Doing the maths on the Lift Global Ventures GM

It is pointed out to me that at the AGM of Lift Global Ventures (LFT) in December for some reason the shares of Mark Horrocks were not cast, otherwise the resolutions would have passed. With that on board how do the maths look here?

Asking the experts should we top slice our gold shares?

This is the question I pondered in bearcast yesterday. On balance I think I am more tempted to buy than to top slice although for today I sit on the sidelines doing nowt. But I thought I’d ask the experts. So my questions were:

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast No 2: the tweets of a scoundrel CEO ( who calls me a criminal)

I start with the FT whining of Rachel from Customer Services before considering some fascinating factoids about AI spending and bitcoin mining. Is the Bixby/Edwards bubble bursting? I don’t like Sundaes, a CRAP Retail offer looks like failing

Though the CEO is Jill Kenney, feel the diversity comrades, the strings at Sundae Bar (SBAR) are being pulled by the Edwards and Bixby gang. Edwards and Bixby own 28% of the shares, Bixby is chairman and of course it is a total spoof and anyone owning the shares is bonkers.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: a reader says I am too cautious on gold so should I bank profits in Ashanti and switch into Amaroq?

Are there really 19 million Brits travelling today as my mum's cousins tell me? If so the journey back to Wales could be frightful. Then onto gold and why its actually not at an all time high and should go higher. In light on that I review all the gold stocks I own and ponder selling Anglo Gold aAshanti (US:AU) my best performer this year and buying more Amaroq (AMRQ) or maybe Ariana (AAU). Then it is Tern (TERN) and finally the woes of running Celadon (CEL) and Versarien (VRS) into the ground, of fobbing off creditors and not being able to look staff in the eye. I also flag up the 8 share tips coming to you this long weekend.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast No1: reviewing my gold portfolio, a mixed bag but I am very much ahead

Like Nigel yesterday I accept my portfolio is a mixed bag. But with the least important gold stocks doing the worst and the largest holdings doing the best I am well ahead overall. In this podcast I discuss: Amaroq (AMRQ), Ariana (AAU), Bluebird Mining Ventures (BMN), Anglo Gold Ashanti (US:AU), red Rock Resources (RRR), Wishbone (WSBN) and Golden Prospect Precious Metals (GPM). I state the bleeding obvious about a company I no longer write about but where I own shares, for the CEOs of Ariana and Amaroq I suggest corporate actions to drive a re-rate..
