) that she voted to leave. For in such circles describing leavers as stupid or racist is just a given, it is routine and unchallenged. And the insults include the suggestion that we the 52% did not know what we were voting for so would need to vote again. Perhaps if the remainers in charge of Brexit, the loathsome Mrs May and her henchman Olly Robbins, made enough of a mess of the process (which they have duly done) we would realise it was better to stay in.
All the time our leaders have insisted that they respect the vote. And that No deal is better than a bad deal. Except they were lying. I am now resigned to the elites winning and the will of the people being denied. I did think that I would get angry, grab a yellow jacket and go protest. But I shall not. I just give up.
Among the elites voting on this farce is a woman, the Labour MP for Peterborough who has spent just a few weeks in prison for perverting the course of justice and who now wears an ankle tag. This lying criminal earns £77,000 a year plus expenses and gets to decide my future? My despair grows.
Britain is rotting from the head down. Like more and more of my fellow citizens, I despair at the greed , the mendacity and the patronising sense of superiority at once respected institutions such as Parliament or the BBC and am revolted that they are funded by me, the hard working taxpayer. Why the bloody hell should I pay £77,000 a year for a convicted criminal MP or £15,000 a week for Fiona bloody Bruce to host Question Time, a platform for more of the elitists to patronise me?
In politics, business, the media corruption is just a way of life in 2019. Academics teach a curriculum which would make Orwell proud. On every sort of issue it is them (the elite) versus us. Returning ISIS brides – 99% of the population say no but the elites know better. Transgender sex education for 4 year olds? No-one in their right minds supports this but the elites know better and anyone who dares speak out is a bigot. Over in the US the same liberal elites are forcing through rules allowing abortion up to birth. Naturally nearly everyone else thinks this is an abomination but we the people are powerless.
I can’t see any way that I can change that so, I suspect like m any, my reaction is just to turn off the TV, to pay as little tax a possible and to pretend it is not happening. I give up on this country and, indeed, on the West in general.

On the flimsiest of evidence, wretched Theresa May, Donald Trump and President dans Le Closet of France would use wall to wall media coverage to bomb President Assad of Syria whenever the Islamofascist terrorists he is fighting claimed that he had engaged in chemical warfare. Yesterday Aleppo suffered a chemical weapons attack leaving 55, including eight kids, hospitalised. So why aren’t the BBC and Channel 4 Fake News all over this? Why aren't Macron and Trump lining up another air strike? Oh yes…
The small portion of Aleppo under the control of the Al Qaeda supporting terrorists we in the West backed in an act of insanity, was liberated more than a year ago. Not that the western media report this but Christians in Aleppo will soon celebrate Christmas in their rebuit Cathedral without the threat of beheading for a second year. The population of Aleppo is growing rapidly as folks who fled the terrorists flock back to the safety and, relative, tolerance of Assad rule.
So it would not be Assad launching shells filled with poisonous Chlorine gas on the City. It is “our guys” – you know those Al Qaeda loving fanatics who execute 12 year old boys, gays,. Post Office Workers, Christians and others by beheading or chucking them off tall buildings. It is the terrorists who we in the West have backed with arms and money since 2012 so creating the Civil war that has made Syria what it is today. It is “our guys” in the Nusra Front who are gassing civilians.
Yet the Western media seems slow to report this and our leaders say nothing. I can’t think why…

As every day goes by I find myself despising our wretched Prime Minister Theresa May even more. I apologise to one and all for having voted for her party at the last election. However awful the alternative is, and it is truly ghastly at every level, I shall not be repeating my mistake next time. It would take all day to list the acts or omissions which make me despise her. The complete betrayal of Ulster is a matter close to my black Protestant heart and the even more complete sell out of Gibraltar makes me unspeakably angry.
But, on reflection, it is the betrayal of Asia Bibi that must rank is May’s most despicable act or omission. Bibi is a Pakistani Christian who drunk water from a rusty old mug by a village well. Her Muslim neighbours said she was “unclean” because she was a Christian, should not have used a mug used by Muslims and should convert at once. She refused. Reportedly she said “I believe in my religion and in Jesus Christ, who died on the cross for the sins of mankind. What did your Prophet Mohammed ever do to save mankind? And why should it be me that converts instead of you.”
For this, in 2010, she was sentenced to death. A couple of months ago she was released and the case is being reviewed. Mobs have marched in Pakistan demanding she be hung. There is a bounty on her head offered up by a leading Islamist cleric. Poor Bibi moves from safe house to safe house knowing her life is in danger.
Pakistan was once under British rule. This woman is being persecuted for a faith we, nominally, share with her. Those beastly so called extremists who run Italy and Holland have offered her asylum but the country which surely has a greater obligation than any to offer Bibi sanctuary is the United Kingdom. But Mrs May, who makes such great play on her Christian upbringing and values, has done nothing.
This is, I think her most despicable act. But perhaps I have missed out another act or ommission from the wretched May which will help cement her position as Britain’s worst ever Prime Minister.

Steyn is a genius and he sums up the difference between the UK's worst ever Prime Minister and the worst ever leader of the opposition superbly over at www.SteynOnline.com . The great man writes:
The people of the United Kingdom face a political choice between Jeremy Corbyn, who is sincerely appalling, and Theresa May, who is insincerely appalling. Corbyn doesn't like the Queen, the union, the army, the Jews; on the other hand, he's quite partial to the IRA and Middle Eastern terrorists. And, somewhat to his credit, he's either not very good at pretending otherwise or disinclined to do so. Mrs May, by contrast, is a shifty dissembler. Who knows what, if any, are her genuine beliefs - or even if she's capable of recognizing such a concept.
Nevertheless, it is some considerable achievement for a Tory leader to have inflicted more damage on the nation than a polytechnic Trotskyite would. In June 2016, when David Cameron went flouncing off into the post-referendum sunset, Mrs May seized the prime ministership under a characteristically evasive battle-cry of "Brexit means Brexit".
Two-and-a-half years on, Brexit means anything but Brexit. The Spectator has a grim hit parade of the Top Forty horrors to emerge from the PM's "deal" with Brussels. Sample quote from her triumphant "agreement" with the Eurocrats:
All references to Member States and competent authorities of Member States ...shall be read as including the United Kingdom.
As I said months back: Welcome to the Hotel Brexifornia. You can check "Out" any time you like, but you can never leave.

As you might have guessed I regard Theresa May as a treacherous liar and the worst Prime Minister in history. She once called the Tory Party the nasty party but today it is the left in Britain which is truly nasty. The weaponisation of actual suicides as a stick to beat the wretched May is just a new low. Yes, for me, this is personal. My mother killed herself. I have struggled with depression and mental breakdown and have discussed both matters openly. In my wider family there have been three more suicides since 1933. Suicide is a very serious issue which we should be able to talk about openly and honestly. Yet..
The tweet below seeks explicitly to link the death of one young mum to the actions of Mrs May. Natch it was widely "liked" and retweeted hence I stumbled across it thanks to financial journalist Christopher Menon who then defended it to the hilt. As a financial journalist it is particularly sad that Menon's anger and hatred of the Conservatives makes him unable to look at hard data.
There are so many complex factors that drive one to the edge to make that ghastly and, in the case of a mother, terribly selfish decision to end it all. Whether the State spends more or less on mental health care will not really address those issues - honesty and being able to talk openly about suicide might.
For what its worth, the ONS records that the suicide rate per 100,000 citizens was 14.7 in 1981, 12.4 in 1998, 10.2 when the evil Tories came to power in 2010 and 10.1 in 2017 - that would be the second lowest rate in modern history and the downward trend is intact.
Much though I despise Mrs May, weaponising the death of a young mother at her own hands, especially when hard data flies in the face of such a statement, is just truly despicable. When the left proclaims its nastiness in this way surely any balanced and fair person must recoil in disgust.

The most wretched Prime Minister in the history of Britain continues to tour the TV and Radio studios to tell people that her deal gives Britain the Brexit we voted for. Of course, that is a lie. We know it. She knows it. Everyone knows it. Her deal leaves the UK paying £39 billion to be governed by laws and regulations set by a body where we have no control. It is indeed taxation without representation. Mrs May is playing George III and we know how it worked out for him.
But she insists it is a good deal for Britain and her servants in the MSM depict anyone who disagrees as some sort of extremist head-banger. Her servants insult a great many folks who were, in the past, diehard Tory voters and those folks know full well that this deal is a very bad deal indeed.
If insulting the intelligence of your core voters was an Olympic Sport, team Tory would right now be heading for a gold medal. Loyalist MP Rory Stewart, a man who will be in the final redoubt, confidently asserted that 80% of people support the May deal. There is no polling data to back that up, indeed there is a lot of data showing that more than 80% of folks don’t back the deal. But Stewart seems to assume that if you lie brazenly enough you may be believed. Rory – we Tories are not that stupid.
And then we have the tweet below from Redditch MP Rachel Maclean.
Held my constituency surgery this morning. Picked up a few new @Conservatives party members on the basis of the PM proposed agreement. We must all remember that in the country the vast majority of people have a huge admiration for PM’s guts and determination to battle on.
If you look at the responses to this obvious lie you will see not one voice raised to support it just hundreds of folks responding with anger and derision. And those were, until recently, the Party’s most loyal supporters.
Right now, with their worst leader in history, Labour is 3% ahead in the polls.
If there was an election tomorrow Labour would be in power either with an outright majority or as part of a hard-left coalition of chaos with the SNP and others. A surge in the UKIP vote, anti Tories coalescing around Labour and the general uselessness of Mrs May’s party would see Redditch go red. I shall stay up for that one.
Many of us lent Mrs May our votes last time because she would deliver Brexit. She and her party just do not seem to grasp just how betrayed we feel and how angry. If the Tories stick with Mrs May and her strategy of insulting her core supporters, that anger and sense of betrayal will grow and the poll gap will widen. However awful Corbyn is, and he is indeed a dreadful prospect, I cannot see how I for one can possibly vote for a Tory Party led by May or one of her loyalists ever again. And I am not alone.

It seems that there are around 80 British women who went to Syria, married ISIS fighters - most of whom are now thankfully dead - but with the collapse of the Islamofascist state now want to come back to Britain. No doubt wretched Theresa May will allow them back, give them social housing and a full range of benefits but why on earth should we? One of these ghastly women has poured out her heart to ITV news as you can see below. It is pathetic, implausible and nauseating.
Apparently she was at a low point in her life and somehow found herself in Syria. You know, she was heading off for a weekend in Margate, took a wrong turn and wholly by accident ended up crossing the Turkish border in the dead of night and found herself in Raqqa. It was all some sort of ghastly misunderstanding. Whatever.
When things were going swimmingly for ISIS with daily executions to watch, lessons for the kids in how to behead infidels and all that sort of thing, the women seemed happy. But now that, thanks largely to the heroic Kurds and Presidents Assad and Putin, ISIS has been almost obliterated they want to come back to the UK. A caring Government would say "tough, you made your bed now lie in it... you signed up to be part of an organisation committed to destroying the Western way of life now sod off."
Are we to believe that all of these women have truly renounced the evil of ISIS and repented of their sins? Why on earth should they be allowed to come back to leach off the British taxpayer? Let them rot in a now liberated Raqqa and perhaps that will send a clear signal to any other wannabee jihadist brides, that when planning a trip to sign up with head-removing fanatics you only need to purchase a one way ticket.
ITV brings us this ghastly woman below thus:
The one-time women of so-called Islamic State who travelled to Syria from Britain to join the terror organisation have spoken to ITV News, issuing pleas to the UK Government to allow them and their children to return home https://t.co/prNat9BMgf pic.twitter.com/bdp1hsHMpl

Karen White insists that she is a woman. She is what progressives would term a woman with a penis. Right now she is "transitioning" but is a woman. Got it? Welcome to the transgender asylum.
As Stephen Wood this vile individual has a lifetime of rapes and assaults against both women and children behind him. In September last year Wood was held on remand after his latest crime but insisted that he was a woman and wanted to go to a women’s prison and the authorities accepted his request.
I use the word his because Wood has a penis. The Guardian and others use the word her because Wood – or Karen White as he/she wants to be known – says he is a woman. Anyhow, thanks to the useless Tories and their desire to virtue signal at every turn this monster was sent to a women’s prison where he promptly sexually assaulted two inmates. Why allow this folly?
In 2016 the Government concluded that the treatment of transgender people in the criminal justice system had not kept pace with "wider social views". While the 2011 guidelines had emphasised the role of GRCs and medical interventions, the report noted that many transgender people successfully lived their lives without these. The new policy needed to “take as its starting presumption a wish to respect someone in the gender in which they identify”.
So up until 2011 if you had a penis you went to a man's prison. From 2011-16 a doctor's note could get you into a women's prison with your penis. But now all you need to say is that you identify as a woman and you can take your penis straight to a women's prison.
This is insanity. The idea that someone with a penis (with or without a history of violent and sexual crime) can go to a women’s jail or use a changing room with your 13 year old daughter or swim in a women’s pool might be in line with “wider social views” in the left wing Madrassas of the British university system. Or in the Guardian Editorial meeting or among folks like Theresa may and Amber Rudd at the top of what used to be the Conservative party.
Out there in the real world we are just not that daft. Sadly for two inmates at New Hall prison Wakefield now recovering from sexual assault, it is not the sane 95% but an out of touch 5% elite who get to set the rules.

Forcing companies to disclose the pay of men and women demonstrated two things clearly. Firstly that folks doing different jobs earned different salaries and secondly the willingness of the liberal left and the media to distort data to pursue a virtue signalling agenda, and one that lumbers business with more costs and pressures. There is a gender pay gap but its narrowing and it cannot simply be put down to sexism as I explained to the free speech loving ,angelic. multi-brained genius students at Bath Spa University here
One imagines this madness for gender equality audits came from the left but amazingly it is a fake Tory, that is to say wretched and hopeless Prime Minister Theresa May who is pursuing this insanity. Now she is going further.
It seems Mrs May is looking to force firms to do a race audit of workers. God help us all. Recent migrants tend to do lower paid jobs like cleaning and security. Vast number of the non whites in this country have arrived in the past thirty years. Well guess what that means?.
My wife’s community of migrants, that is to say the Indians, tend to be far longer established in the UK and also to be far more Middle Class than most migrants. So I look forward to data showing that the average Indian earns more than the average white but sadly the average black worker will earn less. Will this prove institutional racism in favour of Indians but against blacks? No. It will show that different communities tend, for reasons not determined by whether their skin is white or not, to be overly represented in different jobs. But the race obsessed left will not see it that way and will instead engage in an orgy of abuse towards wicked capitalists and the evils of capitalism.
The poor capitalists will be lumbered with more forms to fill in and will then have to jump through hoops apologising for their “crimes” in order to appease mobs on social media whipped up by folks such as the BBC.
In days of old the Tory party would have called out this nonsense for what it is. Can you imagine Margaret Thatcher suggesting this new burden on business knowing full well what the outcome will be? But in 2018 it is the Tory party of Mrs May that is instigating it.
This is yet another reason, of so many, why Mrs May must go now. She will achieve nothing with this policy, those who applaud it will still hate the Tories, it will create division not harmony and it will penalise, for no reason, folks who should be natural supporters.

She is a wretched Prime Minister. Her Brexit plans are a joke but her dancing is off the scale in terms of making one cringe. And thus how to start her speech at the Tory conference today. It may be less embarrassing than her policies but only just. Watch and cringe.

Just when I was starting to feel a tiny but sorry for wretched Theresa May the Tories launch a new campaign of virtue signalling which leaves me despising them ever more. The Tories, it seems, are concerned that more men than women start their own businesses and so it is “launching a campaign to remove barriers”.
Once upon a time the Tory party recognised that helping all small business grow was a good thing since they were the creators of jobs, wealth and opportunity. Now it concerns itself with virtue signalling and social engineering. You cannot force folks to risk their capital. But a real Tory would know that to help all small businesses Government should not do more but less.
A real Tory Government would be looking to phase out employers NI contributions for smaller firms and start-ups, so removing a tax on jobs. It would be looking to curb and reverse the crippling increases we have seen in business rates. It would be seeking to reduce regulation, the number of regulatory and tax filings one must make and make it easier to fire staff without the risk of ending up ion a costly and time consuming industrial tribunal. It would stop pushing up the minimum wage – every time that happens it pushes some small businesses operating on the margin, over the edge.
That would help all small businesses and entrepreneurs including those run by women and would create more jobs for men and women. The new initiative will merely mean more government spending and we all know who pays for that.
Of course the number of women entrepreneurs has been increasing, and fairly rapidly, for years. And it will carry on rising reflecting what was happening in society as a whole, just as the number of female CEOs, company directors, partners of law forms etc is on an ever increasing upwards curve. The Tories initiative will not accelerate this process but it will allow Mrs May and her non-Tory party to claim credit for what would have happened anyway. As swell as ot being proper Tories, Mrs May’s party are also not terribly honest.
Meanwhile, in the real world, entrepreneurs, male female and all the other 94 genders cry out for less Government. That is something the Tory party used to believe in.

On September 11 (9/11) 17 years ago, Al Qaeda – an organisation we in the West had armed and funded when it was fighting the Russians in Afghanistan - showed its gratitude by slaughtering more than 3,000 of us by sending two planes into the Twin Towers in New York. Those Islamofascists sure know how to say “thanks”. Today we are told we must #NeverForget and that the UK and US must carry on standing shoulder to shoulder fighting terror. This is truly the stuff of 1984.
Not only are we in the West supporting terrorists we are actually supporting Al Qaeda linked groups that is to say the main opposition to President Assad in Syria. How crazy is that? Do you think that they will say thank you and be our friends this time? Of course not. They hate us and despise everything we stand for. In areas they control, the folks we are supporting execute gays and Christians and Shia Muslims and Alawites. They force women to cover themselves from head to toe. No dissent is allowed, these people despise all the liberal and democratic values of the West it is just that, for now as in Afghanistan forty years ago, they are happy to take our guns and cash.
So we are not fighting terror we are supporting it – a policy I regard as insane as explained here.
Luckily there is a way out. President Assad, backed by Iran and Russia, is in the process of wiping out terrorists in Syria whether they be of the ISIS variety, the new bogeyman, or the Al Qaeda variety, those the buffoon David Cameron termed “the moderates” as he sent them guns and cash. Assad and the heroic Kurds, have almost cleared the country of the terrorist vipers.
Assad is fighting terror as is President Putin. We do not need to get involved. We should never have got involved but thanks to the folly of Obama, Cameron and crooked Hillary we did roll up to bat for the wrong team. Now the war is almost over. Natch the West will call it wrong and again offer sanctuary in the West to more Al Qaeda supporters. And when one of them goes on a rampage over here, knifing, shooting, mowing down with a car or blowing up our fellow citizens, perhaps, you will remember to send Mrs May a thank you card for being so utterly dumb.
If we want to fight terror and ensure it really is #NeverAgain we should just stand back and watch Presidents Assad and Putin kill as many of these vermin as possible as they make Idlib a terrorist free zone and restore peace to Syria. On 9 /11 I am happy to say that I hope Assad and Putin and their brave troops slaughter every single Islamofascist fighter in Idlib and so make the world a safer and better place.
I honour those who were murdered on 9/11. Our leaders by arming and funding folks who are aligned with those who carried out the attack dishonour our dead and make the world a more dangerous place.

Downing Street is desperate to bully us into backing its weedy sell out Chequers plan on Brexit, or indeed an even more pathetic version of it once the EU make demands which wretched Theresa May caves to. It has thus unleahsed , via pliant papers such as The Sunday Times and, especially, the Mail on Sunday, a deluge of scare stories about the possible consequences of not agreeing to its awful deal.
The problem is that no-one believed Project Fear back in 2016. You will remember that we were warned that simply the act of voting for Leave would cause 600,000 job losses, mass departures of financiers to Frankfurt and the stockmarket to plunge. Of course employment is now at record highs with massive job gains over the last two years, it is now accepted that fewer than 5,000 City jobs (c1% of all City jobs) will be lost to Europe post Brexit and the stockmarket has reached new record highs since June 23 2016.
So Project Fear was just lie after lie. Project Fear v2 therefore ups the ante. We have been warned that there would be no air flights allowed over Europe, that we would run out of milk, cheese and power. And today, in a warning that we middle aged and old folk who voted for Brexit cannot ignore, the Mail on Sunday tells us that we may run out of viagra here in the UK. Shit! Brexit means no sex. Millions will, at once, be rallying behind Mrs May and her Chequers plan.
Or rather they will just be saying this is an even more ridiculous lie from the loathsome Mrs May and her cabal of unlelected advisers in the last redoubt. Once again we do not believe a word of it and the sooner Mrs May goes the better,

Yesterday we quite rightly celebrated the 100th anniversary of the birth of Nelson Mandela. There was a man only to wiling to accept his own failings but who brought his country together after a bitter conflict through reconciliation. Past sins, by all sides were to be forgotten. The future is what mattered. That was the clearest demonstration of the genius and the humanity of a great man like Mandela. Today is the anniversary of the Hyde & Regents Park bombings in which eleven British ceremonial soldiers and horses were butchered and countless tourists injured by the IRA.
We know who planted those bombs, John Downey for he was eventually put on trial in 2014. But he promptly produced a 2007 letter from the Police Service of Northern Ireland saying that he had been given an amnesty and so he never faced a jury telling him that he was guilty or a terrible offence. In fact the PSNI handed out 187 such letters, in the name of peace and reconciliation. To killers on the run,. In the wake of the Good Friday Agreement. Count, less more convicted killers were freed from prison.
Although my family are originally from the Nortnernmost county of Ireland and I am a Protestant and regard the IRA and its leaders, notably the repellent Gerry Adams, as vermin, for the sake of peace I have to accept that Mandela showed a way that Ulster should follow.
Except that is not what has happened. The families of those slain in the London parks or of thousands of other murdered folk, soldiers, RUC men, civilians, missionaries and even a 5 month old baby (murdered 46 years and one day ago by an IRA bomb) will never know who pulled the trigger or detonated the explosion. Yet the British taxpayer forks out tenss of millions for an enquiry into Bloody Sunday. And now it gets worse…
The PSNI is now investigating every killing during the troubles by British Forces in Northern Ireland. Up to a thousand old men, now in their sixties and seventies face the prospect of questioning under caution. How on earth is this anything other than a double standard?
Shamefully, the Northern Ireland Minister Karen Bradley and her wretched boss Prime Minister Theresa may have rejected calls for a time limited ban on such investigations. Such wretched cowardice by them is yet another reason why, I cannot in all good conscience, give my vote once again to the appalling Conservatives at the next election. We know that Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn was buddies with the IRA but the Tories should do better and show an even handed approach to justice in Northern Ireland to foster true reconciliation. They do not and is just as shameful as those militant nationalists who also support this double standard.
Does anyone other than pathetic Ms Bradley and the wretched Prime Minister, truly think that putting an old man who may by then be eighty on trial for an event that happened in 1972 while known butchers from the IRA walk free. and in some case stand for election for Sinn Fein, will achieve anything at all?

It is being reported today that Britain’s worst ever Prime Minister, the wretched Theresa May told former Brexit Secretary David Davis that she was unable to amend her proposed Brexit plan because she had already had it cleared by German leader Frau Merkel. And this is before the UK cabinet got to see the plan let alone agree to it.
The Prime Minister is meant to be “primus inter pares”, that is to say in Britain the Cabinet takes a collective decision. But in this case it did not. The Prime Minister took a decision about the future of this country and got sign off from the leader of another, Germany, before presenting this as a fait accompli to her Cabinet, her party and the Country.
Given that what Mrs May proposes crosses e very red line she has promised to set, breaches her election manifesto and is clearly not what 17.4 million of us voted for, these acts are, if not treasonous, damn close to it. At best it brings to mind thoughts of Chamberlain, another piece of paper, another German leader and his, mistaken, belief that he had secured a great deal for Britain.
But the Merkel claim is, at present, just a claim, albeit one clearly originating with Davis. Mrs May can deny it and effectively accuse Davis of lying or she can ‘fess up. If it is the latter, surely even the most spineless and careerist of Tory MP’s must demand her resignation. For the electorate will not forgive a Party led by a woman who takes her lead on this critical matter from the leader of Germany. The precedent in that regard is not a good one.

A Survation poll taken on Saturday shows the Tories falling fast to 38% and Labour rising to 40%. And the Brexit betrayal backlash is only just beginning. For starters, Mrs May’s henchmen have so far managed to gag most Tory MPs with threats while they spin the line that her betrayal is a good deal for Britain and is essentially what we 17.4 million voted for. That gag and that lie won’t hold for long. And secondly many of us were too bothered about the World Cup and associated drinking to take on board the full scale of the treachery, of the red lines and ,manifesto pledges abandoned. Only now is that sinking in.
But if you look at online articles on the matter you will see Tory loyalist after Tory loyalist showing photos of ripped up membership cards or making pledges to never trust the party again. If you thought that hell hath no fury like a woman scorned think again and look at what Tory party die-hards are saying today.
For while Mrs May is rightly slammed as a wretched viper the way that the Cabinet brexiteers have just caved brings the whole party into disrepute. The Tories are now quite simply the party you just cannot trust.
Some, like myself, will go the whole way and vote for Labour just to punish the vile hag May and her party. Others take great joy in saying that they will vote UKIP or not at all. If the prince over the seas, that is Nigel Farage, returns to lead UKIP, the Tories will see wholesale desertions not just over voters but of their party members as well. The more Mrs May and the spineless toads who surround her tell us the obvious lie that this is a good deal for Britain and is what the 17.4 million voted for the more hated they will become.
The Tories will spin hard, the line that if folks like me do not show loyalty to the Tories the country will be ruined by Comrade Corbyn with, or without the assistance of the SNP and other loons. But again they misjudge the mood of so many of the 17.4 million of us who voted for Brexit. The mirage of economic prosperity of the past few years is largely a story of asset bubbles created by QE and low interest rates. Folks feel wealthier if they own property in London or the South East and to a lesser extent in the rest of Britain or if they own shares. Folks in the City and in the upper echelons of the public sector have had big wage rises.
But many of us in the 17.4 million live well away from the degenerate hell-hole that is London, we are relatively asset poor and our wage growth has been pedestrian, at best, over the past decade. We are the Trump voters of the swing flyover states – The Donald said he’d make America Great again and make us better off, Crooked Hillary insisted America was doing very well already. The folks she spoke for on the Coasts were doing well ( largely thanks to asset bubbles) but there was no spill-over in the flyover states.
So if Theresa May tries to scare the 17.4 million with talk of how Corbyn will ruin everything and damage their economic well-being, her words will be wasted on many of us who voted Tory last time despite Mrs May and in no great hope of economic gain but because she alone among party leaders said that Brexit meant Brexit. She lied to us and we will punish her. Maybe in London she does not understand how angry folk are about this sell-out but out there in the boonies many of us who voted Tory last time are livid and will not be scared back into the fold whatever happens.
For reasons I explained a couple of days ago, I fear the UK will go to the dogs under Labour but I can’t see that Mrs May’s Tories are that much better. And thus my only desire is to punish Mrs May and her party at the polls with a wipe-out that makes 1997 look like a triumph. Soon Mrs May will realise that I am far from alone.

For many of us Brexit was the defining issue of the past few years. Finally we got a referendum, we were promised that the result would be implemented and we won. Slowly the political class backtracked and now today, Theresa May, will set down a watered down proposal which is a sell out. Mrs May is a Quisling. Gone are her “red lines”. Gone is the ability to cut our own trades deals so to get cheaper tariff free food for the poor and working classes. We will have to accept laws and restrictions imposed by a bloc to which we hand over a vast cheque but have no say over, the Evil Empire. This is the worst of all worlds. This is the bad deal that is worse than no deal. Mrs May has betrayed us.
How as a loyal Tory does one react? It is not as if, under Mrs May, this is a Tory party I recognise or respect. Pro tem, sweating my balls off and risking my capital in the private sector I see tax freedom day (now June 3) move later every year and I see that private sector pay increases have lagged those in the public sector since 2010. Yet laughably Mrs May is now promising more tax hikes in order to end “austerity” for public sector pay. The party of law and order unleashes initiative after initiative to tackle those who might “offend” others while proposing that folks sentenced to a year or less, i.e. real criminals, should be let out of jail free.
The party of a sound defence supports prosecuting soldiers who served in Ulster 40 years ago but rewards returning jihadis with benefits and a bump up the council house waiting list. The party of freedom flaps pathetically but does nothing tangible to stop a growing suppression of free speech on campuses across the land. The party of small Government is still running a vast deficit – and now plans to borrow more for more public sector wage hikes – as borrowing mounts higher and higher.
The list goes on and on and on. Mrs May’s Conservative party is really not that different from the Labour party but the latter has not served up the biggest betrayal of democracy since Ted Heath told all those lies to get us into the EU in the first place. And as such Mrs May and the party she leads deserves the fate of Peel’s Tories after the repeal of the Corn Laws, only back then the PM did the “right” thing for his country , rather than betraying it. So the fate the rotten Tories deserve in 2018 is not to be thrown out of power for a generation but for good.
I know that Labour will train wreck the economy by being even more profligate than the Tories but my time as a capitalist is almost up anyway. Risking my capital, working myself into an early grave so creating jobs, generating taxes, sod that for a game of soldiers. This “golden goose” is retiring before the next election at which I shall be voting Labour as one last fuck you to the traitor May and to her pathetic and wretched party which allowed her to behave in this way. The so called Brexiteers of the cabinet who will roll over today are pitiful.
I realise many others will find the idea of voting Labour too much to stomach but many good Tories will protest with other parties or, more likely, just stay at home. Why should we show any loyalty to those folks who have betrayed us? And that might just be enough to see Jeremy Corbyn, propped up by a coalition of nationalists and fringe parties, heading to Downing Street.
Mrs May you wretched and appalling traitor, your duplicity and mendacity will be the architect of that defeat.

In another GDPR non compliant mailing from snowflake liberal spammers SumofUs a bird called Anna Liberadzki asks me for £2 to ensure Donald Trump is met with massive protests when he lands in the UK. Anna, as is the way with SumofUs, just cannot help but tell lies.
On 13 July, Donald Trump will touch down in the UK. As Theresa May welcomes Trump and his hateful brand of politics with open arms -- we’re going to greet him with a huge carnival of resistance, from the moment he steps off the plane.
We’re ready to go all out. We need tens - even hundreds - of thousands of people there. We need coaches from across the country, we need banners, placards, eye-catching costumes, big sound systems, and huge billboards with messages for Trump from activists around the world.
But these things cost money, Tom. We need your support today to show Trump a massive people-powered display of resistance that he can’t ignore. We don’t have much time -- will you chip in today to stop Trump?
Donating just takes a moment – use Paypal or your card. Chip in £2 for a huge carnival of resistance to stop Trump!
Right now, Donald Trump’s administration is cruelly and systematically separating thousands of children from their families, and even babies are being caged and detained at the US border.
If we let his UK visit go ahead unchallenged, it will send a message that the UK endorses this politics of hate. We’ve already felt the impact of Trumpism in the UK: a rise in hate crime, a growing hostile environment for migrants, and he’s even endorsed fascist group Britain First.
No thanks! While Theresa May wines and dines him, it’s up to us to show that hundreds of thousands of people in the UK are saying no to Trump and all he represents!
Etc etc, yadda, yadda, yadda.
Of course Mrs May is not welcoming Trump with open arms. The UK’s most useless Tory Prime Minister in history is always lecturing The Donald which is one reason why he declined to sit down with her at the G7.
So Trumpism is to blame for a rise in hate crime and a growing hostile environment for migrants? Really? Just a year ago the same folks at SumofUs were telling us that it was Brexit that was entirely responsible for this. Whatever. I guess an apology will be on its way to Gisela Stuart, Pritti Patel and Farage. Or maybe not.
As for Trump endorsing fascist group Briatn First. Well that is just a lie. He retweeted a tweet from the leader of the fascist group without knowing who she was. That is rather different from endorsing the loathsome party. Unlike his predecessor Trump declines to suggest in any way how folks in the UK should vote. So that statement is a lie. He has never, for the avoidance of doubt, endorsed Britain First. That is just a slam dunk lie from Anna.
And as it happens the statement that Trump’s administration was “cruelly and systematically separating thousands of children from their families, and even babies are being caged and detained at the US border” was not really true either. No babies were being caged despite the efforts of some to spread fake photos. Kids of illegal immigrants were taken from their parents as the latter had been arrested for a crime and it was thought wrong to throw the kids in jail with them.
These are illegal immigrants – what would SumofUs ask Trump to do, just let them all in? I suspect it would but it is not honest enough to say that. Anyhow Trump has now stopped this policy with an executive order. So Right now Anna should be sending out a correction on that matter too.
So the spam is based on lies. That is usually the case with SumofUs but donate away snowflakes there are some well heeled millennials who need your money to pay their salaries so they can tell more lies.

Is Mrs May the worst Tory PM since Heath, since Chamberlain or ever? That would be my suggested question for this summer’s A level politics students and her weekend pledge to give a £384 million a week Brexit dividend to the NHS might just be a central case study. At every level it shows why this wretched woman will tell whatever lie she thinks will win her votes in a desperate attempt to keep her job. It is truly pitiful.
You will remember that in the referendum campaign “Vote Leave” said that quitting the EU would save £350 million a week which could or would go to the NHS. Mrs May is now telling Brexit backing Tories (i.e. most of the party if not the MPs) that she is £34 million a week better than Boris. Except, what Mrs May says is not true.
The pitiful woman has already signed us up to pay a £40 billion divorce bill without finding what we get in return ( hint it will be bad things). So after years of handing over billions of pounds a year to support corrupt politicians and inefficient farmers and manufacturers across Europe we now have to pay even more to leave. It is obviously a piss poor deal.
But what is more obvious that there is no Brexit dividend. We pay £40 billion to save c£8 billion a year so only after five years can we start talking about dividends for the NHS. But Mrs May plans to start to spend, spend, spend now!
To be fair she admits some of the cash will come from more taxation and from borrowing. What she means by that is that since there is no Brexit dividend (and the cash saved in the end is taxpayers cash anyway) she plans to spend more on the NHS by increasing taxes and by taking on more debt which will have to be serviced and repaid by future taxpayers.
In 2018 Tax Freedom Day fell on May 29th. Until that point everything the average person earned went to Mrs May to piss away. After that Mr or Ms Average got to work for themselves. According to the Adam Smith Institute which tracks Tax Freedom Day, the event was celebrated o May 26 in 2017 and the 2018 date is the latest since reliable records began. Tax Freedom Day was probably higher in the late 1970s but it is hard to prove. Back in the mid 1990s tax freedom day was in the first couple of days of May. Tax Freedom Day was on May 18th when Call Me Dave came to power and May 23rd when the wretched Theresa took charge. It will almost certainly head into June in 2019.
So tax is already going up and here is Mrs May who, together with Phil Hammond, have already soaked the taxpayer in a way not seen since the days of Callaghan and Healey planning to make things even worse. At such stage those who pay the most tax will say that enough is enough and will stop working, risking their capital or living in this rain sodden isle. Real Tories like Pritti Patel understand that.
But what about the poor NHS? Mrs May says that one reason to make this pledge is because “it is time to end austerity.” Hogwash. Government spending has risen year on year since the evil Tories returned to power in 2010 and spending on the NHS has been rising in real terms (i.e. adjusting for inflation) in real terms at a fair old rate since Mrs may took charge. There has been no austerity.
If you keep chucking money at the NHS you merely delay the day when it addresses its fundamental inefficiencies. It pays far more than it needs to for drugs, it employs far more managers in relation to front line staff than any private healthcare provider, it uses those staff in an inefficient way.
Take the annual “training courses” in ski resorts attended by thousands of greedy doctors each year when – thanks to flu and ice on the roads – we know hospitals will be at their busiest. The NHS subsidises those jollies. It then invites the media to see how understaffed it is at its peak times and says that is because its staff are so badly paid. Of course doctors are incredibly well paid but the narrative works and so Mrs May is now agreeing to pay rises all round in the NHS. But if staff are off on skiing jollies at peak times you will always have staff shortages.
Those lobbying on behalf of staff in the world’s fourth largest employer ( behind the US Military, China’s army and Wal-Mart) do a great job in demanding ever more and in refusing to accept that the NHS is badly managed and riven with inefficiency. The NHS Unions are like the Miners of old – whatever they demand they get. Lady Thatcher or Priti Patel might stand up to them, explain to the electorate how much doctors and NHS managers earn and deal with the real issues. But while Grocer Heath tried to take the Miners on, before folding like a useless pack of cards, Mrs May is so wretched that she just goes along with whatever she thinks folks want to hear.
At every level Sunday’s Brexit dividend for the NHS announcement is a lie and marks a new low for the woman who is, I would argue, the worst Tory Prime Minister in history.

I do not look back at my old University with some of the unbridled love that others show. Indeed, at times of stress, my nightmare is of again sitting finals and being even more at sea than I was the first time around. About once a week James Delingpole remarks about how our alma mater has gone to the dogs and, he has a point, it does seem to be a nest of silliness these days.
This week we have seen the Geography department take down a picture of one of its more famous graduates as part of an exhibition celebrating famous women who attended the University. It had been "obscured" by critical messages, that is to say it had been "plastered" with messages about issues including immigration, Windrush and Brexit.
A university spokesman said removing Theresa May's picture was "absolutely not done to make a political point". Nope it was taken down because students who do not believe in free speech had kicked up a fuss and so effectively "no platformed" the portrait.
In the same week we learn that male students at the formerly all women's college Somerville had engaged in a "dirty protest" that is to say they had pissed on the floors of what are now unisex urinals in protest at the removal of male and female only loos. This removal was done in order not to offend transgender students.
Given that, even at Somerville, there cannot be that many transgender students (trans folks in Britain being fewer in number than those identifying as Jedi knights) so surely this loo changing business is excessive. I stand by my reactionary view that, if my daughter gets into Oxford, I'd rather she did not encounter someone with a penis zipping himself up in the toilets even if he does identify as a woman. I am not sure I'd piss on the floor to make my point but since I imagine that it is impossible to debate the issue without being termed a bigot, as happened to poor uber liberals Peter Tatchell and Germaine Greer, maybe pissing on the floor is now the only option.
Then there are proposals to make exams longer so that women get better marks, constant demands to tear down statues of dead white men who gave vast sums to Oxford often allowing living non-white people their only chance to attend. Christian Union's get banned from college fresher's fairs since they might offend LGBT folks. Natch the Islamic society faces no such problems.
The whole institution is just a nest of silliness, desperate not to offend anyone unless they straight, Christian or a Tory in which case they deserve to be offended in a ritualistic manner..
The big storm right now is about how Oxford can ensure that more state school kids attend. The high point for state school attendance was in the mid six when more progressive dons in charge of entrance encountered more bright and well taught kids than ever before from state schools, that is to say grammar schools. Then in the name of progress, grammar schools were scrapped, and fewer state school kids went to Oxford. It was not that the Dons became less progressive. Au contraire. Most Oxford Dons are ball-breakingly PC. It is just that there were fewer decent candidates from non public schools.
Those state school kids that did get in were often incredibly posh. I remember one terrible brat who was in my year and my college who made great play about how she had attended a London state school. Yeah right, deprived inner city kid and all that. Except that it soon emerged that her dad was an old Etonian, ex Labour MP and she grew up in a mansion. But heck her presence and that of Guardian employed Russia conspiracy fantasising lunatic Carole Cadwalladr from the poshest comprehensive in Cardiff - its great if mummy and daddy can afford to buy into the catchment area - boosted the stats making them pretty meaningless anyway.
But Oxford will ensure that more kids from posh state schools, where mummy and daddy can afford to buy £2 million houses as "the entrance test," are admitted so making the quotas look better. The real problem of course is that we need to bring back grammar schools and sack some of the half witted teachers and head teachers who make the UK state education system such an A* for everybody complete and utter joke. But will anyone at progressive Oxford dare to say that, in an institution where, these days, even portraits get no platformed for being, vaguely, right wing?

This report tallies with that of Robert Fisk who is also in Douma. It looks more and more as if the claims of wretched Theresa May, the fag Macron and Donald Trump to have had proof that President Assad gassed Douma were lies and that makes the bombing of Syria, that they ordered, a war crime. When will the mainstream media stop behaving like war crazy jingoistic poltroons, spouting the Governmental fake news and start reporting what actually happened? Enjoy the video.

The war criminal famously justified his illegal war in Iraq with the claim that British interests could be attacked within 45 minutes by Saddam Hussein's army. That was a lie. Blair claimed attacking Iraq made thee UK safer. Of course in unleashing ISIS and acting as a recruiting sergeant for jihadists everywhere it made Britain far less safe. Blair lied. But over Syria Theresa May has lied in the same way. I quote the most useless Tory PM since Ted Heath on why she ordered the RAF to bomb:
“I have done so because I judge this action to be in Britain’s national interest. We cannot allow the use of chemical weapons to become normalised – within Syria, on the streets of the UK, or anywhere else in our world. We would have preferred an alternative path. But on this occasion there is none.”
Ok. I will for now accept Theresa May's claims that Assad carried out gas attacks in Syria in 2017 and 2018 both of which were met with allied bombing as a response. I do not actually accept that for good reason as you can see HERE. But for now I humour Mrs May. I will also humour her by accepting - though I have seen no hard, as opposed to circumstantial - evidence that Russia carried out the chemical attack in Salisbury.
So Mrs May:
1. If Allied bombing acts as a deterrent to Assad why did the 2017 bombing not deter him?
2. Do you think that bombing a tin pot little country in the Middle East which has never attacked one British citizen ( other than some of the Jihadis it is fighting) or Britain will deter any other nation?
3. If not when will you show consistency and bomb Russia?
4. Do you think Russia will be deterred from poisoning other folks in the UK by British planes bombing a couple of deserted factories in the Syrian desert?
5. By assisting fighters in Syria who are affiliated to Al Qaeda - which has attacked the West - by attacking forces fighting those jihadists how do you make Britain safer?
What Mrs May is patent nonsense even if you believe the claims she makes about the authorship of three chemical attacks where she has no concrete proof. And if you doubt that she has proof, as I do, then her position becomes even more ridiculous.
Yet in Airstrip One the media laps it up and praises her brave and statesmanlike words.

Robert Fisk of the Independent does not always get it right, hence the term Fisking, but the Middle East veteran is not a man to generate pure fake news and right now he is on the ground in Douma, the scene of the alleged chemical weapons attack by President Assad and his first report last night begs the question of whether Theresa May, that fag Macron and President Trump are lying war criminals, like Tony Blair.
Fisk's report is HERE and the first point to take out is just how clear it is that Douma was not besieged but liberated. The ordinary people there are delighted to be free of some really vile Islamofascists.
But the main point is that Fisk, on the ground, finds folks who cast grave doubt indeed on whether there was a chemical weapons attack at all. The only "evidence" folks like Macron and May appear to have is from people such as the White Helmets who are hardly impartial - they have fled to Idlib with the other jihadists. On the ground Fisk finds real evidence that the gas attack was a false flag, it was made up as Syria and Russia have resolutely insisted.
I concede that the jury is out. But what if there was no gas attack? At that point May, Macron and Trump would have launched an assault on what basis? On the basis of what in Iraq came to be known as "the dodgy dossier", i.e very flimsy documentation which fell well short of proof.
Chemical weapons inspectors arrived in Damascus on Saturday. They are already interviewing doctors on the scene and will have primary evidence within days. Why did not the West wait for that?
The narrative from a bellicose political and media class is that May had to act and that in questioning this - as he questioned Iraq and Libya - Jeremy Corbyn is a total loser who just does not get it. But if Fisk is right then, once again, Corbyn - of whom I am no fan - will be vindicated and May, like Blair, will surely be seen to have rushed into illegal aggression.
What happened was #Notinmyname - those who have cheered on as the West rained destruction on Syria may soon wish to reconsider their actions.

Please do not get me wrong, the Shadow Home Secretary is very stupid and wrong on almost every issue going. As a type 2 diabetic myself I cannot forgive her for using her diabetes as a reason to dodge the heat of an election campaign, it gives the wider population a bad impression of her fellow sufferers. But this morning on the radio the old bag was being interviewed and I said to myself "spot on Comrade." I never thought I'd find myself saying that.
The subject was Syria and Comrade Diane pointed out the obvious truth that if we bomb Assad the only folks we are helping are extremist jihadis, that is to say the opposition. Ms Abbott wondered why that was thought to be such a good idea.
Quite right. can folks such as Boris Johnson and the useless Mrs May please explain why prolonging a war - the result of which is not in doubt - to allow truly evil jihadis more breathing space to kill and torture is a desirable outcome. Forget about making moral judgements on Assad that is the actual outcome that the bombers will achieve. Why does that make the world a better place? Answers please....
For all sorts of reasons, including this one, planned attacks on Syria remain very much #Notinmyname

The narrative of the Western mainstream press and of political leaders like useless PM Theresa May and, sadly these days, Donald Trump is that when an area in Syria is under control of opposition forces, it is being besieged, by evil President Assad. The truth is that such areas are being liberated from Islamofascist jihadis affiliated to Al Qaeda and when Assad takes control the folks celebrate as they are in Douma today as you can see below.
The Islamofascists previously running Douma executed gays and were committed to killing not only Christians and homosexuals but also Shia Muslims. They were very nasty indeed. They created a human shield of captured Alawites, folks from President Assad's clan.Folks who were accused of spying, even kids, were beheaded. Women had no rights.
It was the same in Eastern Aleppo where the now liberated district sees Christians using their cathedral once again, women able to walk around freely dressing as they wish and no beheadings. And it is the same across vast swathes of Syria where the people are now freed from the Islamofascists and are delighted to be so. No wonder the folks below are celebrating in Douma today.
But hang on: why are they welcoming in the troops of Assad? Has the West not proved that Assad was gassing them only a few days ago even though victory was just days away? No it has not and the smiles on faces of the people below cast even more doubt on the case for bombing which, as explained here, was already a very poor one indeed.

A friend who is the epitome of the remoaning metropolitan elitist emails me today to claim that "you really are becoming a fascist in your old age what with your support of Donald Trump and your climate change denial." The elitists always forget that labelling anyone with whom you disagree as a fascist demeans the true horror of what fascism is. But I suppose it is easier than actually debating facts. I shall deal with my admiration of the leader of the free world another day but let's look at some hard facts about climate change or , as it used to be known, global warming. I bring you three quotes:
The first is from 2000. David Viner who made his name at the world leading global warming (data bodging) establishment that was the University of East Anglia warned in 2000 in the Indescribably boring newspaper that because of global warming snow would soon become a “rare and exciting event”. He added: “Children just aren’t going to know what snow is.”
The UAE forecasts published in the late 1990s, replicated by other experts notably the IPCC, suggested that the world would just get hotter and hotter. That underpinned Viner's prediction. And this Group Think has formed the basis for the Paris Accord and other initiatives that will cripple Western economies in order to fight global warming. Only one world leader has dared to point out how horribly wrong the UEA forecasts ( and all the other "expert" projections) have been so far. If Viner at al cannot get their forecasts right for 20 years why should we believe their 100 year guesstimates?
Of course the only leader understanding this basic logic is Mr Donald Trump. Fools like Theresa May and all of the rest of the EU are happy to sign up to economic suicide for their own nations even though the data on which the hara kiri pledges are made is now utterly suspect.
So you understand Viner's predictions and the UAE/IPCC projections on which they are based. Now I refer you to the Guardian, the fake news publication of choice for metropolitan liberal elitists, from yesterday:
Record-breaking big freeze grips much of North America
Bone-chilling cold gripped the middle of the US as 2018 began on Monday, breaking a low temperature record, icing some New Year’s celebrations and leading to at least two deaths attributed to exposure to the elements.
The National Weather Service issued wind chill advisories covering a vast area from south Texas all the way to Canada and from Montana and Wyoming in the west through New England to the northern tip of Maine.
Dangerously low temperatures enveloped eight midwest states including parts of Kansas, Missouri, Illinois and Nebraska along with nearly all of Iowa, Minnesota, South Dakota and North Dakota.
The weather service said a temperature of 15 below zero (-9.44C) was recorded in Omaha before midnight on Sunday, breaking a record low dating back to 1884, and the temperature was still dropping early on New Year’s Day. That reading did not include the wind chill effect.
etc etc etc
But maybe that is a one off? I now refer you to Uncle Chris Booker writing in the Telegraph ten years ago:
"The winter from hell’
Over the first three months of 2008, as global temperatures continued to fall, the world endured one of its coldest winters for decades, In January, the northern hemisphere recorded its most extensive snow cover for the month since 1966 (just before those predictions that the world might be entering a ‘new ice age’). Not only were there record snow falls across North America, but countries such as Saudi Arabia, Iraq and several regions of China experienced more snow than they had seen for 50 or even 100 years. NOAA and the US National Climate Data Center reported that on land it had been only the 63rd warmest January globally in 114 years.
In February the chill continued. Snow was recorded in the deserts of southern Iran where no one could remember it ever falling before. Jerusalem had its second snowfall in a month. Astonished Athenians gazed up at a snow-draped Acropolis, while more than 200 villages in Greece and Crete were cut off by blizzards. In Turkey the number of villages cut off was estimated at 1,000.] Further heavy snows across southern China added to a disaster which had already damaged 10 percent of the country’s forests and devastated thousands of square miles of farmland.
As the four official sources of temperature data agreed that global temperatures had fallen below their 20th century average, even Hansen’s GISS figures showed the steepest January-to-January global temperature drop (0.75 degrees) since surface records began in 1880.
In the US in early March there were blizzards as far south as Texas and Arkansas. In the northern US states and Canada what was being called ‘the winter from hell’ continued to break records for cold and snow going back in some cases as far as 1873. In Afghanistan it was reported that the abnormal snow and freezing weather had killed 1,500 people and 200,000 animals. In Tibet six months of snow and record low temperatures had killed 500,000 animals, leaving a further three million at risk of starvation.
Meanwhile in Antarctica sea-ice cover was at its highest March level since satellite records began in 1979, nearly a third above its 30-year average. In the Arctic, where sea-ice the previous September had dropped to 3 million square kilometres, its lowest level ever recorded, prompting frenzied media predictions that it would soon be gone altogether, the winter freeze had now returned the ice to 13 million square kilometres, the same level it had been at a year earlier.
In western Greenland, the Danish Meteorological Institute recorded temperatures 30 degrees C below zero, while more ice was clogging the strait between Greenland and Canada than at any time for 15 years.
Snow falling in record amounts in winter, whatever next?. To happen once in a decade looks like an inconvenient truth. To happen twice suggests that the predictions made to support the bogus religion that is global warming by the "experts" are just plain bollocks. Here in Europe we ignore the facts, the record snowfalls, the plunging temperatures and still stuff the peasants with energy tariffs to fight global warming, we crucify heavy industry with additional costs to stop the planet getting warmer, our leaders follow this religion blindly.
Only one politician looks at the real data and is brave enough to call out global warming for the fraud that it is. That admirable and brave man is Donald Trump and the true fascists are those who try to close down debate on climate change by saying that it is a settled science when the hard data of what is falling from our skies suggests that this is simply not the case.

It is now quite clear that prices of houses in the better parts of London have fallen sharply and that the "Chelsea ripple" has already started to spread. Here in a less fashionable part of Bristol prices are off by 5-10%. The ripples are spreading. That is great news for young folks wanting to get onto the housing ladder. So what will Theresa May announce tomorrow? Madness. That is what.
Mrs May knows that young voters are overwhelmingly backing Jezza's Labour so is trying to bribe them back into the Tory fold. So she will spend an extra £10 billion to expand the Help to Buy scheme which she claims will make housing more affordable. But market forces are doing that already by sending prices down. The only effect of this wave of taxpayer cash will be to - temporarily - stop the fall in prices of cheaper housing. In other words it will, for a while, create no more affordability. But as prices of all other homes slide as as the £10 billion is spent Mrs May will look like Canute and the prices of starter homes and flats will fall anyway.
Those who took Mrs May's bribe and overpaid will be out of pocket. And the taxpayer will certainly be out pocket. The only winners will be fat cat bosses of housebuilders who will thank Mrs May for helping them clear surplus stock at inflated prices so making unexpected profits. This is a scandal in the making as I exposed last week HERE.
Meanwhile Mrs May is also proposing a series of handouts to students. The political class and academia have pretended that the vast expansion of the UK University system has been fully funded via student fees. That is of course a lie since most students will never pay back their loans. As a result we have created a long term liability (debt not repaid) created to allow academically weak young people to study pointless courses which leave them believing that they deserve good jobs but, in reality, qualified for almost nothing other than a life of bleating.
Now Mrs May wants to hand out more taxpayer cash to the poor students so adding to the nation's vast budget deficit and ballooning debt. In the end that fiscal horror show will blow up. I aim to be retired and fully funded by then so the higher taxes and slashing of public services that will result from folly of the type May proposes won't be my problem. It will be that of today's young voters.
That is the great irony of this madness. Those who will end up picking up the tab for it are those that Mrs May and Comrade Corbyn claim to be helping. But it is a generation who really do believe in the money tree with such a passion that they cannot see how they are being hoodwinked. Mrs May is spending other people's money in a way that this country can't afford but as she is in Government and is meant to be a Tory (i.e. fiscally prudent) there is some restraint on her silliness and folly. For Comrade Corbyn there are no limits and thus, if the useless Mrs May is entering a bribe a millennial contest with Jezza, she is bound to lose it. Her gambit will not work in terms of winning over young voters but in terms of weakening the UK's shaky finances while failing to improve the lot of young folks it scores a perfect ten.
Surely even a buffoon like Boris could not be this useless?

In today's Sunday Times there is a long piece about how Tory MPs are being pressurised by party members to ditch hapless Prime Minister Theresa May as soon as possible. But one quote stands out. It is from MP Heidi Allen and reminds me why I loathe the Tory establishment with such a passion. I may vote Tory but I know that most Tory MPs are just loathsome poltroons convinced of their own superiority to the rest of us. Heidi states:
“a leader and a party that will carry us through this most turbulent of periods but care about the little man . . . We have to change, and if we don’t we deserve to die."
The little man! The little man! For Fucks sake. By that you mean the chap who has four weeks holidays a year, works 40, 50 or 60 hours a week to pay taxes to fund bitches like you who earn thrice the average wage for working 30 weeks a year. Heidi, try to remember that the folks you refer to as a "little man" are your masters, you and your fellow MPs are meant to be our servants.
The truth is that Tory MPs - most of whom, like Heidi ,have safe jobs for life seats - think they are better than "the little man" but normally pretend otherwise. Just now and again the mask slips and their innate sense of superiority becomes apparent to all.
Fuck you Heidi you smug bitch. Bring on the revolution. Bring out the tumbrill. Fetch me my knitting needles.

For most of us the highlight of the BBC Question Time Leaders debate was seeing a sweating Jeremy Corbyn being laughed at for his dismal answers on nuclear weapons. Second best was yet another refusal to condemn folks he has previously described as "heroes," that is to say the murdering bastards of the IRA. But for the BBC the highlight was a Nurse bashing Theresa May for "cutting her take-home pay" since 2009. The BBC did not bother pointing out that the nurse was lying and Mrs May was too polite to point that out. But the Nurse did tell a 100% slam dunk lie.
Her claim of a cut - a line the Guardian likes to use as well - is based on the fact that Nurses have indeed have had below inflation wage increases since 2009. So in inflation adjusted terms their headline pay, ceteris paribus, is c14% lower. But their actual pay is higher. But the facts - if the BBC could be bothered with such matters - are even worse
You see the wicked Tories have penalised low paid workers because - when not eating babie - they spend all their time hating the poor, by massively increasing the amount that low paid workers earn without paying any tax - the tax allowance. What total bastards the Tories are. So a nurse earning £23,319 in 2016/17 will get "take-home pay" of £19,144.90. Let us assume that this nurse had enjoyed no pay increase at all since 2009 which is not the case, her take-home pay under those nice folks in Labour would have been £18,075.60.
And of course it gets worse. While all public sector workers bleat about low annual wage increases that is not the whole story. Across the public sector there is a culture of staff grading which means that each year - largely by dint of just being there for a number of years - a good number of staff move up a grade and get a pay rise. So while nurses will all get a 1% pay rise this year, a good number will actually get rather more.
And so that brings us back to the nurse on BBCQT who asserted that here "take-home pay" had fallen since 2009. There is only one way to describe that statement - as seen on numerous BBC reports of the highlights - it is a total fucking lie.

James Delingpole tweeted yesterday: Never thought I'd say this but Theresa May's Conservatives are so uninspiring it almost makes you yearn for the useless Dave. Rod Liddle asked "Is this the worst Tory Campaign ever?" I am not sure I know the answer Rod but as I go to vote in a seat the Tories should be gaining from Labour I do so almost not caring who wins.
The Tory manifesto was a disaster in that its dementia tax pissed off those Labour voters it was trying to woo while all its chatter of workers rights and laws to make business better really infuriated Tories like me. I bet those wonks & career politicians who cobbled this together have never risked a cent of their own capital to create a business. They just have no bloody idea of how hard and painful it is. Of how it is you who will be up until 3 AM to keep the thing afloat as your employees snore in bed.
The enlargement of the nanny state was at the heart of a Manifest presented by an array of folks who indeed made the loathsome Dave and ghastly Osborne look like political titans. Former stockmarket spiv Amber Rudd is just the most useless of an array of talentless bores but Hammond, Fallon even May herself are just dreary and intellectually weak - at heart they all want to manage the Growth of the state, not shrink it.
I think of those chaps I knew at Oxford now sitting on the Tory benches. They never had any ambition other than to climb the greasy pole. They despise ordinary people though they hide it well. Do I really enthuse about seeing them in power for another five years?
And yet I looked at my ballot paper below and there was really only one option. Last time Labour were 4,000 votes ahead of the Tories here in Bristol East but UKIP got 7,500 votes while the Lib Dems got sod all and the Greens did not stand. Our Labour MP, Kerry Mccarthy, is a cold and unloveable woman who happens to be as mad as a nest of snakes. If the UKIP vote shifts as it should and the Greens pinch more from Labour than from Cons - which they will - then the Tory candidate Theo Clarke will win. But she is a posh cow from London who pops in here only at election time - she would not actually want to live among the oiks in this part of Bristol. To be fair neither do any of the other candidates, Bristol East is far too down at heal.
But back to our Tory candidate, hapless Theo. She is a remoaner and she appears not to believe in any Tory values at all - like McCarthy she worships the Money Tree. So do I really care about Theo winning? I do not.
In fact, I note that all parties are run by career politicians, very few of whom have risked their capital to create wealth and jobs or indeed have any real world experience in the private sector at all. As a class I despise the lot of them. Moreover all are deficit deniers - the UK's Government finances are a mess, we are drowning in debt and yet all three parties still believe in spend, spend, spend. There is no honesty from anyone, no admission that things have to change if the UK is not going to go bust.
After Manchester they pretty much all spouted the same platitudes. The British people were dying for one party to say "if folks fight for ISIS or are shown to support ISIS they lose their passport and are booted out without a lengthy taxpayer funded trial encompassing reams of European Human Rights leglislation - just kick the bastards out." Instead all parties thought that quoting Liam Gallagher, not looking back in hanger and warning about a rise in hate crime was the answer. They can all go stock their candles and their twibbons up their arses, for all I care.
So at almost every level I really do not care who wins. Except one. It is clear that Jeremy Corbyn's Labour would really crush the economy and folks like me who risk our capital to create jobs and generate tax. It would be disastrous for the UK economy if Labour won. So much do I despise Mrs May's Tories that I almost don't care about this threat. If Labour win perhaps I can persuade the Mrs that it would be economic suicide for us not to move to a small Greek island to pay less tax? If a Corbyn and the utter destruction of the British economy is the price we must pay to persuade the Mrs to move maybe that is what must happen?
Or maybe not. The Mrs urges me to show my disgust by not voting. I did not vote for our new regional Mayor as I regarded this as another unneeded layer of Government funded by plebs taxpayers like me and created by a political class creating more jobs for themselves. So I had set a precedent of abstention a few weeks ago, the Mrs - a Guardian reading, Sociology lecturer who is a card carrying member of the Labour Party - thinks I should continue in that vein.
I imagined the look on her face if Labour wins. I thought how her colleagues, who bleat about workplace stress as they trouser £45k for doing four hours teaching a week when not on long vacations, will cheer a Labour win with bumper pay rises for public sector workers all round. I thought of how the Guardian, the BBC, Owen Jones, Polly Toynbee, Jon Snow and the C4 Team, my state employed sisters on their 18 hour and 20 hour working weeks would shout for joy if Kerry McCarthy wins Bristol East and if Corbyn heads to Number 10. If folks who are wrong about every issue are so enthusiastic for one side, I knew I had no choice in how I voted.
At almost every level I don't care who wins. As I think of Jezza walking into Number 10, I think of the sunlight dancing on a blue sea near a small house on a very small Greek island with the Mrs , Joshua and I just heading off for a day of fishing. I can hack it. But then I think of the legions of the wrong. These folks have backed every lost cause, every muddle headed idea of the past thirty years. And they are backing Labour with enthusiasm. My vote is below and was posted this week.

This is a human tragedy, it is a mass murder, the story is of shattered and broken lives. However there is still going to be a General Election on June 8 and it is a legitimate question: will this attack make an impact? The answer I suspect is that it will though folks may consider it tasteless to speculate about it, it cannot be ignored. Terror attacks are just not good news for Jeremy Corbyn.
A number of Labour campaigners including the son of Corbyn's campaign manager have gone online to suggest that the Tories either staged the attack or have upped the terror level to critical as part of an election game. Official Labour has distanced itself from such obvious nonsense but the general impression that some of those surrounding Corbyn are stupid, sinister or just plain nasty will not be diminished by this. I suspect this is of minor import but I note it anyway.
More important is that Theresa May and even the useless Amber Rudd were seen to be calm, determined and competent in their handling of the crisis. They did the right things. They did them without show or as if they were seeking credit and they appeared competent. I like neither woman but they came out of this with credit. As they consider whom they back on June 8th many voters will remember that and will ask themselves how Comrade Corbyn and Diane Abbott (Rudd's shadow) would have coped. There can be few who think they would have done better and many of us would assume that Corbybn and the clownish oaf Abbott may well have bollocksed it all up in some way.
Finally there is simply the question of our attitude to terror. This was not the first time Manchester has been attacked by the men of violence. Last time it was the IRA and the quotes showing that Corbyn, Abbott and shadow chancellor Semtex John McDonnell refusing to back such terror and on occasion condoning it, are legion. Corbyn is on record as saying IRA fighters were heroes. So if Irishmen who blew up innocent civilians in Manchester are the good guys, his condemnation of ISIS bombers doing the same thing just rings a touch hollow. It does nit help that Corbyn has stood shoulder to shoulder with other Islamofacist groups such as Hamas.
Every time the subject of terrorism comes up between now and June 8 folks will be reminded of those pictures of Jezza standing arm in arm with a grinning Gerry Adams or with the late Butcher of Londonderry, Martin McGuinness. They are men with blood on their hands and Corbyn stood arm in arm with them.. This link will cost Labour votes.
Until the bomb the Tories were slipping in the polls because of the badly handled Dementia tax proposals. Folks were starting to buy into Labour's Money Tree non-solution to a problem that needs fixing. May had done a U Turn. But that is all ancient history now. That narrative is over. Instead it is steely Theresa who has always stood firm against evil terrorists and Jezza who er...has not.
I doubt anyone has done anything as tasteless as commission a field poll yet but they will soon and I suspect that the Tories will have bounced by 2 or 3 points while the party lead by an IRA supporter will have slipped by a similar amount.

The antics of Mrs Theresa May and dimwit Amber Rudd at the Tory party conference have won political acclaim but as a social and economic liberal I am appalled by a party boasting of its social intolerance while seeking to crush a free market economy - the economic shift to the left is awful. And as for the metropolitan elite who run the Tories reaching out...I just do not believe it. I am left nauseated by some of it and repelled by most of the rest. If this is the best on offer, and sadly it probably is, it is time to emigrate.

Last week the Americans held a press conference in Turkey in which the USA warned the brave Kurds (its ally) to stop besieging an ISIS held town of Jarablus and to allow the tanks of the fascist President Erdogan to cross the border to take control. That was bad enough but what followed has been far worse and our media, notably the BBC, has done nothing in the face of Orwellian lies and betrayal.
The brave Kurds let the Turks take control. The Turks then promptly handed the town to Islamofacist elements of the "Free Syrian Army" who last cropped up on our radar a few weeks ago when beheading a 12 year old boy in the back of a pick up truck for, allegedly, supporting President Assad. Hmmmmm, what nice Al-Qaeda backing Islamofacist pals we all have these days.
The Kurds meanwhile withdrew as ordered leaving the town - which contains a sizeable - and now at risk - Kurdish population in the hands of some very unpleasant people. So what happened next? Naturally, Turkish planes and tanks moved out of the town to attack villages inhabited by and held by the Kurds ( our allies). Within a couple of days 35 Kurds, both soldiers and civilians, had been killed. And the response of President Obama's America, supported by our own Government? A request that BOTH sides uphold a ceasefire?
Hell's teeth, the Kurds are being attacked in their own villages by Turkey which, in attacking civilians is almost certainly committing war crimes, and yet the Kurds are being ordered to observe a ceasefire by the West. That is almost Orwellian. The BBC reported this matter of fact request by the West without, for a second, questioning what was actually going on.
Until last week the only contribution Turkey had made to the war in Syria was in buying oil from ISIS and allowing supplies to get through to both ISIS but, to a far greater extent, to the Al-Qaeda dominated Free Syrian Army. Occasionally it had bombed Kurdish villages just for fun. But now with the explicit sanction of the West it is going further in its war against the Kurds.
Turkey & the monster Erdogan are part of the regional problem not the solution. The sooner the West realises that and stops giving it carte blanche for ethnic cleansing the better. As things stand the West has betrayed a loyal ally, the one grouping in Syria that is decent, democratic and tolerant. President Obama, John Kerry, Theresa May and Brois Johnson all now have the blood of innocent Kurds on their hands. Our country, "Great" Britain stands shamed.

Our glorious unelected leader Theresa May has today urged folks to "staycation" in Britain to help the economy. What a towering patriot she is. Has she said how she will shower all the Brit-astic members of Team GB with honours to thank them for putting the Great back into Britain? Rule Britannia. Let's ignore how debased those honours are by the stench of years of corruption. Let's all back our country. Play some Elgar.
After all: Theresa did say how we were all in it together and how her brand of conservatism would reach out to thsoe who feel left out and so loathe a rich, out of touch hypocritical elite. So which part of ever more Great Britain did Theresa go to on holiday this year?
Er ....Switzerland. Right. Whatever.
Mrs May is launching a scheme where another £40 million of taxpayers' hard earned cash is spunked on telling us all about what a lovely country the UK is so that we should all go there on holiday. This is because she is a patriotic lover of Great Britain. Has she told you yet about all those CBEs she will be dishing out to anyone remotely liked to Team GB in Rio? But while we sans culottes should eat our cake at home, for Mrs May herself it was Swiss Roll all round during a two week Alpine walking holiday.
Folks are staying in Britain because a sinking pound makes them feel they cannot afford to go abroad. They do so because they feel poor. Only an elitist bitch like Theresa May (or to be fair Dodgy Dave) who is so out of touch that she fails to grasp this truism, would think that spending more money taken via taxes from folks who already feel poorer, to persuade them to do something they are having to do anyway, makes any sense at all.
Theresa I am delighted at how you are reaching out to me you patronising and hypocritical old bag. Keep up the good work. We are all in it together.

There is now clear evidence that British special forces are on the ground in Syria assisting Free Syrian Army (FSA) jihadists. The BBC spins a Government lie and reports this as being in a fight against ISIS.. But the FSA is, of course, also fighting President Assad''s Government and its Russian and Syrian allies. This is madness.
The folks we are assisting are not nice people. many support Al-Qaeda. They engage in beheadings, executions, chucking people off tall buildings and a range of war crimes and crimes against humanity. They are violently intolerant of minorities such as Christians. Who are we to play God and say that they are better folks than Assad.
It is Assad and his allies who making the real headway against ISIS. By supporting the FSA who spend far more effort attacking Assad than attacking ISIS we indirectly assist ISIS. And one day a British boot on the ground will, almost certainly, come into direct contact with Russian personnel. Have we really thought this through?
Parliament has not approved this intervention. We have no right to play God. The results of this intervention damage the fight against ISIS, It is madness at every level. Theresa May may applaud this and may have support from overseas from people such as President Obama and Hillary Clinton. Liberals always think meddling in other folks affairs makes things better. It never does.
This is an action which is not in my name. It is sheer folly.

I rather guessed that the Russell Square murderer was not going to be Jewish or an Armish farmer. The Police knew his name from the same time that they knew he may have had mental health issues but released only the latter fact as I noted HERE.
Now almost 12 hours after we were told that the 19 year old assailant had mental health issues we are told he is a Norwegian. Think Breivik the crazed right wing extremist, think blond vikings, think sexy blond nurses, think the pop group Aha. No..think again he is a Somalian born Norwegian and yes, he does indeed follow the religion of peace.
Only slowly have the politically correct rozzers had the truth dragged out of them and even now the liberal media are hitting certain words hard: Mental health. Norwegian. Loner.
But the general population is starting to smell a rat here. How come Jewish folk, Sikhs, Hindus or even Christians with mental health issues have not gone on the rampage undertaking multi person attacks across Europe this year. How come only Muslims seem to react to mental health issues in this way? Well it is not because these folk are Muslim that they act in this way, being both mad and bad. But they are all Moslems.
Two weeks ago I was challenging the BBC and the other liberal media great and the good to stop regarding the statement below as a fact not a racist remark. Still they ignore this truism.
"Nearly all Moslems abhor acts of terror in Europe today. But nearly all acts of terror in Europe today are carried out by Moslems"
In the real world folks are openly mocking the idea that we can ignore the common thread of the summer of hate in Europe and the US. The common thread is not mental health issues as the Rozzers, the media and the political elite keep telling us. It is that the killers are Moslems. When the elite start to accept that fact and state that fact publicly, we the great unwashed will start to view them with less open contempt. Pro tem the elite remain in denial.
Now then Theresa May repeat after me..
"This is not about mental illness..Nearly all Moslems abhor acts of terror in Europe today. Moslems are affected by mental illness in the same way as those of other faiths. We are all human beings together. However nearly all acts of terror in Europe today are carried out by Moslems."
Come on Mrs May that remark is not racist it is just a bloody fact and why can't you and your patronising colleagues, who always know better than we the people, just accept that?

The papers this week carried graphic images of a 12 year old boy being beheaded in Syria. Ghastly, I hear you cry. ISIS must be stopped. Thank God we are doing our bit by backing rebel fighters in the Free Syrian Army. Problemo: it was those rebel fighters that did the beheading.
This is no surprise to readers of this website. Back in 2012 HERE, 2013 HERE and 2014 HERE I pointed out the monstrous war crimes being committed by FSA soldiers, including throwing folks off tall buildings merely because they worked for the state...as postmen. Given the affiliation of many, but not all, FSA forces to Al-Qaeda, those chappies who carried out 9/11, their barbarity is no great shock, to me at least..
Our allies Turkey, led by the loathsome fascist Erdogan, and Saudi Arabia, a kleptocracy engaged in wholesale war crimes using British arms in the Yemen, backed the FSA against President Assad and we followed their line.
President Assad is clearly no angel but in pre war times his tolerance of Christians, relatively low level of state sponsored execution and progressive attitude to women made him one of the least bad regimes in the Middle East. Yet to appease the Saudis, arguably one of the more barbaric, we, in the West, demonised Assad. Our newspapers spun hard, the media and political classes working hand in hand to persuade we the plebs that Assad was the devil incarnate, guilty of every atrocity under the sun. Heck, if he had had the WMD that Saddam had the last time the political class and its pals in the mainstream media misled us, over Iraq, Assad would not have waited 45 minutes to use them against Britain, he was such a monster.
President Putin, rightly, recognised that of the three forces fighting in Syria, Assad was the least bad option, the other two being the Al-Qaeda dominated FSA and ISIS. W e in the West backed the wrong non ISIS option. In working with the Turks - who bomb the Kurds who are an effective anti ISIS force - our meddling has actually assisted ISIS. In forcing Assad to fight on two fronts (the FSA Islamofascists and ISIS) rather than just against ISIS, we have also assisted ISIS. Our actions have prolonged the war because quite simply we have backed the wrong side.
In an ideal world folks like crooked Hillary Clinton, David Cameron, Francois Hollande would not act as recruiting sergeants for radical Islam by intervening in the Middle East at all. But if they are going to meddle, backing the wrong side has only prolonged the reign of ISIS and thus strengthened its ability to strike back at us in the West.
The actions of our leaders have made ordinary folks in the West who don't enjoy the expensive security of our leaders, not safer, as we were told, but far less safe. Hollande, Merkel, Cameron and now May have blood on their hands, not just Syrian blood but the blood of their own innocent citizens as well.
Outrages such as those in Paris, Nice and, now, Munich were made all the more likely by the folly of our leaders.
When will they admit that they just got it wrong and just leave Syria to President Putin who is backing the right side?

The issue of Britain's nuclear deterrent is a one that shows our political class at their most base and deceitful. For once, Comrade Corbyn is bang on the money in his opposition and, in what is becoming par for the course, Theresa May seems just incapable of telling the truth.
Back in the 1980s there was a compelling case for the UK hosting US nukes and having our own missile system.Under the leadership of Thatcher and Reagan we squared up to the Russians and brought an end to communist rule, to the Evil Empire that dominated Europe then, we brought down the Berlin Wall. In the 1980s and before, comrade Corbyn was like many others wrong on the issue of nuclear weapons.
But times have changed. For starters Britain is still running a massive Budget deficit and our national debt is heading towards levels that are unsustainable. Merely buying new submarines for Trident will cost £30 billion over 20 years. But the total cost of upgrading and then maintaining an independent nuclear arsenal will be around £205 billion over 40 years. That money could be far better spent elsewhere or just not spent at all if we actually want to eliminate the deficit and not go bust. Corbyn is right on that, many of his fellow Labour MPs and Prime Minister Theresa May are just in denial about the cost implications. I am not a deficit denier, I accept we cannot afford to maintain Trident.
But this issue is also about willie waving, that would be willies draped in the Union Flag. For folks like May who is willie waving more than most today, it is a chance to suggest that Corbyn and others are somehow not patriotic or do not care about protecting our nation. May wants a big stick and wants you to know that only she, not the bearded loon, can protect you May has noted:
"We cannot compromise on our national security. We cannot outsource the grave responsibility we shoulder for keeping our people safe. The nuclear threat has not gone away, if anything, it has increased".
Mrs May neglects to tell us how the threat has increased and how having Trident will make us safer. So let's look at the options.
Russia. It is not conceivable that in the, incredibly unlikely, event that Russia threatened Britain that we would use our nukes without US sanction and that effectively means a world war. If we don't really have an independent deterrent in that scenario why pay for one? What is the point? We might as well rely on the yanks and if they are late for the 3rd World War as they were for the last two we might have to learn to speak Russian for a while. But in reality, President Putin is far less likely to attack the West than was Russia in the cold war era. It is just not going to happen.
Rogue states/ISIS are far more likely to launch a nuclear attack on the UK than the Russians and could do so without missile technology using a dirty bomb. Who would we nuke in response? Which land area? Do you think that the insane folks who run North Korea, Iran or ISIS would in any way be deterred by the threat of such retaliation. For some, notably ISIS, the idea that we might launch a missile on the civilians in Raqqa so pitting the whole Muslim world against Britain would actually be an incentive to act.
Mrs May might just be correct in saying that the nuclear threat to Britain has increased since the Cold War but the idea that an upgraded Trident makes us safer against what is a new kind of threat is patently ludicrous.
Trident will not make us safer and we cannot afford it. Having been wrong on nukes for most of his life, Comrade Corbyn finds himself actually getting it right for once. For that he will be portrayed by the media and political elite as cowardly, unpatriotic and reckless and the forces of Mrs May will win the commons vote.
As the UK drowns in a sea of debt over the next two decades, having weapons that we could not conceivably use and which make no-one in this land any safer, will perhaps be a consolation to those who today ridicule the Labour leader only to repent in poverty in the years that follow.

There is much commentary in the USA about the revulsion that so many folks feel for the three intertwined pillars of the status quo of the establishment: the political class, the big businessmen who fund/buy that class and the media pundits who take the political/business spin without question. I would perhaps add a fourth pillar, the banksters, but perhaps they are rolled into business fat cats. The massive distrust and resentment of these people seems to be evident across the West. That Americans may well vote for Donald Trump who is, shall we say, not exactly the new Abraham Lincoln, is a sign of this, Brexit was another as is the rise of the frightful Marine Le Pen in France.
And so we come to the coronation of Theresa May as Britain's new Prime Minister. And it was a coronation. There was not vote of party members she was picked as a result of Tory MPs voting. One might accept that she was the only sane choice as the other candidates were tainted by the stench of treachery (Gove), hypocrisy and jiggy wiggy issues (Crabb), plain stupidity and honesty issues (Loathsome) or just being seen as a perennial no hoper (Fox). But none the less her appointment is not a great day for democracy. It will be seen as another Westminster stitch up. And it was.
The media reported on high drama. with the selection of another Oxbridge financier as our new PM and then of a cabinet reshuffle with one public school educated Oxbridge person with zero real life experience swapping jobs with another from the same background. With one or two exceptions to this ( David Davis) nothing really changed. May's silly words about a new direction were either non-sensical or just plain old clap trap. But the media pundits loved it and spun it as a move this way or that.
This weekend in the more fashionable parts of London those same media pundits, the spinners and the political classes and their bankster pals will mingle at parties and will still be chatting about nothing other than the Westminster drama before returning to their seven figure valued residences. As they contemplate their secure six figure salaries they look forward to the Bank of England cutting rates again to keep the asset bubble going. Perhaps Theresa May really does think that a housing and bond/stockmarket bubble is the same as real Wealth creation and that somehow her magic wand can make the bubble be shared out in a way that helps those on the other side of the tracks, folks in the North or who don't own such assets? If she does she is kidding herself. The country is not fooled.
For all the media spin about how post Brexit this country has become racist hotbed where EU citizens are terrified to stay, the reality is that migrants continue to come to the UK every day notwithstanding all those vain pledges by the last Home Secretary, Mrs T May, to curtail the flow. It is hard to see her replacement, the posh dimwitted and poisonous Amber Rudd, promoted as a triumph of gender over inability, making the situation any better.
The pissed off folks of Britain who mistrust every word that class status quo says; who experience some of the downside issues of immigration such as wage pressure and reduced access to healthcare provision but none of the many upsides and, above all, who have not shared in the asset bubble view life in the Westminster bubble rather differently.
Outside the world of the status quo there may be some who will give Mrs May a chance, who buy into the media spin for now. But their patience will not take long to snap. Most of those who were angry on June 23rd are still angry and with good reason. They see that nothing has changed and nothing will.
The "insurgency" of those left out from the good times is a global phenomenon. Nothing has changed in the past week to suggest the UK has done anything to address this. When Laura Kuenssberg and her BBC colleagues talk of a divided nation their analysis is a simplistic one based on rich versus poor which does not look factor in asset bubbles, old fashioned left vs right as if those terms mean anything. The trouble is that the media pundits and mainstream outlets are in fact part of that divide, they sit firmly on one side of the barricades staring out at an angry mob they despise and fail to understand.

Having trotted out a load of left wing tosh about how she planed to trainwreck the private sector in order to bring the nation together, Theresa May has today moved forward with her project to rebrand conservatism. No longer will it be the Nasty Party. It is now just an increasingly "silly party"
She has not actually announced who will be in her cabinet of all the talentless but has let the papers know. Aaah the joys of spin. The Politicians tell their media mates in the Westminster bubble what they will do and in return the fourth estates trumpets every non event as a triumph. Even the Guardian was lapping up today's horeshit as it was so utterly liberal - affirmative action quotas in Government for both women and for the terribly stupid. Which is especially good news for Amber Rudd as she is a leading light in both oppressed minorities.
We the plebs are expected to lap it up and to care.
In the good old days the Tory Party believed in meritocracy but that idea now just seems so terribly 20th century. New PM Theresa May has let it be known that her prime goal in shaping the cabinet is to have more women to "address the gender imbalance". And this is meant to be a politician who wants to reconnect with a pissed off great unwashed?
Out here in the real world we care not whether a cabinet minister is a woman or a man, whether they have had children or not and whether they are gay or straight. We do not want targets based on who you shag or what, if anything, results from that shagging. Would it be too much to ask just to have a cabinet with the most talented people in it?
Instead we are told that George Osborne might lose out on being offered a top job because Mrs May wants more women in senior roles. Bollocks! The clot should be sacked for years of incompetence and his dreadful lies and threats in the referendum not for being a man. Talking of which, the incredibly dim Amber Rudd who behaved so badly in the campaign and has truly alienated we Brexit voters with her personal smears may be made Chancellor. Whatever. Never before has there been a more
classic demonstration of the downside of affirmative action.
If Mrs May thinks that appointing a thick, former bankster, member of the elite like Rudd who insulted so many Brexit voters just weeks ago to the top job in cabinet is really going to reach out to a wider audience she is gravely mistaken.
The first 48 hours of the May show, have demonstrated that she is even more of an heir to Blair than her predecessor. Will we ever again have a real Tory in Downing Street?
Right now the closest we have got is Larry the Cat.

Jeepers this is confusing: listening and watching Theresa May yesterday I was told that she has just become leader of the Conservative Party and will be our next Tory Prime Minister. So why was she sounding like a socialist but also a peddler of bogus religion? If this is the best the Tories can offer then, to quote a real Tory Margaret Thatcher, There IS No Alternative. TINA says it is time to quit and emigrate.
It is not that Mrs May is already speaking weasel words on Brexit. She states Brexit means Brexit but then waffles on about how we may have to accept certain things to get free trade. Mrs May we voted for full on Brexit, not Brexit light.
It was not the quasi evangelical clap trap about how "we will bring this country together": Rich and Poor, North & South, Men & Women, Black & White, Welshman & Sheep, etc, etc etc. Well thank you very much Mrs Oxbridge Educated May with your millionaire husband. Men and women are not divided and the other divides you mention are largely creations of the media bubble.
The real gap in this country is between the establishment, those in the political, media and big business elite with their pals the banksters and the rest of us. That is a gap Theresa cannot mention explicitly as she and her fellow Tory MPs are almost entirely on one side of that divide. At least Andrea Loathsome made a pretence of recognising this division.
Of course there is a comfortable middle class, mostly on a bloated state payroll. The value of their houses has gone up so they don't care but the rest of us are screwed. In yesterday's woeful analysis, May talked about how going forward she wanted to see increasing wealth and prosperity more equally divided. But she thinks mistakenly that there has been an increase in wealth since 2008. There has been an asset bubble which has benefitted the rich establishment big time and the middle class to a lesser extent but has left out vast swathes of society. And while public sector professionals have got decent pay rises - or bumper rewards for the greedy junior doctors - the working classes and lower classes have been screwed as there has not been any real wealth created by the private sector and what wealth has been created has not trickled down. May seems incapable of distinguishing between real wealth creation ( businesses making profits, hiring more, paying more out of profits not from borrowings) and asset bubbles.
And her solution? A new Government Industrial policy. In the old days Conservatives believed that the private sector created jobs and wealth but Theresa May seems to think the Government needs to meddle so we will now have workers on boards, restrictions on CEO pay, etc. It sounds just like Hollande's France and look how well that is working out for the Froggies.
Mrs May, here is a real Conservative:
Of course the loathsome bunch of overpaid parasites that are the Conservative Parliamentary Party lapped it up. Very few of them actually have real world experience and none of them live outside that bubble of the Westminster establishment. They all own property, assisted by taxpayer subsidy, so the asset bubble has been good news for them.
Mrs May's analysis was woeful and she offers no hope for Britain just platitudes. Its David Cameron with a skirt on. On the basis of yesterday's claptrap, the anger towards the establishment and figures such as Theresa May felt my large swathes of Britain who feel left out and cheated will only continue to grow.

Andrea Leadsom was not my favoured candidate to be PM for a variety of reasons. In short she was a liar and socially illiberal and so I wanted her to lose even though Theresa May is, herself, a ghastly piece of work. I guess she now walks into Downing Street. Leadsom has, this morning, after apologising for making vile remarks that 48 hours ago she was smearing jounalists by claiming she had not made, pulled out of the race, May is crowned not elected.
The problem is that for many of us she is just another career politician who went to Oxbridge and has bugger all real life experience. She promised tough action on immigration - in a rather nasty fashion - but delivered only inaction. And she was on the wrong side in the EU Referendum. She wanted to stay.
Tory MPs are today saying what a jolly good woman Mrs May is and how their party is united as opposed to Labour which is not. That may be the case. But for many folks this is just the establishment rallying around each other. I did not like Leadsom but wished that an insurgency within the Tories had challenged that establishment. It is as if the Country Club Republicans who were so out of touch with the party base had managed to get Trump to withdraw and allowed little Marco Rubio to win unchallenged.
The Coronation of Remain supporting Mrs May will do nothing to arrest the long term decline in Tory membership or to reach out to a vast audience of "Thatcher Tories" or indeed Labour heartland Brexiteers who now find themselves without a voice.
The trouble is that no one really wants to speak for those people, bar UKIP. The establishment can celebrate with a kiss and make up session at Tory HQ and champers all round. The rest of us could not give a damn. We get on with our lives and think "fuck the lot of you." Are we so really sure that our Glorious Revolution rather than the French Revolution is the model for Britain as it seeks as way forward?

I picked up yesterday on the fact that Andrea Leadsom views gay folks as different to straight folks in terms of their rights to suffer the miserty of marriage. So she is a social conservative which will chime with many Tory party members and I've no problem with her coming out in this respect. These days, some leading Tory seems to come out as something or other about once a week. What is nauseating about Leadsom is that she lies about this issue. She says she believes in equality and then smailes inanely. Yet her stated views make it clear that she does not believe in equality. In the world of Leadsom it is one rule for the shirt lifters and one rule for the rest of us. Time to smile inanely again Andrea.
My biggest problem with Leadsom is thus not that she is a bigot, although she is, but that she cannot tell the truth about her bigotry on the issue of the pooftahs. And in seeking to hide that she digs herself deeper and deeper into whichever hole she has stumbled.
And thus we now know that her CV about her banking career was quite simply not true. She exaggerated her claims about what she did. Yet in an infamous interview wih the Times yesterday we read:
After explaining that, as a former banker, she understands “how the economy works and can really focus on turning it around” — unlike, by implication, the home secretary.
Andrea Leadsom managed the recruitment of teams of banksters. She was a manager of people. Theresa May manages a far bigger team at the Home Office. Neither means that they understand finance so well they can turn round the economy. Leadsom was a banker in the same way that May is a Policewoman.
What arrogance of Leadsom to claim that she can turn round the economy, especially when her CV (truthful version) shows no reason to back up the claim of specialist knowledge. And anyhow did not the banksters sort of help to get us into the mess of 2008 in the first place?
Leadsom goes on: back to The Times:
— she stresses that she is a “member of a huge family and that’s important to me. My kids are a huge part of my life, my sisters and my two half brothers are very close so I am very grounded and normal.” Mrs May, of course, has spoken of her heartbreak at realising that she could not have children.
In case the contrast is not clear enough, Mrs Leadsom goes on: “I am sure Theresa will be really sad she doesn’t have children so I don’t want this to be ‘Andrea has children, Theresa hasn’t’ because I think that would be really horrible, but genuinely I feel that being a mum means you have a very real stake in the future of our country, a tangible stake. She possibly has nieces, nephews, lots of people, but I have children who are going to have children who will directly be a part of what happens next.” There is also an empathy that comes from motherhood, she suggests, “when you are thinking about the issues that other people have: you worry about your kids’ exam results, what direction their careers are taking, what we are going to eat on Sunday”.
This is loathsome. It is vile. It is beneath contempt. There is no evidence for Mrs Leadsom's claims. Lady Thatcher had (awful) kids and was a brilliant PM. Mrs Gandhi also had kids and was a total disaster for India in every way. There is no data set to support the Leadsom claims it is just horrible comment from a horrible woman who wishes to rebrand the Tories as the "nasty party" once again.
Leadsom has now taken to twitter saying she was misquoted. But, sadly for her, the transcript of the interview has emerged and she was not misquoted at all. Accusing respected journalists of making up quotes just marks Leadsom out as the sort of silly bint who would sex up her CV. Leadsom is not fit for high office or indeed to be an MP at all.
Again my over-riding problem with Leadsom is not that she is a nasty person ( though she is) but that she is not telling the truth. Again.
About the only thing that can be said for Leadsom is the arrogance and patronising piffle written about her by the lefty, "Remainer" liberal media elite. If folks like Simon Scharma loathe her maybe she is not so bad after all? Scharma's patronising comment of yesterday is below:
Isnt the real point that if she really cared abt her kids or anyone else's future Leadsom wouldnt have switched from proEU to Leave
That tweet was "liked" by hundreds of latte sipping London members of the comfortable affluent in crowd. They like patronising we thicko Brexiteers.
Gosh it is a tough contest to take sides on. Reading folks like Scharma, the Guardian Editorial Team and the most ghastly Tory in Britain, Amber Rudd MP tell us that it has to be May I think back about how the insurgents, including Leadson, won the vote on June 23rd. And May was on the other side with the establishment with folks like Scharma, ghastly Rudd, her brother Roland Rat and Polly Toynbee. The supporters of May drive me into the arms of Leadsom.
But on the other hand could I trust a woman who is happy to be so nasty, whose views on issues that I care about mark her out as a bigot and who above all - just seems, even by the standards of politicians, to have a real problem with just not telling the truth? The biggest reason to vote May, and it is becoming almost a compelling reason, is, quite simply, that the only alternative is Andrea Leadsom.

The Sad Truth: Theresa May is bad, but the others are worse is the headline in the main opinion article in yesterday's Guardian. Author Rafael Behr urges Tory members to vote for May. His qualification for offering such advice is that he is a screaming lefty. A cat offers mice advice on personal safety. Behr is a star of the Guradin in that he is not only wrong on most issues, deriving his conclusions from prejudice as opposed to fact, but he is also a pretentious twat to boot. Thus he starts his piece on why Tories should vote for May on Europe, a subject where May disagrees with the vast majority of Tory party members and voters and 52% of the wider electorate
"Imagine Britain's membership of the European Union as a cat. The cat is seated in a box with an unstable radioactive element, "article 50". At some point the toxicity of A50 will kill the cat - an outcome that is confirmed by opening the box. But as long as the box is sealed, moggy is simultaneously dead and alive. This state is known as Schrodinger's EU membership after the Austrian physicist who desscribed something similar in 1935 to elucidate the mysteries of quantum mechanics".
At this point we are expected to say that Rafael is fecking brainy to know all about Schrodinger and his cat. You know Guardian writers are all fecking genii. After all not only did most of them go to posh public schools and Oxbridge but they all voted for Remain and as we know Remainers were clever while those of us who voted for Brexit were just thick and often racist as well. And so as night follows day, Article 50, the way the UK leaves the EU is seen as toxic and something that will kill Britain. That in Guardian la la land is just a given.
Back in the real world we see that, amid a new banking crisis in Italy, Europe's largest bank (Deutsche from Germany) is also teetering today. Economic growth in the Eurozone has been negative to negligible for months before Brexit was an issue. It is an ageing economic zombie, run by a corrupt political, media and business class which is loathed by ordinary folks across Europe. We, the plebs, are tired of a project which empowers and enriches the elite - including our posh well paid lefty comrades at the Guardian - but sees ordinary folks gain little or, in places such as Greece, Portugal and Spain, get utterly screwed.
And so back to the cat. Surely A50 is they key to a box which has itself become contaminated by radioactive and toxic elements. The cat has just taken a decision of its own free will and has used the key to do as it wishes and escape. How it fares on the oustide is not that it will be certain to be dead as Behr states. There are no facts and certainties here. The cat may thrive outside the box or it may not thrive, there is no certainty about what will happen to Britain outside the EU, only opinions. I concede my opinion may be wrong. Behr cannot see that possibility.
I would suggest that Tory voters who find themselves reading the dreadful Guardian should ignore advice from this loathsome rag and from Mr Behr on how to vote as he really does not have your best interests at heart. Moreover his dismal Schrodinger analogy showns him to be a pretentious fool. No wonder he has done so well at the Guardian.

Though not a great fan of the spectacularly unsuccessful Home Secretary Mrs Theresa May, anyone who is attacked by the loathsome child of privilege the Guardian columnist Polly Toynbee, cannot be all bad. And thus in her column today La Toynbee starts with the words "If Theresa May is the answer, what is the Question?" Perhaps you would care to answer that one.
How about: "who is Home Secretary of the party that won the last election as opposed to the one Polly Toynbee told folks to vote for?"
Or "can you name someone who does not tell the workers that they are ignorant racists while writing from her castle in Tuscany?"
Or "can you name someone whose views on immigration, Europe, Welfare Reform and Patriotism are not utterly alien to hose of core working class Labour voters in the way that those of Polly Toynbee are?"
Or " can you name a woman who has had a successful career without trading off a well known family name and growing up in wealthy North London?"
Over to you readers...

Britain in 2016 feels ever more like 1792 France. Cherie Blair or Theresa May will soon be saying that we the great unwashed should not worry "let them eat cake" and hundreds of celebrities will put their names to a petition saying what a good idea that is.
It is one rule for the establishment and one for the rest of us. Day after day we are reminded that the millionaire political, business, celebrity and media elite can get away with murder, literally in the case of Tony Blair, while the rest of us just get screwed. No wonder Britain is so angry.
The 40,000 silly people at yesterday's MarchforEurope do not represent that anger. Overwhelmingly middle class Southerners they, or their parents at the bank of Mum & Dad, have done very well as property owners enjoying the post 2008 asset bubble created by QE and funny money interest rates. For those in the Midlands and North where property prices in the post industrial towns have not rocketed, where there have been no real wage rises - unless you are a middle class employee of the State - there has been no financial windfall since 2008. They are excluded. Shafted financially and with no-one speaking up for them. Indeed for ten days now they have been told by large sections of the media and by the middle class liberal establishment that they are ignorant and racist and that their views should somehow be ignored.
And now we discover that when the Chilcot Report in finally published this week, it may slate Tony Blair and Jack Straw for lying and starting an illegal war but they will suffer no consequences. You and I might think that lying to Parliament and to the Country to start an illegal war is a war crime. The establishment may have blood on its hands but Blair & Straw will not be prosecuted for anything.
On the other hand British troops who served in Iraq are still being prosecuted for war crimes. It is really very hard for us sitting in comfortable Britain, safe and sound, to know what happens in the heat of the action fighting a terrorist insurgency and seeing your mates heading home in body bags or missing arms and legs. Some of those squaddies who have faced trial seem to be very marginal cases.
If British soldiers have committed war crimes then they must be prosecuted as we need to show the Muslim world that we are better people than ISIS and operate to a higher moral standard. But that also means we have to prosecute Blair and Straw if they lied to start an illegal war as that too is a war crime. And it is a much more serious one.
The squaddies who were sent to Iraq and who come home in body bags, missing limbs, traumatised or, in a few cases, to face trial are overwhelmingly from working class backgrounds. They did not get the opportunity or breaks that the campus warriors, the middle class kids on MarchforEurope did, they did not get to spend three years studying for a useless degree with a loan they may or may not pay back. They found one way to better their lives and that was to serve Queen and Country, the sort of ambition the middle class kids on the march yesterday would regard as so old fashioned and despicable, happy to deride it as bordering on xenophobia.
In the West it's the grunts who suffer in modern warfare, the children of the under-privileged not the establishment and the comfortable middle classes. And we see once again how they will be screwed while the establishment, in the former of Blair and Straw, gets away with murder.
40,000 fools marching in London yesterday might not understand the iniquity of this. They are, after all on the same side as Goldman Sachs and Big Business in their desire to overturn democracy. But this appalling double standard on Iraq is just another reason why so many in this country are so angry and why that anger is not going to go away.

It does not matter who gets to lead the Tory party. Hitman Boris Johnson may be out of the race but his pal Michael Gove is in and it looks as if it is neck and neck between the Gover or Euro traitor and Sharia law in Britain supporter Theresa May. Theresa, don't have my arm chopped off for saying this but here's hoping it is Gove. But it does not matter. Seriously the Tories could pick Roy Hodgson as their leader or even bring back Dodgy Dave and they would still win the next election
We loyalists who joined the People's Party last summer to help get Comrade Corbyn elected have done a sterlintg job as it appears that within a year of us manning the barricades in fraternal solidarity with our comrade workers, the Labour party may either split in two or plausibly oust comrade Corbyn and engage in fratricide. It is all a very entertaining summer panto.
Earlier today I noted how Comrade Corbyn's Jew baiting meant he had to go but who to replace him as the leader of the National Socialist & Workers Party.
Over the weekend I pointed out that Angela Eagle's performance in the referendm was so dire that she made Corbyn look like Churchill. True to form, for a party with a death wish, Ms Eagle is now being touted as the candidate to bring the party together. Game on.
If there is one person more certain to ensure Labour's electoral oblivion than the beareded old commie, it is the sour faced, humourless, half witted Ms Eagle who on every issue under the sun is even more out of touch with the Labour core vote than Comrade Jezza.
And thus, I am sorry to say dear Leader Comrade Jeremy, that I must withdraw my support for you. It is not the Jew baiting that was the final straw although that was awful, it is just the realisation that in Comrade Eagle we have someone even better than you to lead the People's Party over an electoral cliff.
Comrade Eagle I am now your loyal supporter and await orders.

A lot of Tory MP's do not like or are jealous of Boris Johnson and are said to be plotting to do anything they can to stop him being their next leader. The trouble is that he is by far and away the most popular Tory in both the wider party and also the country. He is box office. Being a Brexiteer means that he was on the side of the 52% but also of the vast majority of Tory members. So if among MPs he is in the top two in the initial poll, then Tory members are bound to vote for him.
That is not only because Boris has sex appeal but because there is no other credible candidate which almost guarantees him a top two slot. Theresa May has no personality and backed Remain - the losing side - and did so in a cowardly fashion yet she is seen as the leading challenger to Boris. George Osborne still thinks he may have a chance but after his car-crash Referendum no-one else does. The ludicrous Amber Rudd is getting her PR brother Roland Rat to spin that her star is rising but her campaign was the ultimate train wreck and she is a total disaster. Who else is there?
At this stage Boris is a shoe in so his opponents, almost entirely Remainers, have resorted once again to Project Smear. Yup he did a bit of plagiarism as a young journalist: we all know that. Yes, he's a toff from Eton: we all know that. There was that Darius Guppy episode, so what? And yes he has screwed half the women in London, so what?
You throw all of that and folks say "That Boris he's a bit of a bumbling rogue" and they like him even more. At last they find a politician who is not an dull robot who has failings but bounces back and is quite funny.
The smear on Boris would be to say that he is now a committed Christian into monogamy and watching old episodes of Midsommer Murders, how can you vote for someone so dull? The real attack might be to expose all his policy flip flops and to show that, like Dodgy Dave Cameron, he does not really believe in anything other than the pursuit of power for himself.
But the Remainers know nothing other than Project Smear. So wait for the splash headlines largely about the birds. It is not going to work but the stop Boris folks know no other way than smear and that will be their failing. Again.

I never thought I would be writing this but I suppose it had to happen eventually: I find myself agreeing 100% with what our thoroughly deranged Business Minister Vince Cable had said. The man is just bang on the money. The subject is immigration.
Cable, who I accept is mad as a hatter 99% of the time, says that the Tories are running scared of UKIP and so are engaging in wolf whistle politics on the subject of Romanian and Bulgarian immigration after Christmas. As Cable, Call Me Dave Cameron, the frightful Theresa May and Nigel Farage all know full well, the numbers arriving here will not be gargantuan. None will be able to claim benefits for quite some time and so those coming here will be those willing and wanting to do low paid jobs.
British business needs such folk because our welfare system is far too generous and so has created a whole layer of society which is fit only to undertake unskilled/low skilled labour but refuses to do so. In making that point Cable is again bang on the money. The Business Secretary understands that for GDP to grow as it should we need these immigrants.
The facts are:
1. Relatively few Bulgarians/Romanians will come over to the UK in January
2. Those who do will come to work
3. They are not taking jobs from anyone – employers cannot fill such jobs from home grown “talent” as that “talent” prefers welfare to such work
4. Consequently Romanians/Bulgarians will continue (as they do now) to pay far more in taxes in the UK than they claim in benefits from the State. This, by the way is a stark contrasts to the wider “native population” especially in the Welfare-mainlining subsidy paradise that is Scotland
5. This immigration will thus assist the exchequer and will boost business. It is good for Britain.
Those are the facts and Farage, Cameron et al know this full well. But they also know that, whipped up by the Daily Express, Daily Mail and others most folks are convinced that hundreds of thousands of semi-criminal welfare seekers are on the way. This is simply not true.
Someone with honesty would do what was best for the country and explain that. All credit to Vince Cable for trying to do just that. He cannot bring himself to say that we also need drastic reform to welfare. For if we did that there would be no immigration from South East Europe as there would be no jobs. As an employer I would rather hire someone who was fluent in English (or what goes for English as a result of 30 years of Comprehensive Education) to work hard. It is just that there are no such folks available hence the need for immigration.
But for saying something which will earn him only vitriol from the popular press and which will lose his party votes but which is none the less honest, compassionate, principled and true Vince Cable is an unlikely Christmas hero for 2013.
As for Farage, May, Cameron etc…. you know that what you say is untrue. You are engaged in a sordid fight for votes and so carry on regardless. Shame on the lot of you.

Don’t’ know who Jumaa is yet? Is that
a) Because Theresa May has cracked down on the UK’s insane asylum laws and so there is no problem
b) Becuase you have not read the sane Sunday press
c) Because you read the Guardian/Observer/Independent and think that our immigration/legal aid/welfare system is an unmitigated blessing so have not been told about Jumaa?
Ok, to the chase: Jumaa arrived in the UK illegally in 2004 in the back of a lorry. He cannot speak proper English. He has never worked. He has always lived on benefits. And he raped a 13 year old girl and two other minors. He is a paedophile.
So is the UK:
a) putting him in prison for a long time and then sending him back to Sudan because Theresa May has cracked down on the UK’s insane asylum laws?
b) Sending him straight back to Sudan?
c) having jailed him for just two years it is now paying him vast amounts of compensation for keeping him in prison longer as we tried to deport him and thus infringing his human rights?
Guess what? It is c. No kidding. Apparently Jumaa has cost the British taxpayer £350,000 since are arrived here. And Theresa May is useless. Well that second item won’t be news to you.
In honour of this case I ask you for captions to the picture below. Please post your entries in the comments section.
For what it is worth my caption is:
Idi takes a time machine and arrives in the UK in 2013 and Theresa May welcomes him saying: “Mr. Amin, we appreciate that if we sent you back to Uganda you would be persecuted for your cannibalism and so to protect your human rights please stay in Britain…now where would you like us to put you up?”
Last week I asked you for captions to this picture
The winner came via twitter from Peter McBride with:
I wonder if I could franchise the other lapel...?
Balir to a T. well done Peter.
I look forward to seeing the Amin capitions in the comments section below by Friday.

Abu Qatada is an Islamofascist hate preacher with clear links to Al Qaeda. Finally, after ten years he is as we speak in a prison van heading off to the airport on a one way ticket to Jordan where he is going to goal for terrorist offences. This is being presented as a triumph for Home Secretary Theresa May and the Conservative Party “Tough on terrorism, tough on the causes of Terrorism (except in Syria where want to give guns to Al Qaeda).” Bollocks.
It has cost £2 million to deport this loathsome man. He and his family have taken the grateful taxpayer for another £3 million plus in benefits and free housing over the past decade. And that is a triumph?
Three questions for Mrs May:
1. How many other loathsome terrorists & murderers ( like that chappie in Coventry who killed 400 in Kenya) are living in the UK on benefits? Do you know the answer?
2. How soon will you kick them out?
3. Why is Mrs Qatada allowed to stay? She faces no trial back in Jordan and nor do the little Qatada’s. They are of no benefit to this country, show no inclination to work, may well share their father’s repellent views and remain a burden on the taxpayer. When Abu finishes his stretch in Jordan he will undoubtedly claim that it is a breach of his Human Rights not to be allowed to re-join his adoring family. So Mrs May do you plan to have the entire Qatada family booted out as well?
To save Mrs May the trouble of answering her reply if she was honest would be: No! Incredibly slowly at best but probably not at all. No!
As you know I’d happily let anyone into the UK but no benefits should be given until five years’ work with NI has been delivered. If Mrs May thinks this one (incredibly costly) partial triumph will make anyone think that the situation is under control, she is fooling only herself.

For all the posturing by hopeless and useless Tory wannabee leader Theresa May and others the reality is that terrorist Islamofascist hate preacher Abu Qatada is staying in the UK. The Court of Appeal has backed his claim to stay. And that means that he will stay here in a large house (funded by you, the taxpayer), receiving thousands of pounds of benefits for him and his family each month ( funded by you), making no effort to work or get a job, preaching hate and almost certainly assisting evil terrorists. The UK law is quite simply a joke.
There are those who say that the Government should simply over-ride law and stick him on a plane back to Jordan or just get him bumped off. But once you give the State the power to ignore the rule of law for one individual (albeit a total scumbag) it can then use such arbitrary powers as it wishes – the Rubicon has been crossed. Pretty soon you will find whistleblowing bearded scientists lying dead in the woods. Oh, okay we have been there already. You will find folks arrested for shouting dissenting views at the Prime Minister. Oh, okay we have been there already. But you get my point – you cannot trust the state with arbitrary power to break the law.
And so we just have to recognise that the law sucks and get the daft Human Rights legislation driven through by the Wicked Witch and her husband the war criminal Blair amended. If that is not possible within the EU then the case for leaving gets ever stronger. But change the law and then kick him out. Meanwhile, sickeningly, we all pay for his benefits.
As for Theresa May. Heck we all know that she wishes to lead the Tory party and she talks tough. But does she actually do anything useful at all?
