Woodlarks Christmas Grotto target reached & beaten – many thanks indeed

Thank you very much for all your generosity during the past three days. The target of £2,000 was reached and surpassed last night and as I write £2,175 has been reached which , with gift aid, is almost £2,600. You can still donate HERE to give even more presents to the kids in special schools and hospices. But the target is reached and on behalf of Nick, Sarah and the amazing team at Woodlarks, I say thank you very much indeed.

My Annual Woodlarks Christmas Grotto Appeal – please can you spare a fiver for an amazing cause

Right now there is building work underway at Woodlarks and that means that, for the first time I can remember, there will be no Christmas Grotto this year. However the Woodlarks Santa will be doing a mobile tour of schools with the sort of special needs Woodlarks is set up to deliver and to visit local hospices to see very ill children. “I want your money” as that poltroon Bob Geldof used to say.

Photo Article: Woodlarks, the Rogue Bloggers meet up as 1 group, lose Andrew Bell and cross the finish line

The final Rogue Bloggers for Woodlarks trek has ended. About a mile and a half before the finish, Dr Sam, Steve Moore and reader Nick from Islington caught the old geezers bar Andrew Bell who had wandered into a pub to emerge at Woodlarks a bit later in a taxi. The remaining walkers now in increasing pain, especially me, somehow managed the last bit which really is 90% uphill and met up with heroic Woodlarks supremo  Nick Richards, posed for a group photo and headed up the drive to an enthusiastic reception from campers and carers. That always warms my heart and it is that reception I try to think about in those last painful miles. We have now raised, with gift aid, more than £27,000 so thanks to you all. If you have so far forgotten to give you can still donate HERE.

The Rogue Bloggers have only 9 miles left to Trek. But someone who wasn’t there 25 miles ago has now joined in, Mr Andrew Bell. With fresh legs he is in fine form and , as is his wont, tells me how cheap are shares in Red Rock Resources (RRR). Where have I heard that before? We have now raised , with gift aid, more than £26,000 Please help us to help Woodlarks with a tenner  here.

Reader Dr Sam who had been meant to start with the old geezers at 4.15 AM decided to start with the Health Nazis at 7 AM instead. But he was late for that too so started alone. Just after our lunchtime we heard that caught up with the Health Nazis well before their lunch break Meanwhile the old men hit Alton and the house of Jane Austen, 21 miles done, at 2 pm. As daughter Olaf sits her final Oxford exam, I remember her premature birth as Carla Foster sent to jail for murdering her baby

Back in 1967 when abortion was legalized in the UK thanks to Lord David Steel, the paedophile protecter, we were told that it would be a rare and unusual medical procedure. In the first full year of legal abortions, 1969, 54,819 lives were ended.  By 2021 that number had soared to 214,256. So that means that thanks to Lord Steel just over 10 million unborn babies have now been aborted in the UK and this year 1 in 4 conceptions will end in abortion.  These are appalling figures but some think that the numbers are not high enough. I write this today, thinking about my daughter Olaf, born at just 26 weeks almost 22 years ago weighing 1 lb 4 oz.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast:Tory sleazebag David Williams of Avanti does it again - now 98% vindicated on Arqit

Faking a product demo to gain funding is fraud and Williams boasted about doing that so the Tory scumbag should not threaten me, as he has threatened others, with a lawyers letter for calling that out as an act of fraud. I discuss his antics at Avanti (AVN) and then Arqit Quantum (US:ARQQ) about which I warned at $37.41 on December 3 2021 HERE and at $5.65 on 17 June 2022 HERE. Mr. Percy Thrower Reporting back after a 16 mile Rogue Bloggers for Woodlarks training walk

There were three reasons to procrastinate about starting a training walk this weekend. The first is that if you were lying in bed next to a gorgeous younger wife would you want to get up? The second is that walking a long way by yourself, up and down a main road to Wrexham, is not that interesting. You can think about various things but there are only so many things you can think about or talk to yourself about. My training walk, avoiding the killer cows of years gone by is dull. The third reason…

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: The next Prime Minister gives a kiss of death to Ceres Power

Tomorrow is my third training walk for Rogue Bloggers for Woodlarks. I am targeting 11 miles and will post a picture of the service station on the Wrexham roundabout which is my turnaround point if we can get donations well above £1,000 before I leave. I can’t say fairer than that, please donate HERE. In today’s podcast I discuss Deutsche Bank ( the next Credit Suisse?), the fraud Supply@ME Capital (SYME), nanosynth (NNN), Kefi Gold & Copper (KEFI), Ceres Power (CWR), Genflow Biosciences (GENF) and Celadon Pharmaceuticals (CEL) and lock in expiries in a thin market.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: And today's big new shorting idea is...Celadon Pharmaceuticals

I start with a grumpy old man rant about standards in public and corporate life covering a lying Boris, Wildcat (WCAT) and Osirium (OSI) before moving onto the missing £20 million and the fraud Supply@ME Capital (SYME). I cover Amigo (AMGO), Versarien (VRS) and the liquidity trap, Inland (INL), Advanced Oncotherapy (AVO) before I turn my fire on Celadon (CEL). Finally I urge you to donate to Rogue Bloggers for Woodlarks as I outline my third training walk on Saturday. C’mon you can afford a tenner HERE

Photo Article - The reason no articles yesterday, my first training walk for Rogue Bloggers for Woodlarks, schoolboy errors

I had hoped that Darren would have added all the photos I sent him from the top of Moel Famau, a large hill the other side of Mold. But, he is not a Good German and I shall sack him later. Instead you can see me below with my chunky two year old daughter Jaya on my back and try to imagine views, stretching miles and miles, out into the Irish sea.

One last time, Rogue Bloggers for Woodlarks Annual 34 mile walk – we are on!

This will be the sixth walk and we have agreed the last. Maybe Lucian and I will do something different next year, maybe not. The old boy did turn 60 last year. The date is now set for June 17 and we will walk the 34 miles from Winchester to the Woodlarks camp. So far those signed up are:

Photo article: the Woodlarks Christmas Grotto, so many thanks to you all from Sarah, Nick and the team

On behalf of Woodlarks I say thank you very much: Christmas Grotto appeal closed!

I asked you for £3,000 to fund the Woodlarks Christmas Grotto appeal a week ago. Today we have reached our target with gift aid on top. I have asked Darren to close the page when he wakes up in the socialist hell hole that is Canada (no sniggering at the back) so no more money please. Treat yourself to an extra bottle of ouzo this Christmas. On behalf of Nick Richards, his charming Mrs Sarah and all the team at Woodlarks, we are very grateful for your generosity. Thank you all.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: time to write to the FCA about Odey

I start with macro economics and why I am so bearish on UK PLC. Then to Purplebricks (PURP) and the housebuilders in light of today’s shocking warning from the UK banks on mortgage lending prospects for 2023. Then Parsley Box (MEAL), Vast Resources (VAST) as the trap door approaches and Advanced Oncotherapy (AVO, Odey Asset Management and the FCA. I may be wrong about this but I’d like the FCA to have a butcher’s. Finally a big thank you from me on helping us raise all the money needed for the Woodlarks Christmas Grotto appeal.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: beware what a delirious Tom says, is this the end of Zak Mir at Lift?

First things first. We now need just £240 to wrap up the Woodlarks Christmas appeal. Please give a tenner HERE so we can do that on Monday. Thank you in advance. Second I am a bit delirious and explain why. Finally, is this the end of Zak Mir at the Lift Global Ventures (LFT) swizzle?

The annual Woodlarks Christmas Grotto appeal from Tom Winnifrith, just £20 shy of target! - can you get us over the line?

I know times are tough. But I am sure that if you are reading this you can afford a tenner or a fiver. And I ask that you hand that over to the amazing folks at Woodlarks as it does its first face to face Santa grottos for 200 kids whose, often short, lives are not like those we enjoy.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: why Gary Newman is so wrong on Coro

But we believe in free speech here so Gary is entitled to his opinion. But I explain why, in my view, Coro Energy (CORO) is a bargepole stock. Tom Winnifrith postcard: Jeremy Hunt's lie - there is NO case for not ending charitable status for public schools

Mr Hunt lied about what would happen if he ended the status which would have brought in material revenues. There is no case whatsoever for not ending such status and in doing so Mr Hunt protects the rich while the poor feel the squeeze. Now, of all times, this anomaly should be ended. The RSPCA is a charity. Woodlarks is a Charity. Eton College or Warwick School should not be allowed to claim charitable status.

Photo Article: Rogue Bloggers and the three bears, as we finally catch Brian Basham

We sped past Jane Austen’s house and into Alton, where I bring you a picture of three bears. No delays for the five rogue bloggers and, at 4.10 pm, with 11 miles to go, we caught up with 78-year-old Fleet Street legend, Brian Basham, and his trainer J, who had left Winchester five hours before us. We are now just nine miles from Woodlarks, and the group is again splitting into fast and slow. Amazingly, I am in the fast group. If you are yet to donate to this fantastic cause, please do so HERE.

Photo Article: Rogue bloggers for Woodlarks lunchbreak

At 17 miles, we are now halfway. Brian Basham, who started just after midnight, is now a couple of miles ahead of the main group; so, we are stopping for lunch. I wish my friend, Jonathan Price the euro loon, were here joining me, as I am struggling a bit. His Guardianista thoughts are always a reason to march on and end the suffering. The next stop is four miles away, and it is hard to think beyond that. Again, everyone else eats as I nibble at my half-eaten breakfast sandwich. I feel rotten. If you have yet to donate, please do so HERE.

Photo Article: Rogue bloggers for Woodlarks reach 14 miles

The next target is lunch, which is 3 miles away. We are, I calculate, on track to catch Brian Basham at c. 3 pm. My fellow rogue bloggers, even the hungover Lucian Miers and reader, N, who has an incredibly heavy backpack, are in fine form. I am not. Something isn’t right, and I am just taking on more liquids at this stage. I have confessed to Nick Richards that, for the first time, I may not make it to the finish line this year. Nevertheless, I am focused on the next three miles, which take us just past halfway. Master Miers, a barking-mad commie, is keeping at the back to help me along, entertaining me with his bonkers worldview.  He makes our in-house Euro loon, Jonathan Price, seem rather sane.  Think of my suffering, as Master Miers explains why rich people’s houses should be nationalised, and donate to Woodlarks HERE

Photo Article: Rogue bloggers for Woodlarks update: Basham located at breakfast time

We marched past the beds of watercress, and are now just 15 minutes behind schedule. At the first rest break – the Cricketers Arms – Lucian is apologising for last night’s excess to his Mrs. Fleet Street legend, Brian Basham has been in contact. Two hours ago, he was 45 minutes ahead of where we are now. The pursuit is on. If you have yet to donate to this great cause, think of the suffering that lies ahead: 25 miles still to go! Please donate HERE.

Lucian’s hangover has delayed us by 35 minutes, but now, we are off! If you have yet to donate, please do so HERE.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: with a hat tip to reader, Jim, on the Isle of Man

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Time to double up on the Shield Therapeutics final collapse, the money's almost all gone!

On 18 February, at 25.5p to sell, the big bear call was greeted with abuse from BB savants, who, unsurprisingly, always know better.  Shares in Shield (STX) are now 14.6p, and the final collapse to c. 5p is now set to begin. Double up on your shorts.  In this podcast, I discuss Argo Blockchain (ARB); Nostra Terra Oil & Gas (NTOG) and its unsavoury CEO, Matt Lofgran – praise be the Lord; then, I look at Genflow Biosciences (GENF), as its shares continue to tank; Challenger Energy (CHAL); Eurasia Mining (EUA); and Petropavlovsk (POG), where the target remains 0p.  Finally, I remind you that Rogue Bloggers for Woodlarks is just 4 days away, and we are at 34% of the target. If among the 92% of listeners yet to donate, do give a fiver (or a tenner), HERE.

It is just five days to Rogue Bloggers for Woodlarks and we are at just under 33% of our target so can the 93% of listeners yet to donate please do so HERE. In today’s podcast I cover the quarter of a billion quid blown, largely by Neil Woodford, at Rutherford (RUTH) and how that made Woodford, personally, even richer. I name and shame a couple of those who enabled that scam.  I look at Wildcat Petroleum (WCAT), Guild ESports (GILD) and Cellular Goods (CBX) and the piss poor Times’ idea of breaking news, I mention Optibiotix (OPTI),look at Eve (EVE) which seems to be a zero to me, at spineless and busted Cineworld (CINE) and in detail at ADVFN (AFN) and its woes.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast - who'd have guessed that David Beckham was not a stock picker?

As you grow old, you should learn from investing. In that vein, I discuss my 1997 encounters with Adonis Pouroulis of Chariot Oil & Gas (CHAR), and why I’d not touch Chariot with a bargepole. I also discuss investing in a bear market, what we should do and the irrational decisions others will make, looking at AAA, Asimilar (ASLR) and Audioboom (BOOM). I then examine Guild ESports (GILD), and what I believe is an upcoming placing at 1p. That will also kick Cellular Goods (CBX) in the golden balls. The Rogue Bloggers for Woodlarks walk is looming. It is June 11.34miles. And my training to date has been poor.  So, at 6.24 AM I set out for a little stroll as you can see below.

I am doing this to raise cash for an incredible charity. As you enjoy my real suffering below please do make a donation HERE

Now at 4% of target - please donate to Rogue Bloggers for Woodlarks: Jim's in!

It is nowjust  7 weeks away and I really must start training as soon as I am back in Wales. I hope that my fellow walkers( Miers, Basham, Basham’s trainer, Bell, Moore and two readersof this weebsite who seem frighteningly keen and fit) are better prepared. Anyhow, train I will for it is a great cause and we have now raised 4% of our £50,000 target but fear not I shall be begging almost daily from now onwards.

Andrew Bell signs up for Rogue Bloggers for Woodlarks – will it be 4th time lucky for the great man?

To date, controversial mining boss Bell, has managed 18 miles, 31miles and 3 miles (the last three). But on June 11th he will try to make it 4th time lucky and complete the 34miles Winchester to Woodlarks walk. He joins myself, writers Lucian Miers, Steve Moore, three of our readers Jonathan Price, Nick and Sam plus 80 year old Fleet Street Legend Brian Basham and his long suffering trainer. So that makes nine rogue bloggers so far.

Photo Article: Rogue Bloggers for Woodlarks - Serious Training starts, walk 1

My pal Matt is over from New Zealand and suggested a gentle seven mile Saturday stroll along the Sandstone Trail in Cheshire followed by lunch at the Pheasant. I thought that sounded easy enough and so said “why not” and that I would carry Jaya, a chunky sixteen month old, on my back. I had never encountered the Sandstone Trail before.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Optibiotix & chatting to Steve O'Hara as Lemming Investor walks away

There was no Bearcast yesterday as I was a) knackered after a tough Rogue Bloggers for Woodlarks training walk and then b) a bit pissed after Ireland’s triumph over the infidels. You can now donate to the 2022 Rogue Bloggers walk on June 11 HERE. In today’s podcast I discuss Optibiotix (OPTI), a long chat with Steve O’Hara and an, in my view, mistaken, but for him massive, call by Lemming Investor. I also cover SkinBiotherapeutics (SBTX). The Russia/Ukraine podcast I refer to is HERE

Photo Article from the Welsh Hovel- the floodwaters on the River Dee at the old Bridge to England

Later on I have a few snaps of the River Dee at the Hovel itself but first a few from last night and this morning from the 1300s bridge about 1000 yards downstream over to the infidels in England. First a couple from yesterday looking downstream on the Welsh side.

Photo article from the banks of the river Dee - the first signs of spring

I have abandoned the young mums group on Tuesday’s as I just seemed unable to make any small talk with alll the other primary carers. It’s partly down to my own lack of social skills and partly down to the fact that I was the only person in the room not to have certain shared experiences as a young mother. Instead I am starting my training for Rogue Bloggers for Woodlarks with a weekly walk with Jaya on my back.  To date I have been doing two and a half miles every day and that will continue. But now, Tuesdays and one weekend day will see a longer bonus walk.

Photo article from the Welsh Hovel - Damson vodka crumble

As I am on the Lucian Miers diet I cannot drink anything from the two bottles of damson vodka I decanted the other day. But I had a brief break in the diet, as I plan to step up the excercise part of it next week, as you can see below.

Why I cannot give to the CALM Charity, the only fat cat I support is called Quincey

My friend Paul Nicholson urges us to donate to the anti-suicide charity CALM but I fear that I cannot. It is not that I do not consider the cause worthy. For very obvious reasons I do. It is the CEO salary I cannot accept.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: A sleazy PWC report does not excuse grotesque NED share option greed at Optibiotix, it stinks

I start with a few minutes on Woodlarks. This may be my last year doing the Rogue Bloggers Walk but myself, Lucian Miers and Jonathan Price are minded to do it once more in May or June. On the basis that it could be a last hurrah and that you may want to consider a way of shifting that Christmas belly bulge how about you join us in 2022? Then onto Optibiotix (OPTI) where its NEDs have behaved in a most disgraceful way with free money share option troughing. As a loyal shareholder this is another kick in the gonads for me and I urge Steve O’Hara to sack three of the four of them and replace them with one new, less greedy, individual. Actually I’d go for all four booting out chairman Neil Davidson as well.

Photo Article from the Welsh Hovel - for Robert, the wood pile grows even bigger

Photo Article from the Greek Road Trip - back to 2012 in Zitsa and the world's greatest baker, I feel awful

It was in the small town of Zitsa that Lord Byron sheltered from a thunderstorm when riding with his friend Cam Hobhouse in 1809. Poems from that episode duly followed. My Aunt L, to whom I chatted today from Delphi on Cochrane matters, married a Hobhouse but it was not that 1809 sheltering or Byron that took myself and Joshua to Zitsa yesterday.

Saturday 29th May I walk 34.2 miles – will you please sponsor me and the other Rogue Bloggers for Woodlarks?

I seem to have pulled some muscles in my back and shoulder and am in a bit of pain which will make tomorrow’s 34.2 mile walk from Winchester Cathedral to Woodlarks even more “fun”. But walk I shall as the quite amazing charity said that it needed to cover its costs in this year when its revenues have been eliminated by lockdown by us raising £48,000. So I will walk and I will finish. I won’t be alone but ask that you do your part and sponsor me as we seek to raise that £48,000. To those who have already done so, I say thank you, to the rest of you…

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Explaining with hard data and FACTS why Zoetic shares will collapse from 63.5p to buttons

I thank those who have been so generous so far but if you have not yet donated to Rogue Bloggers for Woodlarks consider a fat middle aged man walking 27 miles in the Cheshire rain tomorrow and please give a few quid HERE. In this podcast I look at one company, at hard facts about its share ownership, about its sales about what it has not said and at peer group valuation analysis. At the end of it all, I challenge anyone to disagree with the conclusion that the shares will collapse over the coming months from 63.5p to buttons. Re the declaration, the share I own is Imperial Brands (IMB).

Photo Article: Training walk No 4 for Rogue Bloggers for Woodlarks - 20 miles

It was 13 days ago that I did this walk – just over 20 miles. Last week my woke snowflake daughter Olaf joined me so I did just 11 miles not wishing to be accused of breaching her human rights with an act of patriarchal oppression.  The route is the same as ever: along our fields by the Dee in Wales, the Bridge over to England and then walking the English side of the Dee towards Chester and back. This walk saw me end up walking past some of the smaller houses belonging to the Duke of Westminster on his extensive lands by the Dee. It does make you think a bit about the nature of inherited wealth.

For the second year on the trot, the Woodlarks camp for the disabled cannot run low cost unique holiday camps for folks who would otherwise, almost certainly not get a holiday. This unfashionable charity is another victim of lockdown and so now needs £48,000 to ensure it survives iunto 2022 when we hope it can re-open. So for the 4th year the Rogue Bloggers will be walking and begging!

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Optibiotics vs Skinbiotherapeutics

I start with a few words on the late Phil the Greek and reference an article I wrote exactly one month ago HERE on the liberal US celeb Joy Behar calling out Phil and his family as Nazis.  I reflect on the weather here in Wales and how tomorrow’s 20 mile training walk for Woodlarks will be very unpleasant indeed. So please do support me with a donation HERE. Then I discuss the saintly Vin Murria and share sales at Summerway (SWC) and for the first and last time in history I am a bit uneasy about all of this. Then the debate on whether to back the Skinbiotherapeutics (SBTX) or the Optibiotix (OPTI) charger?

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: the hard numbers which show why the Supply@ME Capital Singapore deal is a 100% total rum 'n' coke

Off to Shipston in a minute but before then I cover en passant: Kefi (Kefi), Serabi Gold (SRB) and 88 Energy (88E). I also beg you again to help Woodlarks – we are now just 7 Rogue Bloggers thanks to an injury and are just shy of £4,000 pledged - help get us over the £4,000 mark today HERE. The bulk of bearcast looks at the fraud Supply@ME Capital (SYME) and the hard numbers which show what a joke its Singapore deal is. Anyone holding these shares is truly insane. My target remains 0p.

Photo from the latest Woodlarks training walk of ShareProphets Reader Robert Lewis.

We are now up to eight rogue bloggers for Woodlarks with J, the son of reader Jonathan Price joining the party. That means one more person for the “having to talk to Dan Levi rota” so spreading the misery of hearing about the evils of Brexit and why disgraced Guardian fantasist Carole Cadwalladr is a genius, more widely. That is all good news. But think of how we will suffer on the day, even if it is now for less than 2 hours each and make a donation HERE. Meanwhile we continue with our training walks. As I look at the snow falling here in Wales I am glad I did my weekly walk yesterday. But here is a photo from Robert in Cornwall as he made it up to 15 miles.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: seeing through a purple fecking mist

I refer to the painting of a window at the Welsh Hovel which occurred as I was out doing a 16 mile Woodlarks training walk. I am utterly livid so please give a few quid to Woodlarks HERE, as you consider both my anger and my sore feet. In this podcast I look at professional media tarts like Peter Hargreaves bleating on about retail punters being mugged on the Deliveroo (ROO) float. Then at signs of the bubble of everything this time in relation to residential housing.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: the problem Denise Coates poses for me as a libertarian

I do not begrudge her earning £489 million last year but is there a social cost in how she makes her cash? I then look at the stages of the changes in the sentiment cycle with three promotes/frauds: Versarien (VRS), Zoetic (ZOE) and Supply@ME Capital (SYME). Tomorrow as you stuff your faces with Easter Eggs I plan to walk 15 miles as a Woodlarks trainer, consider my soon to be very sore feet and make a donation HERE.

Photo Article - the melted Chocolate Easter Egg from Amazon, rotten customer service

Joshua’s dinosaur Easter Egg arrived c/o Amazon the Wednesday before Easter and within 48 hours of order. But the one for the Mrs arrived late in the afternoon of Easter Sunday. I opened the box when I returned home from Woodlarks training walk number 3, 16 miles of pain, and I was already in a foul mood thanks to the purple window when I discovered an egg that had more than half melted, as you can see below.  It was too late to find a replacement but the Mrs was surprisingly understanding as I had prepared three amazing suppers for what was also her Birthday weekend and some spectacular brunches. So notwithstanding one stand up row with a mad lefty pal of hers who was staying for the weekend, I was in the good books of the boss and she empathised on the egg. But it got worse from there as far as Amazon is concerned.

Photo Article: Woodlarks Training walk Number 3 - 16 miles

The good news is that we should be up to 12 rogue bloggers for Woodlarks by the end of the weekend. The bad news is that Lucian Miers has walked the course and it is indeed 34 miles, not the usual 33, and the last 1.5 miles are all uphill, just when one is ready to collapse. And thus I must train ever harder as this walk is the most important I have ever done and I must finish.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: So did you fall for my April Fool?

On Easter Sunday as you munch your way through vast amounts of chocolate, I shall be walking 15 miles in the Cheshire rain and snow for my latest Woodlarks training walk. Enjoy my suffering and please make a donation HERE. In today’s bearcast, a liars special, I discuss Versarien (VRS) – target price 0p, Verditek (VDTK), first stop target price 2p by June 30 and Supply@ME Capital (SYME) – target price 0p.

Photo Article: training walk number two for Woodlarks, 13 miles with only five in rain

I have just finished my third training walk for Woodlarks, which was 16 miles. This is the photo record of walk two, 13 miles along the same route. I start walking along our fields by the Dee here in Wales. This is the view up across the second, smaller, field up to the Church whose doors I am no longer darkening. This field has a bog in the centre for about eight or nine months a year and is thus a bit of a wildlife haven.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: what is it with politicians and sleazy American blondes?

I start with Boris and the blonde and what it says about double standards for the public sector ( our servants) and the private sector.  My big political scoop of the day, BTW, is HERE.  Then I discuss procrastinating ahead of a Woodlarks training walk. The weather is foul here in Wales but off I go, so as you listen so think of my suffering and donate HERE. Then it is onto Hargreaves Lansdowne (HL), poodle journalists, Link and Neil Woodford.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: 2 shockers from the housing market and that truly shocking Julie Meyer expose

The telephone call harassment started at 6.43 AM today and woke up three of us. I hope the North Wales police will act. The DOS attacks continue and last night also saw a stream of abusive hate-filled emails from temporary and thus untraceable accounts. What fun. Tomorrow is my second Woodlarks training walk so think of me in the Welsh rain as I target 12 miles or a shade more and please make a donation HERE. In today’s bearcast, I relay two shocking tales from the housing market and then discuss today’s shocking Julie “lingerie on expenses” Meyer expose.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Another day of phone harassment & a DOS attack as I explain insider dealing laws re Bluebird

I start with the harassment: I wonder which fraudsters are trying to silence us today. Apologies if the site is slow, now you know why. Then onto Bluebird Merchant Ventures (BMV) and my scoop of earlier. Finally, St James House (SJH) and a follow up from Nigel’s shocking expose. I will do my second Woodlarks training walk on Sunday and am aiming for 12-13 miles. Think of my suffering, smirk and please donate HERE.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Why IQE's valuation is a rum 'n' coke, 2 acid tests for the FCA and talking to the great man of mining analysis

I end with a few notes on Woodlarks. There are now 7 walkers confirmed – please do make a donation HERE. Then I discuss 2 acid tests today for the FCASupply@ME Capital (SYME) and Lyin’ Chris Cleverly’s planned RTO into Stranger Holdings (STHP). Then I look at St James House (SJH) and wonder if the taxman needs to have a butcher’s at 4 of its disposals involving John Botros. Then it is onto IQE (IQE) and why Malcolm Stacey and thirsty Paul Scott are wrong. Finally a look at Jubilee Metals (JLP). I look at the fundamentals after today’s interims and conclude that the shares should be well North of 20p. Then I discuss the matter with the world’s leading analyst of PGM stocks beginning with J for his input.

The view on Comrade Robert's Woodlarks training walk yesterday

Robert is one of seven rogue bloggers for Woodlarks this year. Yesterday he managed 12 miles in the glorious sun as he stepped up his training ahead of our 34 mile stroll in late May. Today I am hoping to do 13 miles in a very wet and miserable Wales. Looking at the sun and the amazing view Robert enjoyed, I am rather jealous…

My first training walk to help save Woodlarks

Because of the lockdown rules and because so many of its campers have immune deficiency issues, Woodlarks cannot open this year and so it has no income. So if the Rogue Bloggers do not do another walk and do not raise £48,000, Woodlarks may not reopen at all next year so please do donate now HERE. As such, we band of seven have pledged to go the extra mile. This year it is 34 not 33 miles from Winchester to Woodlarks on May 29. And I am not in great shape.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Buy, sell or hold Centamin

I start with harassment by phone call – 11 in three hours last night, 6 in 30 minutes starting this afternoon. It is not going to stop me writing about Zoetic (ZOE) and other frauds! Then onto a reader’s idea that £5.99 gets to tell me what NOT to write. Then onto Woodlarks. I did my first serious training walk yesterday which I’ll write up later but we now have FIVE walkers lined up for May 29 and Woodlarks desperately needs cash so please donate HERE. Finally a look at Centamin (CEY), not my greatest investment. But where now?

Christian Aid & the Samaritans can feck right off, they will not get a cent of my cash

I wrote in my weekly Tomograph Newsletter HERE this morning that, by this June, I hoped that over the space of four years, myself and my fellow rogue bloggers would have raised more than £200,000 for the amazing, if unfashionable, Woodlarks charity. That would cover about two years of its bare minimum running costs and absolutely every cent I have raised will go for the purpose it is intended for, enriching the lives of severely disabled young people. There is zero going on management or other purposes. How unlike some bigger names.

Photo article: father & son, my best Christmas present to myself & 1 Joshua got earlier as we walk in Wales

The smaller Peppa Pig wellies contain the feet of four-year-old Joshua. The larger wellies were a late Christmas present to myself and meant that we were able to go on a decent New Year’s Day walk together up the River Dee on the Welsh side heading towards Chester. Walking with your son does not spread Covid in the way that sledging might in the world of mad Mark Drakeford, our dear leader here in Wales.

Tom Winnifrith Christmas Woodlarks appeal - 148% of target reached, thank you it is all done & the appeal is over

I asked you to help raise £3500 for the Woodlarks Christmas Grotto appeal. You have been most generous. As you can see here, we have raised £5,185.15, with Gift aid £5,807.89. You have been most generous and myself and Nick Richards from Woodlarks would like to thank each and every one of you who chipped in. You are heroes. Tom Winnifrith Bearcast - the big villains of the weekend financial press are....

The small villains are the uber-spiv directors of Remote Monitoring Systems (RMS), Trevor Brown and Paul Ryan who get a good slating. I, again, ask questions about the timeline of events. The big villain is Sir Phil Green of Arcadia and I ride to his defence and have a pop at one of his critics Sir Stuart Rose formerly of Marks & Sparks (MKS) Finally we are just £400 short on the Woodlarks appeal. 85% of way to target after 40 hours: Tom Winnifrith’s Woodlarks Christmas Appeal – if you can be generous please be generous

I know that readers of this website have given so much to Woodlarks over the years. This summer the Rogue Bloggers walk saw us raise enough to ensure that this amazing charity will not go bust despite the lockdown which has been a disaster for it.  Activities are still massively constrained and the Christmas Grotto which brings unbelievable pleasure to 200 severely handicapped or very ill kids each year will have to be a virtual one this year. But it will still cost a few quid…

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: UKOG treats its shareholders with utter contempt as it loses planning battle

Ahead of that I discuss UK Oil & Gas (UKOG) where the shares are 66% overvalued, Zoetic (ZOE) which is even more expensive and Tungsten (TUNG), also a massive sell even after today’s share price slide. After 24 hours we have raised 37% or 42% of the amount needed for the Woodlarks Christmas appeal. Thanks to those who have donated. I comment on Woodlarks where we are now at 55% of target so please please make a donation today HERE. I only ask each of you for a tenner but how about every bearcast listener donates that TODAY so we hit target. Please give HERE. Then I look at my friend Jonathan Price’s article about why I am wrong on property plays. Euro loon Jonathan is a great chap though utterly misguided on almost every issue as only an elitist London millionaire can be and I clarify matters. Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: correction on Skinbiotherapeutics share sale, an SP Angel insider dealing scandal? And is Opti's Steve O'Hara a liar like Bidstack's Draper?

My next big walk is Tuesday - we are at 36% of target so please do donate HERE. Next up in hargreaves Lansdown (HL.), why not screw your customers as they seem to like it? Then onto share sales in Skinbiotherapeutics (SBTX) by Optibiotix (OPTI) and what appears to be a scandal involving broker SP Angel. I shall be going to the FCA tomorrow to ask for an enquiry. Finally is Steve O’Hara a liar like Lyin’ James Draper of Bidstack (BIDS). Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: In defence of Boohoo's management

In today’s podcast I tempt fate – as I am about to record a video with Matt Earl – in defending Boohoo’s (BOO) boss. I discuss the shares vs cash debate, Rolls Royce (RR.), sharp share price moves, ref Skinbiotherapeutics (SBTX) and what the real unemployment number will be as furloughing is wound down. And now for a long training walk for the Woodlarks walk in 2 weeks time. We are now at 36% of target: please donate today HERE

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: let's hear it for a despised & reviled minority who are the true Coronavirus heroes

I refer, of course, to smokers. Before Malcolm gets on his high horse, hear me out. What I say is logical if a bit crazy. In that vein I also discuss the mad idea of buying the ten worst stocks on AIM and ask for your nominations. I start with Catenae Innovation (CTEA), Tern (TERN), Clear Leisure (CLP) and Attis Oil & Gas (AOGL). I also discuss the crazy idea of buying FinnCap (FCAP) shares. I look at the Powerhouse Energy (PHE) ramp and at the curious case of Anexo (ANX) placing today as directors dump shares. The Woodlarks walk appeal is now at 34% please, as I start another training walk this afternoon, donate HERE.

Firstly the links. For reasons discussed, if you are not registered with Primary Bid register for free now HERE. Secondly we are at 33% help us to save Woodlarks donate HERE. Heck even daughter Olaf has dipped into her vodka funds to donate. In the podcast I look at IWG (IWG), Pathfinder Minerals (PFP), Cineworld (CINE), Bidstack (BIDS), Fox Marble (FOX) and, sorry Jim, Condor Gold (CNR). I also look at the “wisdom” of appointing a Chief Diversity Officer.

Woodlarks walk – Training Update, a 19km stroll with my daughter, ice cream for Joshua

The sunshine was glorious and my teenage daughter was here at the Welsh Hovel to help drag her aged father around the track we have cut in the grass around three of our fields. Quickly I established some good news.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: I have sold all my Open Orphan shares now and explain why

First of all i hope you listen to the first of my now weekly long premium video podcasts which went out late last night HERE. It was a lot of work recording as I explain in this bearcast. It also gives background on my thinking on Covid-19 and that brings me to Novacyt (NCYT) which has company specific issues which will blow it up as I explain in yesterday’s show and Open Orphan (ORPH) which is very well run and a great company but where I have sold my last shares. I explain why. I also look at Asiamet (ARS), Bluebird Merchant Ventures (BMV), 4D Pharma (DDDD) and Big Dish (DISH). Finally if you have yet to donate to Rogue Bloggers for Woodlarks , the great day looms and we are now at 31% so please donate HERE

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast - the rise and fall of Pizza Express

Yesterday’s training walk was just five miles but I had Joshua on my back for 2/7 of the circuits around the Welsh Hovel. And one neighbour saw me, chatted and pledged £200 to Woodlarks. Please make your pledge today HERE. In the podcast I discuss why , I think, Malcolm is wrong on consumer spending and Pizza Express, its rise and fall, a tale for our times.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Darren Atwater & some bird from Brooklyn (who probably also has a beard) spout lefty post Covid shite

I start with one of Darren’s long reads which offers a post Covid plan for the restaurant sector. The author obviously has not got a clue about what being an entrepreneur means and about how business works. But this sort of nonsense is mainstream. In a similar vein I discuss board room greed and stupidity at Lloyds (LLOY) before moving onto how you deal with serial failures & pigs, reference the main troughers at Iconic (ICON). I start with a row with my neighbout who thinks my Woodlarks training threatens her social distancing and will see her dog kidnapped. I despair. I shall be walking past her house 7 times this afternoon. As you consider that treat please donate to rogue bloggers now as we reach 29% of target. Please give HERE

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: So it will be 50 laps of the fields as I struggle with the share dealing timeline at AJ Bell

Myself and some friends from here, the last village in Wales, walked the track around the 3 farthest fields at the Welsh Hovel and it is 1.1 kilometres long. That means that on June 13 I shall walk the circuit 50 times exactly raising the money Woodlarks needs just to survive into 2021. Today I did three laps as I faced a busy day. Tomorrow it will be ten. Please donate a few quid today HERE. In the podcast I consider in long detail the timeline of major share dealings at AJ Bell (AJB) which just does not look right to me. There are a stack of questions going begging. Then it is onto Eurasa (EUA) and what will happen on Friday. Will SP Angel again show that it will act for anyone or will AIM Regulation wade in to ensure Eurasa is booted off the AIM Casino? I discuss that matter in detail.

I really will struggle to do 33.3 miles but Woodlarks must get £48,000 -please donate today

Because of the wholly unnecessary Coronavirus lockdown there is no mass Rogue Bloggers for Woodlarks walk as planned on June 13. Instead I shall walk alone for 33.3 miles around the three biggest fields here at the Welsh Hovel.  And having done little training I am not in great shape – I am going to struggle. But I MUST finish as Woodlarks needs £48,000 just to survive so please do sponsor me HERE.As a reminder…

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Andrew Monk defends the indefensible & can ShareSoc save the fraud Akazoo from a troublemaker?

I start with Monkey defending the whore blogger Malcolm Graham Wood. With reference to today’s disastrous news from Hurricane Energy (HUR) and the fraud Frontera (FRR) I discuss why he is so wrong to do so. Then I look at Open Orphan (ORPH) and today’s fund raise and what to make of it all. Finally, after a few jokes about an IRA man at the garden centre, I move onto the final demise of InternetQ/Akazoo. This weekend sees the first long training walk as a lone rogue blogger for Woodlarks. I am now at 25% of the target to raise, please help me get to 33% by Sunday by donating HERE

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Chris is right about Whitbread as we hit 24% of Woodlarks target

Over the weekend I hope to bring you photos of a semi complete strawberry patch here at the Welsh Hovel and also of my first long training walk for Woodlarks. I donated £1000 yesterday and young Steve Moore also made a generous gift so we are now at 24% of the £48,000 we need to ensure Woodlarks survives. Please donate HERE. In the podcast I look at Whitbread (WTB), Catenae (CTEA) and at where we are in the gold shares buying cycle, referring to three I own and am very excited: Bluebird Merchant (BMV), Kefi (KEFI ) – no sniggering at the back please – and Xtract (XTR). Again no sniggering.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: This is a crazy world

I discuss rocketing unemployment – and we ain’t seen nothing yet, shares making higher ground and folks paying to lend money to the Government. It is all insane yet, on balance, I remain a bull of shares. Then I look at how nothing has changed with regard to executive greed citing three examples I have covered elsewhere today. There is a fourth which makes what I outline today seem like a nothing issue. It is linked to shameless stock promotion and I will expose it all at the weekend in a new premium, i.e. we charge 99p, podcast to replace Shareprophets Radio. Media models based on advertising and sponsorship are, in my view, dead. I think 99p for a 2 hour video & audiocast is a fair price but what do I know? Finally, we are now at 20% of our target at Rogue Bloggers for Woodlarks. Help us get to 23% by tomorrow, please donate HERE

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: in 100% defence of Roger Lawson of ShareSoc

I start by thanking both Jim Mellon and Nigel Wray who have eached pledged £1000 to Rogue bloggers for Woodlarks, ahead of June 13 when I shall be walking around my fields here in Wales. Woodlarks needs £48,000 to survive the year. We have now raised 17% of that, please can you make a donation, however small, today to get us closer to target. Please give HERE. I then launch into a heartfelt defence of Roger Lawson of Sharesoc over what appears to be an undeclared related party deal at the organisation that campaigns for improved corporate governance and transparency. Then I look at Imperial Brands (IMB) and First Derivatives (FDP), one a stonking long the other a stonking short.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Maybe this time the odious bullshitter O'Leary is right

In today’s podcast I look at the pronouncements from the odious leprechaun at Ryanair (RYA), Michael O’Leary. He may be right in what he says but that is no reason to buy airline shares. Then I cover Corero (CNS), Open Orphan (ORPH), where I am both vindicated after Friday’s letter to AIM Regulation and also a seller of more shares today, Novacyt (NCYT), Collagen (COS), Falanx (FLX), and Bidstack (BIDS). Thanks to those who have donated to Rogue Bloggers for Woodlarks but most of you have not yet! Please do spare a few bob as the campsite needs our help urgently if it is to make it to 2021. Donate HERE

Tom Winnifrith Photo Bearcast - a training walk with my cats as Nigel fully exposes Tern & Belarus exposes the GroupThink

The photos below did not come out well but show the track now cut through the grass around our three fields here at the Welsh hovel where myself and the cats (pictured) went on a training walk today. Come June 13 I will complete this route 30-40 times and I beg you to sponsor me, as I look to raise the cash to save Woodlarks, now HERE. In the podcast I look at Belarus and Covid 19 referencing my article earlier today HERE, at Nigel’s dynamite expose of Tern (TERN) today and at why ShareSoc should be done under the Trades Description Act.

I include Robert the tractor driver.  If you have not donated please do so HERE. But maybe hold back a few coppers for Evil Banksta and hois colleagues in banking, I describe their suffering and how long it will last. And what the ramifications are for companies such as Restaurant Group (RTN). then I look at Open Orphan which has GOT to issue an RNS after this piece HERE. Thde good news is that Buzzfeed UK has been shut down for good. The bad news is that pampered journalists are increasingly demanding that we plebs pay more in tax to subsidise them. I discuss that then the increasingly murky goings on at All Active Asset Capital (AAA), death spiral nonsense at Tertiary Minerals (TYM) and then buyers remorse at Restaurant Group (RTN). Finally I have bad news about Woodlarks & need your help, please respond.

Photo article from the Welsh Hovel - Coronavirus blocks walk

So far the Betsi Cadwalldr health district seems to have been relatively unaffected by the Coronavirus. But there have been deaths around here in North Wales and there are many more folks who have caught Covid 19 and survived. In order to boost my immune system to improve my odds if I do catch it, I take Joshua for a walk each day first over our fields and then further on along the River Dee on the Welsh side and heading downstream.

I have two  guests in this week’s show which is sponsored by Open Orphan PLC (ORPH) .I also discuss Coronavirus and the markets an d my own experiences as a (failed) whistleblower. My first guest is Petrick Abbott, formerly head of Versarien’s US operations who sets the record straight on why he left and spills the beans on what is really happening, or not, at his old employer. Then I chat to Lucian Miers about the markets, his top 3 US shorts, Apple, NMC Health (NMC), De La Rue (DLAR), IQE (IQE), Tullow (TLW), Telit (TCM) and Versarien (VRS). I am walking 34 miles for Woodlarks with Lucian and others this June 13 and I  ask you to sponsor we rogue bloggers HERE.  If you like this podcast and can’t wait seven days for more of the same and are tired of being a cheapskate you should listen to my Bearcast and enjoy our cracking writen exposes and analysis every day HERE.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Eurasia owning morons lay into poor Gary Newman for speaking the truth with hard analysis

In today’s bearcast I discuss how little shorting actually takes place on the AIM Casino, I look at Eurasia (EUA) where the slience is deafening, Versarien (VRS) and at Hammerson (HMSO) where Andrew Monk should thank me for warning him off but should NOT be tempted to bottom fish after the dividend is cut this week. And 8% yield, post cut, is still illusory. Finally, I again ask you to sponsor the , now 5, Rogue Bloggers for Woodlarks HERE

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast - So what really did happen at Great Western & is Zenith near toast?

In today’s podcast I look aty one theory about the past 48 hourse at Great Western Mining (GWMO). i shall be asking the FCA to investigate. I pass on a rumour about Zenith Energy (ZEN) which, if true, will rapidly accelerate its already inevitable demise and I explain why directors of Dev Clever (DEV) should be in jail. Hell’s teeth, Dev’s year end is November 30 not December 31 as I thought, making this case of securities fraud even worse than I describe in the bearcast. Lock em up starting with boss Chris Jeffries. Again I shall be contacting the FCA.  I also look at NMC Health (NMC) and Novacyt (NCYT). Now that we are at 5 rogue bloggers for Woodlarks, with more rogue bloggers gto be announced soon, surely all listeners can spare a tenner to donate HERE

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Update from flood central, just when will IQE issue its Coronavirus warning

This really is today’s bearcast despite my introduction. Thanks for the kind messages about the flooding, the waters are now recedng fast. In today’s podcast I look at China and the Coronavirus and ask WHEN IQE (OQE) will warn and if that will force a discounted placing. Methinks it will. I then look at the rioles of brokers (does research mean anything)? and Nomads (rules on quitting) in general and specifically in relation to Versarien (FRAUD). Then I discussa crazed TW hater and Optibiotix (OPTI) and how ultimately all comment on a company cannot determine its real value. In that vein I also look at Novacyt (NCYT) before finally looking at the worthless joke that is Conroy Gold and Natural Resources (CGNR). And I announce a fifth rogue blogger, Praise the Lord. Please donate something to the Woodlarks appeal HERE

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: the battle of the devout Christian giants: Matt Lofgran vs Flip Flop Ben Turney. Praise be the Lord

All we need now is for Julie “Lingerie on expenses” Meyer to enter the bust up at Nostra Terra Oil & Gas (NTOG) and the holy row would be complete. This will be entertaining if, I suspect, utterly pointless. I also comment on Versarien (VRS) correcting a BB loon – and flag up that I have a major AIM expose of a high profile, shortable, stock going live tomorrow morning. If you want to join us (last year there were 14 rogue bloggers in all) email me at [email protected] and we can chat. Tom Winnifrith Bearcast - update on my literary works, Tatnall clings on - time for a confirmatory people's vote at doomed Plutus?

Ahead of the start of my training for the 2020 Woodlarks walk on June 13 I appeal for volunteers – who will join me on this 34 mile trek? Then there is an update on my literary efforts. Then it seems asn if Nu-OG (NUOG) may be the third company dragged into the criminal activiuty on private chat-rooms scandal. Just how big is this? Then I turn to Plutus Powergen (PPG) where the useless and venal board survived a sack the board GM narrowly. I start and end with a request that each Bearcast listener backs the Woodlarks Christmas appeal. Even £2 each and we’d be there. So go on donate now HERE. Then it is onto reports that the stricken Woodford empire may be selling £500 million of healthcare stocks. But at what price? Then it is onto how Ed Croft of Stockopedia, the company that flagged up mega fraud Quindell as one of the top 10 AIM stocks to buy, is claiming to have “predicted” the  Neil Woodford scandal. Of course it did not but no doubt this persuades more folks to sign up to Ed’s flawed system.  Then I crow as I discuss Nanoco (NANO) which I called out as long ago as 2015 and discuss where next for Bahamas Petroleum (BPC) as its open offer flops.

Then I find I agree with David Lenigas on something: can life get any worse? I discuss Argo BlockChain (ARB), PureCircle (PURE), Cabot Energy (VAB), Watchstone (WTG) and Toople (TOOP). Tom Winnifrith: Just ten days to go, please please please sponsor Steve, Lucian, myself and nine others for Woodlarks

Woodlarks is an amazing but incredibly unfashionable charity. If you give £10,000 to an organisation like Guide Dogs for the Blind or the RSPCA it makes no difference. Give £100 to Woodlarks and it will help change a life. And that is why, in ten days time I shall be walking the 33 miles from Horse Hill to the Woodlarks camp site.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Oi Peterhouse you Vermin - acting for a man who jokes about my mother's suicide

In today’s bearcast I look at Neil Woodford’s latest woes, Afriag (AFRI) and the vermin like behaviour of its morally bankrupt advisor Peterhouse, Sabien (SNT), Argo Blockchain (ARB) – whose directors are also the sort of filth you scrape off your shoes  and 8 Peaks Group (8PG) (ditto).  After all of that I ask you to cosnider my weekend training walk HERE and in light of my entirely self inflicted suffering back the Rogue Bloggers for Woodlarks HERE

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Confessions of a non estate agent & is the Corbyn threat discounted?

Recorded in the sauna that is my car, this bearcast comes in two parts. First are we as investors hyet discounting the political risk that comes not from Brexit but from Corbyn and a coalition of chaos with the SNP for I do think that is the probable next Government. Secondly, confessions of a non estate agent, yes Purplebricks (PURP) again. Now how about the 75% of bearcast listeners yet to donate to rogue bloggers for Woodlarks chip in and take us over the half way mark today? You can do so HERE

Sorry, I know you thought Joshua was better than i was yesterday but it is just me today. Good news arrives in the post here at the Welsh Hovel. I shall be able to vote for Mr Farage in the European Elections and, better still, the Mrs won’t be able to vote for the commies. Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: a Missing cat and an attempt to shut down this website

It has not been a good day. Firstly the Mrs left a door not fully closed and two cats have become one, Quincey has gone AWOL. Then I had to watch a crazy cat woman Carole Cadwalladr video for the sake of Woodlarks. Finally we have suffered a DOS attack. Someone does not like our exposes of fraud and malpractice. We will not be silenced. As you consider my Cadwalladr suffering please donate to Rogue Bloggers for Woodlarks HERE. Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: an endearing tale about Brokerman Dan

I should say that the old rogue has been most helpful in starting to bring the Welsh Hovel back to life and I relay a take from Sunday. Inn just 26 days time he and I will be on the rogue bloggers for Woodlarks trek and, at the risk of repeating myself, to the 85% of bearcast listeners yet to donate, I WANT YOUR MONEY NOW!!! I gather Dan used to use that phrase quitye a bit in a professional capacity in days gone by. Anyhow please donate HERE. In the podcast I discuss Alien Metals (UFO), TrakM8 (TRAK), Optibiotix (OPTI), Yourgene (YGEN) and the scandal that is Ferro-Alloy Resources (FAR).

Richard Jennings is 100% right (on this) - sack the board at Argo Blockchain at the EGM

Richard Jennings is wrong about a good few things. Very wrong. But on certain matters (cats, Greece, donating money to Rogue Bloggers for Woodlarks) he cannot be faulted. And his logic in arguing to sack the board at Argo Blockchain (ARB) is 100% correct. We will be casting FIML votes in favour of the resolution to do so and we urge all others to do the same. The weather is atrocious but I shall plod on, heading back from the Bickerton Poacher, where I enjoy a brief rest, to the Welsh hovel. Because Woodlarks is a great cause. I look at Mirriad (MIRI) which needs to fess up as to how much cash has not yet been spunked, Rose Petroleum (ROSE) and insolvent Cabot (CAB) and the panic sells created by the demise of City Financial Investments, the bid for Independent Oil & Gas (IOG) and at Debenhams (DEB) where the worst is yet to come. Tom Winnifrith Bonus Bearcast: WH Ireland is a shit-show (as predicted) but this is an industry in crisis

In this bonus bearcast I comment on today's lack of profits warning from WH Ireland (WHI) and the bailout placing now underway which I had predicted. I look at WH Ireland and its woes but it is symptomatic of an industry in crisis. FinnCrap (FCAP) must warn sooner or later and most of the rest of the Nomad/brokers already have. What is needed is massive wage cuts across the board. Thankfully for supliers of coke and hookers, that will not happen which means a structural and cyclical crisis will claim more casualties soon. If you enjoyed this slating of the City's broken business model why not support the Rogue Bloggers for Woodlarks HERE.

Photo Article: Woodlarks Training Walk Number two - part 4, through the mud to the finish

Having got my sums wrong (again), I was delighted when, at last, the viaduct which takes the Bitton railway over the river Avon, came into sight. I was still six minutes ahead of the schedule I had set myself and so, if my new sums were right, would reach the finishing line, the pub at Hanham Weir, shortly before the Mrs and Joshua arrived at two thirty. So I walked down from the railway line towards the path by the river. Uh Oh...thick squelchy mud, I couldn'r go over it, I could go round it I had to go through it. Squelch, squerch, Apologies to the Bear Hunt for that.

In today's podcast I look at Rightmove (RMV), Cluff Natural Resources (CLNR), Red Emperor (RMP), Pantheon Resources (PANR), 88 Energy (88E) and Gear4Music (G4M). Now I want you to consider Jim Mellon. I am not always that kind to him but he has today pledged a material sum to sponsor the Rogue Bloggers walk for Woodlarks for which I thank him greatly. If Jim can do that so can you, I am sure all listeners can spare a tenner (or more) so please donate HERE

Photo Article: Woodlarks Training Walk Number two - part 3 on to Bitton

Refreshed by a cup of warm tea and a slice of banana bread at Lucian's breakfast cafe, the half way point of my 16 mile training walk, as I gear up for the 33 mile rogue bloggers for Woodlarks trek on May 25, I strode on, along the line of the old Bristol Bath railway line towards Bitton.

Photo Article: Woodlarks Training Walk Number 2 - the half way point reached - banana bread is my reward

Thanks to a little confusion on my part, which resulted in me wandering around the area close to Temple Meads for an extra half mile, the half way point on my second training walk for the 33 mile rogue bloggers for Woodlarks trek in May, was what I know as Lucian's breakfast joint.

Woodlarks Training walk Number 2 - 16 miles in rain wind and mud - Part 1

You know what fun I have with training walks. Getting wet. Getting lost. Scrambling up nettle infested steep hills as a result of getting lost. It is all part of the build up to May 25 and the 33 mile Rogue Bloggers for Woodlarks Charity walk. Today I have just finished my second serious training walk. After 11-12 miles to Swineford last Saturday , today I have just completed 16 miles. It would have been 15.5 but er...I got lost.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast Exclusive: twit James Hurley of The Times demands an apology for calling out his false claim - he can stick it where the sun don't shine

First of all. I deal with James Hurley who is obviously a pompous little prat and a total knobhead.  Then it is onto Neil Woodfotd where, belatedly, the deadwood press is waking up. I do the math on his remaining FTSE 100 holdings. I am a bit tired. having done a 16 mile training walk for Woodlarks in rain, wind and mud today so as you think of an exhausted 51 year old man slowly recovering please support the rogue bloggers for Woodlarks HERE

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Neil Woodford fools the morons on the deadwood press (again) and Malcolm's worst article yet

I am losing my voice and have had to postpone my training walk today. Tomorrow, come what may, I will do 15 miles. Think of an old and sick man, listen to my croaky voice and sponsor a rogue blogger for Woodlarks HERE. In today's podcast I look at how Neil Woodford has legged over the deadwood press yet again, at why i remain bearish on equities and at Malcolm's worst ever article, pure cobblers on Brexit and shares.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Susan Searle of WPCT J'accuse & Great Scott: Revolution Bars is enough to turn a man to drink

I suggest listening to my Neil Woodford scandal bonus bearcast first HERE but I have another bone to pick with Susan Searle, the chairman of Woodford Patient Capital Trust (WPCT) on how she has screwed investirs today. Then I look nat Red Emperor (RMP), 88 Energy (88E), Pantheon Resources (PANR) and at Cabot Energy (CAB). Finally a look at the latest woes at Revolution Bars (RBG) - you really would have thought that Britain's thirstiest share blogger would have nailed this as his specialist subject but it appears not. Tom Winnifrith Bonus Bearcast - today's shocking news from Neil Woodford keeps the FCA at bay ...for a while

Today we have news of a shocking transfer of unquoted crap from Woodford's flagship Equity Income Fund to Woodford Patient Capital Trust (WPCT). It may keep the FCA at bay on one point for a while but it is a joke that only serves to create fresh problems. And the RNS is misleading to boot on the issue of cash. Or lack of it. As I noted yesterday, the FCA would not tolerate this nonsense from any other fund manager but its pressure is forcing Nomates to act in an increasingly desperate manner. If you enjoyed this podcast please support the EIGHT rogue bloggers for Woodlarks with a small donation HERE

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: the FCA must be having kittens over Neil Woodford, if it was anyone else it would have moved in by now

I start today's podcast with an expansion on the themes in today's Tomograph, why I am so depressed about the currupt and rotten state of the West. I discuss Kenmare (KMR) and naked NEDs and then look at Neil Woodford with reference to today's IPO of Proton Partners (PPI). If this was any other fund manager the FCA would have moved in to replace him by now. If you enjoyed this podcast please support the EIGHT rogue bloggers for Woodlarks with a small donation HERE

Tom Winnifrith Bonus Bearcast: An official statement re Cheryl Cole and "imminent" action

Please remember that i do occassionally lapse into Parody thus while the first few minutes of this podcast concern the nation's sweetheart and most talented chanteuse, my real concern is the scandal at Blue Jay Mining (BYAY) unearthed by today's RNS. I cover the role of shamed promoter Old Mother Michael Walters, disgraced broker John Meyer of SP Angel of the Mysquar (MYSQ) fraud shame and of course the company itself. There should be a full investigation and heads need to roll after almost two and a half years of the market being misled. If you enjoyed this podcast please support the EIGHT rogue bloggers for Woodlarks with a small donation HERE

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Liars, damned liars and AIM CEOs

In this bearcast I comment on Bluejay Mining (JAY) although my main commentary on it is in a seperate podcast HERE, Metals Exploration (MTL), and Nostra Terra (NTOG). I look back on a few other fraud busting successes but view them as fairly irrelevant. I am more proud of my work for Woodlarks and, in that vein, again urge you to sponsor Rogue Bloggers for Woodlarks HERE.  I consider DeepMatter (DMTR), Audioboom (BOOM), Centamin (CEY), Yourgene (YGEN), Big Sofa (BST), I3 Energy (I3E) and Kavango (KAV)

On May 25 I shall again join the rogue bloggers (now a band of 8) walking 33 miles from Horse Hill to Woodlarks to raise money for this amazing charity. Are you free on May 25? Fancy a stroll for Woodlarks? Or can you spare a few quid?

In 2018 in the first Rogue Bloggers for Woodlarks 33 mile walk, myself, Brokerman Dan and Lucian Miers raised more than £25,000 (£32,000 with gift aid) for the amazing, if unfashionable, Woodlarks Charity which provides unique holidays for severely handicapped young people and adults. Without the Woodlarks camp very few of those folks would get a holiday at all.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: From 5.30 tonight think of me dear listeners as I undergo sheer torture

I start by explaining that torture and it involves sociology lecturers. I then move onto explaining why Roland "fatty" Cornish is the utterly unacceptable face of crony capitalism. Then moving from the undeserving rich to the needy,  I ask you to give a few quid to Woodlarks HERE. I then look at Frontera (FRR) where the silence is deafening, Amur (AMC), Audioboom (BUST), Angus Energy (ANGS), UK Oil & Gas (UKOG), F*ck Yu (YU.) and finally at Gulf Marine (GMS) which is about to discover that just because it is Christmas that won't stop the banksters being total bastards. There is no season of goodwill for that profession.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Are they all stark raving mad?

I start off with news from Woodlarks. Then I ask if shareholders in Frontera (FRR) are all stark raving mad in light of this and question why Alliance News appears complicit in market abuse. Then onto ASOS (ASC), Boohoo(BOO) and Sosandar (SOS). I explain why the three are trading differently and what the shocker from ASOS means for the wider stockmarket. Whole sectors are officially on the bargepole list (although Neil Woodford appears to disagree).

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast - who to blame for one of the worst IPOs of 2017 - Footasylum, and where next?

Firstly thank you if you have contributed to the Woodlarks Christmas Grotto appeal - we are now just £80 off the £2,500 target so if you can spare a fiver go HERE. In today's podcast I look at the benefits of aging and then at Footasylum (FOOT) in real detail after its latest abject results. Photo Article: Woodlarks Christmas Grotto appeal from Tom Winnifrith

Once again I ask you for a small Christmas donation for Woodlarks. Every year our hero Nick Richards (below) and a team of volunteers build a special Santa's grotto at the Woodlarks campsite. Last year we had over 200 children from special needs schools and children’s hospices visit the site for a great day out which culminated in each getting a present from Santa. we aim to do the same again (or more) in 2018. But, as you know, Woodlarks has very little cash and this costs about £2,500 to put on. So...

I have told that if needs be I will ask a friend to come out of retirement and rob a bank to ensure Woodlarks has the cash. But it would be better still if, as last year, readers made a small donation. I will keep asking until we hit the target so please help us to get there and donate now HERE

Gaudy Night looms – it sounds like murder

There is no actual murder in the Dorothy L Sayers novel, Gaudy Night. But as my old Oxford college prepares to throw a Gaudy, a black tie reunion dinner, for folks in my year and the two around it, the book springs to mind. It is, I think, now in Greece so perhaps a summer re-read is due. I am not saying that I would like to see any of my peers murdered, not even conspiracy obsessed loon Carole Cadwalladr.  It is just that I have no desire to see them – and I’d bet a fiver that the feeling is mutual.

Photo article: Horse Hill to Woodlarks: Brokerman Dan in underwear and the final stretch

The 33 mile walk from Horse Hill to Woodlarks was actually a bit longer for myself and super-fit Dan Levi, Brokerman Dan. At about fifteen miles Dan and Lucian Miers were striding ahead and myself and Andrew Bell were somewhat lagging. We came to a junction and the sign clearly said head left, downhill. Photo article - are you as tight-fisted and mean as a London tourist?

Pizza Hardman Darren Atwater, says that until last week it was happening, on average, 12 times a day. Tourists would wander past his, most excellent, Wedge Issue pizza joint on the Clerkenwell Road and just walk in asking if they could use its loos for free. Of course cleaning the bogs, providing loo paper etc means such a service is a cost for Darren with no revenue associated. So he put sign below up, with a jar with some coins in it behind....

Brokerman Dan has been replaced as the maps man on our Woodlarks Charity walk on Saturday. Perhaps we now know why in his former career he did not always get away. What better way to prepare for the Surrey hills than to walk up a Greek mountain in the burning summer heat? And so at 8.30 AM off I set....

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast - Its not that I don't believe Rob Proctor means what he says, but...

I am now back from my 12-14 mile walk of which the first six were solidly uphill. I shall post details of what happened on my own website but it was an adventure. Think of me trekking up the mountain road and please make a donation to Woodlarks ahead of my 32 mile walk with Dan in two weeks time. Donate here. In today's podcast I look in detail at Audioboom (BOOM) and its statement of yesterday. And I flag up some more red flags regarding Telit (TCM).

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Evil makes £25k betting AGAINST England, Telit - the numbers don't stack up

For reasons explained in the podcast my walk up into the mountains is postponed until Saturday. So the suffering is delayed. Don't delay with a donation to Woodlarks HERE. In the bearcast itself I look at Evil Knievil's World Cup gambles and who he is backing in the final, at a potentially horrid spat at Bacanora (BCN) which looks set to get very nasty indeed, into murky share deals at Cabot Energy (CAB) - a massive scandal in the making and in real detail at the Telit (TCM) disposal announced today. The numbers just do not stack up.

Sweating for Woodlarks – Mad Dogs and all that, strolling in Greece

I have not kept up to date with my training for about a week and am conscious that my 32 mile charity walk for Woodlarks is now not that far away – July 28. I meant to have a quick six mile practice stroll along the coastal road out of Kalamata yesterday afternoon but IT snags caused a postponement. And so I headed off at noon today in the mid-day sun. I think it was about 34 degrees.

RogueBloggers4Woodlarks in Manchester Slums caption Contest Result

As you may know I showed extreme bravery in meeting Brokerman Dan on his home patch, in the Manchester Slums, last weekend. For that alone you should sponsor me ahead of my 32 mile walk for Woodlarks with Dan on July 28. We are now over 65% of the way to our £20,000 target. If you have not yet donated please do so HERE. The Manchester summit was captured on film as you can see below and I asked you for captions for the photo -  many were supplied.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast - Breaking news on the MySquar fraudsters

I shall soon be on my first training walk in the 34 degree Greek heat. This is just a short five miler but on Friday I plan a 12 mile plus stroll of which the first five miles is solidly uphill. For that surely you can donate a tenner to the Woodlarks charity walk appeal HERE. In today's bearcast I look at MySquar (FRAUD) where I have breaking news, Audioboom (BOOM), Johnston Press (JPR), Safestyle (SFE), Telit (TCM), Conroy Gold (CGNR) and Indivior (INDV).

Rogue Bloggers for Woodlarks visit Manchester slums - caption contest (deadline midnight)

Tomograph readers will know that I ventured to the grim north over the weekend to the slums of Manchester and there I met up with Brokerman Dan. Surely my bravery in heading to the post industrial welfare safari deserves some reward. My next meeting with Dan will be on July 28 as we walk 32 miles for Woodlarks. Sponsorship, to date, now tops £13,000 (£15,500 with gift aid). Thanks to those who have donated already, to those who have not I am sure you can spare a tenner HERE. Meanwhile Dan is the shorter one on the left, dressed like he's just left the Pride march. How about a caption contest? Do you worst in the comments section below - deadline Tuesday midnight.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Putting on a smart shirt as the van speeds away

As you can see HERE, I have spent the morning loading a white van as boxes of my stuff heads out to the Greek Hovel which might just have a roof by the weekend! Yesterday i was in Manchester and braving its slums albeit with Brokerman Dan providing security was heroic. For that, if not for the planned 32 mile walk with Dan how about you give a tenner to Woodlarks HERE. On the podcast I cover Optibiotix (OPTI), another victim of Julie "lingerie on expenses" Meyer MBE on the phone, Stobart (STOB), FairFx (FFX), Mothercare (MTC) and - with not too much sniggering  - the flop at me-too Viagra play N4 Pharma (N4P)

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast - in defence of KPMG (well sort of)

I start by looking back to where I watch the World Cup Final 4 years ago and where I will be watching the semi on Wednesday. When you have finished donating a tenner to Woodlarks HERE, this podcast covers the current scandal surrounding the big 4 and KPMG in particular. Sam Antar used KPMG in his 18 year fraud but is it fair to pick on one firm? Is the system inherently flawed? What would I do to make things better?

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast - patriotism is the last refuge of the scoundrel (including Daily Mail journalists)

You don't care what I say today, all you care about is the football. Indeed: come on Eng-er-land. I reflect briefly on the soccer, then cover Mrs May's Brexit sell out, why I'm not voting for the party of the useless and treacherous old hag again, and finally discuss the idea that British companies should not be bought by "dirty foreigner", ref Inmarsat (ISAT). I cover Optibiotix (OPTI) en passant and am glad that thanks to the incredible generosity of Nick Leslau, myself and Brokerman Dan have now raised £13,000 - 65% of our target - for Woodlarks ahead of the 28 July charity walk. Check Nick's donation and perhaps give a tenner yourself HERE

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: from (Audio) Boom to Bust by Q1 next year? And the mystery Optibiotix bull unmasked

Bearcasts may be sporadic over the next few days as I explain. By Wednesday I shall be mountain walking in Greece for my Woodlarks training. Think of me with the snakes and in 35 degree heat and donate HERE. Today I look at Optibiotix (OPTI), Audioboom (BOOM), Andalas (ADL), Frontera (FRR), Boxhill (BOX) and KPMG and in some detail at Jim Mellon's failing gold play Condor Gold (CNR).

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: time for Cabot, Fishing Republic & Frontera to 'fess up!

The great news is that our Woodlarks walk has now reached 57% of its sponsorship target. I'll do another training walk this afternoon with Joshua so as we do a quick march how about you check out the latest incredibly generous donations here and chip in yourself? In a long bearcast I cover Tesla (US:TSLA), Fishing Republic (FISH), Kibo (KIBO), UK Oil & Gas (UKOG) as lyin' Steve does the right thing - Frontera (FRR), Conroy Gold (CGNR), TrakM8 (TRAK), Avanti (AVN) and Cabot Energy (CAB). PS Wasn't the football incredibly exciting and a source of such joy? I view myself as British, not English but go on Eng-er-land!

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Supplying the IDF means Versarien can do no wrong in my view but...

I am now fully recovered from yesterday's 27 mile training trek in the 30 degree heat - something I describe in full HERE. If you don't like me or the Israeli army or Versarien (VRS) and enjoy my suffering please donate to the Woodlarks charity walk on July 28 - we are now just £31 from 50% of our target fund raise. Be generous HERE. On the podcast today I look at Versarien, UK Oil & Gas (UKOG) where Lucian Miers is taking one hell of a beating from big Dave Lenigas, MySquar (FRAUD) - 7 days to courtroom drama - 88 Energy (88E) - you were warned - Mosman (MSMN)  and Frontera (FRR). I also look at new leverage limits on spread betting coming in on 29 July and what that means in nanny state Europe and the UK.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: after 27 fecking miles in the sun I must have sun stroke - defending a PR firm ( St Brides) & also Jim Mellon

I feel like shite, hence the late bearcast. I managed it! 27 miles in the heat today has taken its toll. I am in real pain in all sorts of places. Enjoy that pain TW haters, revel in it and make a donation HERE I could have walked 32 miles today but did not - that treat awaits me and Brokerman Dan on July 28. He is training hard too. Enjoy his pain and please donate HERE. In the podcast I pass on market intelligence on Optibiotix (OPTI), discuss Cynical's massive expose on Kibo (KIBO) HERE and then leap to the defence of both a PR firm and the asset stripper Jim Mellon. It must be the sun...

27 miles in up to 31 degree heat – yesterday’s practice trek for Woodlarks.

It is now less than four weeks until myself and Brokerman Dan try to walk from Horse Hill to Woodlarks to raise money for this charity which I have backed for 16 years and which does amazing work as you can see HERE.  Dan is far fitter than I am and sent late night texts on Friday saying that he had  managed a 21 mile walk but was a wreck and needed a lighter rucksack. I know it is hot up in Manchester what with all those fires on the Moors but I think he is kidding me. It is all psychology. My plan was to do 26 miles on Sunday.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Radio 4 misguided, ShareSoc Pompous & wrong, Amigo revolting

Tomorrow is my longest training walk yet for the Woodlarks 32 mile charity walk with Brokerman Dan. I plan to set off at 5 AM on a 26 mile trek. Think of my utter pain in this awful heat and please give £10 to a great cause HERE. I then look at the recent Radio 4 programme on shorting which was sprinkled with pompous and half-witted comments from ShareSoc. They are naive and have it all wrong and I explain why. Then I look at whether share dealing should be ethical - ref Dave Lenigas  and his ramping of UK Oil & Gas (UKOG)  - should we all get on board? Finally I look at the IPO of Amigo which I find revolting at every level.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: happy birthday Olaf although I know you will not be listening

I start by wishing my daughter Olaf a happy 17th although she will not be listening and indeed wants me to retire so I stop embarrassing her by expressing my support for Trump, reservations about abortion or other crimes against the new world of 2018. It was Olaf's birth all those year ago at 1lb 4oz that got me involved with Woodlarks as I explain. This weekend my training walk will be 26 miles in this scorching heat. Think of me and if Olaf can spare a tenner so can you - donate HERE. In the podcast I explain why Julie Meyer must be stopped it is not just investors that need protecting. I cover FastJet (FJET), Action Hotels (ACHG), Akers Biosciences (AKR), Management Consulting (MMC), UK Oil & Gas (UKOG), Angus Energy (ANGS) and Amur Minerals (AMC).

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast - talking to one of the 3 X's for almost an hour

The 3Xs are the fraudbusters best friends. In this case it was one of Julie Meyer's 3Xs and a new source. we chatted for just under an hour. More to follow. Oh dear, poor Ms Lingerie on Expenses MBE. In the podcast I look at UK Oil & Gas (UKOG), Purplebricks (PURP), Frontera (FRR), FastJet (FJET), MySquar (MYSQ) - where I have again contacted John Meyer urging him to get off his fat arse - Andalas (ADL) and Magnolia Petroleum (MAGP). The good news is that sponsorship of the walk I'm doing with Brokerman Dan for Woodlarks is now, with gift aid, at almost £11,000. I explain here why this walk makes the difference bewteen Woodlarks having to cut services or carry on, please do give a tenner today.  Think of my pain - not least in having to hear Dan talk total bollocks about Andalas for whole day - and COUGH UP HERE.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Sorry I made a mistake yesterday

The mistake in yesterday's podcast was on Telit (TCM). In fact it is even worse than I thought! The good news is that sponsorship of the walk I'm doing with Brokerman Dan for Woodlarks has now topped £9,000. I explain here why this walk makes the difference bewteen Woodlarks having to cut services or carry on, please do give a tenner today. This afternoon sees Joshua and I on another training walk, my second in two days. Think of my pain and COUGH UP HERE. In a long bearcast I predict that, after today's shocking news, FastJet (FJET) will be sold for £1 and explain why. I look at Havelock Europa (HVE), 88 Energy (88E), Lyin' Steve Sanderson's UK Oil & Gas (UKOG), Frontera (FRR), Andalas (DOG), Mysquar (FRAUD) and Audioboom (BOOM).

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: what is loathsome ex Tory MP Tony "Fatso" Baldry of 3DM infamy really saying

In this podcast I reflect on how the UK is going to the dogs commenting on South West trains and the award of the Orwell prize to a proven specialist in fake news. George will be laughing in his grave. I cover boardroom shenanigans at Telit (TCM), shameless ramping at Andalas (ADL) which is really worth 0p, Frontera (FRR), D day looms, Westminster Group (WSG) and the ambiguity of loathsome ex Tory MP Tony "Fatso" Baldry of 3DM infamy, Rossylyn Data (RDT), Dillstone (DSG), Cluff Natural Resources (CNR) and its pomopus arse of a founder and Optibiotix (OPTI). now I see that evil PR spinner and crony capitalist Reg Hoare has donated to Woodlarks in support of the my sponsored walk with Brokerman Dan. we are now just £31 short of £9,000 and 45% of our target - go on, do the decent thing and chip in HERE

19 Mile Training walk for Woodlarks, another disaster: poor Lucian Miers

In the build up to my 32 mile charity walk for Woodlarks on July 28, I planned to build on last week’s 15 miler stroll with 19 miles and it all started so well. My pal Lucian Miers drove over from Winchester first thing and at 8 AM we started walking from just near Bristol Temple Meads. According to my calculations the Bath Bristol Railway path was 13 miles and Bath to the Hop Pole Inn on the other side was 6 miles largely along the Kennet & Avon Canal.

I look at Audioboom (BOOM), Frontera (FRR), Woodford Patient Capital Trust (WPCT), Prime People (PRP) and 88 Energy (88E). Tomorrow I will be bored to death by Lucian Miers, he will drone on about West Ham for 6 hours as we complete a 19 mile training walk from Bristol along the Avon to a few miles past Bath. I am building up to my 32 mile walk for Woodlarks with Brokerman Dan on 28 July. Think of my suffering tomorrow and please donate a small sum HERE.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: naughty, naughty Jim Mellon, I WAS watching at no-one is watching O'clock

I start with the announcement late last night from FastFoward Innovations (FFWD) the overvalued investment company run by my good friend the offshore based asset stripper Mr Jim Mellon. I move on to the FRC dealing with Russell McBurnie the disgraced ex FD of RSM Tenon and discuss book cookers, fraudsters. Sam Antar theories and crime and punishment generally. I look at Akers Biosciences (AKR) where book cooking ahead of a placing is alleged, at Zenith (ZEN) and at LPA (LPA) where i would not bottom fish after today's warning for a variety of reasons. Then I note MySquar (FRAUD) is down to 1.15p and I ask John Meyer of SP Angel once more if he will act or is he happy to wash his hands and turn a blind eye to crime. Tonight is a 6 mile training walk and Joshua and I will do two miles this morning. With Gift aid my charity walk on July 28 has now raised almost £10,000. I explain exactly what that means to Woodlarks. If you have not donated, please chip in now with a tenner to get us over £10,000 HERE

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast - Time to be nice to Paul Scott but John Meyer needs to listen hard about MySquar & get off his arse

Okay despite all the harsh ( but arguably fair) things I have said about him, thirsty Paul Scott has just donated £50 to the Woodlarks sponsored walk charity appeal so I am going to be nice about him for a while unless he has a twitter meltdown. Chaka Khan. Chaka Khan. Cheeese. Anyhow surely you can follow Paul, watch this video HERE to see the great works Woodlarks does then donate a few quid HERE. In the podcast I take MySquar (MYSQ) apart, John Meyer at SP Angel needs to wake up, listen and get off his arse. I also look at Frontera (FRR) - bailout placing at 0.3p? - IDOX (IDOX) and Herencia (GER)

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Despite being a staunch feminist, I reckon the birds who run FootAsylum must be fired NOW!

I explain why the FD and CEO of FootAsylum (FOOT) must be fired at once after today's profits warning. I forgot to say that any company holding and announcing an "analyst teach in" - as Rob Terry used to do - is almost an automatic sell in my book and FootAsylum is an offender in this respect. I also look at FastForward (FFWD) and explain why I think Jim Mellon has sinned, albeit legally. I cover UK Oil & Gas (UKOG), Andalas (ADL) and McCarthy & Stone (MCS). In terms of the walk we are now well over £9,000 with gift aid and ahead of a training walk in the rain tonight I ask again. Most bearcast listeners are enjoying my suffering but are yet to help Woodlarks with a donation. Please, I am sure you can spare a tenner HERE

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: So just why were Bush & Morgan fired by Cabot? I think I have the answer to that $16.5m question!

I am still recovering from yesterday's 14 mile training walk for the Woodlarks 32 mile charity walk. Yesterday's trip did not go quite to plan and ended up being a tad longer than expected. I explain all HERE. If you enjoy my suffering I shall do a 20 mile walk next weekend so how about you spare a tenner and sponsor me HERE. In the podcast I ask very hard questions about the sacking of the CEO and FD at Cabot Energy (CAB), formerly Northern Petroleum. I think I know why the P45s and black bags were handed out but Cabot must come clean NOW. Same Nomad, different dog, more questions - MySquar (FRAUD). Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Almost feeling sorry for Lyin' Steve Sanderson at UK Oil & Gas - placing at as low as 0.5p?

My planned 7.5 mile training walk (pushing Joshua) today became 10 miles as I explain HERE. Think about my poor sore feet and aching legs and if you have not yet donated a tenner to the Woodlarks appeal please do so HERE. In the podcast I explain why the fraud MySquar (MYSQ)  and UK Oil & Gas (UKOG) face the same predicament and that is why the latter may well place at as low as 0.5p next week. I then look again at the tweets of David Lenigas last Thursday - HERE - surely there is something very wrong in this matter.

My 7.5 mile training walk for Woodlarks today became a 10 mile shocker - blame cousin Johnny

My Woodlarks charity walk training plan for today was simple. My training path is the 2.5 miles path along the River Avon between Conham Hill car park and the Chequer's pub. It is a splendid walk which on Tuesday I did alone both ways (5 miles) and on Thursday I also did both ways but with Joshua in his buggy. Joshua and I saw ducks, swans, a train on the hill, all sorts of boats, a heron, blossom, a horse, it was great fun.

The hypocrites celebrate referenda, the Irish celebrate murder

On Friday, the Irish voted to legalize abortion at up to 12 weeks. It is now Sunday and the BBC - my only English language TV here in Greece - is still covering this story with a manic obsession. "What a modern nation Ireland has become: a gay PM, abortion on demand, the Church in tatters, cue picture of joyous crowds." Okay, it does not mention its joy at the collapse of the Irish church but it makes its views clear with pictures of nuns scuttling away from polling stations looking miserable.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast - the difference between private company and PLC account preparing - profit is a matter of opinion!

I start by noting I have received a begging email from Primary Bid re the Merio offer. Cynical Bear is right - avoid like the plague! Then as I finalise annual accounts for companies house for FIML and ShareProphets (loss in both cases) I explain the different motives of those preparing private company and listed company accounts and some tricks I could have used to show profits. But why would I have done that? Finally...98% of bearcast listeners  have NOT yet sponsored myself and Brokerman Dan for our 30 mile Woodlarks walk. If you enjoy bearcast I am sure you can spare a tenner so donate HERE  - to those who have donated I say thank you.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast - it is Ouzo O'Clock! Folli Follie suspended

Hooray. After this week's doorstepping and podcast special and the work back in Bristol this is a great day. I suspect it is game over and discuss the probable demise of Folli Follie. Never buy a stock on a PE of 1. Elsewhere I look at rumours concerning Nomad Northland, at Echo Energy (ECHO), the fraud MySquar (MYSQ), my letter to Julie Meyer HERE, Sound Energy (SOU), Westminster Group (WSG) - with its revolting chairman ex Tory MP Tony Baldry - and Frontera (FRR) and its latest pre placing ramp. Now come on chaps, if you enjoy bearcast - and I know 1000 of you do every day - please donate £10 NOW to the Woodlarks charity walk - HERE

A Letter to Julie Meyer - how do you fancy a long walk with a convicted felon?

A reader says that if I invite Julie Meyer MBE to join myself and Brokerman Dan Levi on our sponsored 30 mile walk for Woodlarks on July 28 he will donate £400, if she turns up he will donate an additional £600. Why not? I am sure that Brokerman Dan would be happy to share some of his past experiences with her and that might prep Ms Meyer for her life going forward. The letter is below. Now how about you all donate a tenner each HERE.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast - the good news is that another trove of Julie Meyer documents has arrived at Winnileaks

Oh well that will keep me happy for the next few days. What fun. Before I go on, more than 1000 folks will listen to this bearcast. I know you can all afford to donate £10 to Woodlarks for my sponsored walk - please do so HERE and NOW otherwise I shall have to keep reminding you every day up until 28 July! On today's podcast I discuss Ms Lingerie on Expenses and the UK honours system, Magnolia Petroleum (MAGP), Optibiotix (OPTI), Paternoster Resources (PRS), Physiomics (PYS), Brave Bison (BBSN) and Paternoster Resources (PRS), home to Amanda Van Dyke.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Reflections on a dying industry. My own!

I start with confirmation that Brokerman Dan and I really are doing a Horse Hill to Woodlarks charity walk on 28 July. Are you free and would you like to walk too? If not just give us your cash ( as Dan used to say in different circumstances in the old days). More details here I then comment on the latest year on year newspaper circulation stats (below) - what is happening, why and what it means.

Tom Winnifrith: Will you Support my daughter Olaf as she swims 5 kilometres up the river Dart

Those of you in the Woodford session at UK Investor Show may have noticed that when coming off stage I was greeted not only by the Mrs and Joshua but by a very pretty teenage girl who was chatting to Mark Slater and Nigel Wray. That is my Welsh Nationalist daughter Olaf who is the reason Nigel and I have been involved with Woodlarks for so long.

David Scott's Guide to giving to charities in a tax efficient manner

Okay so you may up paying for some Guardian reader to use under-age hookers in the third world but some charities really are the good guys and those tend to be the ones starved of resources. At UK Investor Show this year we will again be flagging up the excellent work of the charity I support, Woodlarks, which is very much worthy of your support. So if he are going to back a charity, how to do it in a tax efficient manner. Over to David Scott of Andrews Gwynne for this handy guide.

Tom Winnifrith video - 2 share tips & some great scenery at the Greek Hovel

I was originally meant to present this at an evening organised by brokers Turner Pope. But the compliance officer kicked off in an episode which fills me with despair so Turner Pope said put the video up on ShareProphets and we will give your speaker fee to Woodlarks anyway as it is a good cause. Good chaps. Seriously, TP get to do some good placings, notably of late Sosandar (SOS) where it was almost impossible to get stock anywhere else, So you should have an account with them just in case - you can call them on 0203 621 4121 to get the forms.  Now to the video...enjoy.

Tom Winnifrith Christmas share tips, free booze, mince pies, 4 companies - December 4

Actually I am in Greece on December 4 or at least on my way home after the olive harvest. But, in return for a small donation to Woodlarks, I have agreed to record a video from the Greek Hovel with a few market thoughts and a couple of share tips for Christmas.

Don't Give to #ChildreninNeed - give it to a real charity instead

The loathsome, state funded, fake news producing, BBC will tonight tell you that “all your donation will go to Children in Need.” They will not tell you that "all your donations go to children in need." Do you get the difference? It is c£8 million quid of difference.

Christmas Appeal - the Woodlarks Christmas Grotto

This is the time olf year when I ask you to consider making a small donation to ensure that folks far less fortunate than we all are enjoy some real joy this Christmas. Woodlarks is a charity with whom I have worked for years. It provides a one-off service: full holiday acccomodation for those so severely disabled that they would otherwise not get such a break.

Podcast: Tom Winnifrith reads The Gruffalo in Shetlandese for Woodlarks

Anyone with kids will know the classic tale The Gruffalo. One godfather of my baby son Joshua recently worked in the Shetland Islands so gave him a copy of the book in Shetlandese. I was reading that to Joshua, the other day, when a mining fellow called Paul Johnson rang and Paul said that if I recorded a podcast of the Gruffalo in Shetlandese then he would donate £100 to my favourite charity Woodlarks, which I have been supporting for more than a decade and a half. I know that I will sound like a total prat and my apologies go out to Gruffalo author Julia Donaldson and to the entire population of the Shetland Isles but it is for a good cause. If you appreciate this exercise in self-humiliation and wish to make a small donation to a good cause go to the Woodlarks website HERE

Photo article: Visiting Woodlarks seeing where readers money is transforming lives

On my way to Heathrow I stopped off at the Woodlarks campsite in Surrey a place where I have had an involvement since the birth of my daughter Olaf almost sixteen years ago, as I explained HERE. This site provides holidays for folks who are severely disabled and who would otherwise not get any sort of break. It is not a fashionable charity but it is one I have supported financially and which readers have supported over many years. To all those who have donated both to the Christmas festivities for 181 kids and also to the ongoing work here is the proof that your cash has made a difference.

Proud Dad - Daughter "Olaf" wins academic scholarship

Those who have been reading my scribblings for long enough will remember that my daughter was born weighing just 1lb 4oz at 26 weeks. that was almost sixteen years ago. It was three months before UCH said that it was "when" she came home not "if" and even then we were warned there could be all sorts of problems.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Is Mosman Oil & Gas the worst run shitty little AIM oil company?

I must rush. Woodlarks beckons and then it is Greece. But first I look at: Advanced Oncotherapy (AVO) in light of last night's bombshell HERE, TrakM8 (TRAK ) - chatting to Paul Scott - Pantheon Resources (PANR), Bushveld Minerals (BMN), FastForward (FFWD), Jim Mellon's reported comments and Mosman oil & Gas (MSMN).

READ THIS NOW: Give Woodlarks a few quid today to transform someone's Christmas

If you read nothing else on this fine website this year please read this article. Woodlarks is a charity I have backed for years since its amazing driving force Nick Richards contacted me 15 years ago. It is a totally unfashionable charity not a well funded luvvie endorsed body. We have just donated £250 to transform someone's Christmas at Woodlarks. Can you spare a few quid?

Tangiers Petroleum – An Apology from me, Questions and Condemnation

James Parter revealed some quite disgraceful ramping of shares in Tangiers Petroleum (TPET) yesterday. His analysis was superb and shows why an Australian website was publishing plain untruths about this dual listed company. I suggest reading his article here.

That website then garnered publicity for its shit analysis by paying various UK website owners so send out a promotional mailing. Websites like this, ADVFN, etc are free to access and we therefore run a business model based on allowing financial services companies to send mailings to your mailing list. You know we have to pay our writers somehow!

I am embarrassed to say that OneFreeShareTip – an excellent website we run in partnership with ADVFN ran this mailing. The mailing was sold by the team at ADVFN and we have discussed the matter and they will not be selling to this client again for OFSTD. That is an honourable call by them and the right thing to do. But for what happened I apologise most sincerely. Anyone can offer words as an apology but although it was nothing to do with me, I want to show that I mean it.

I do not wish to make a cent out of this episode as I regard it as an unethical aspect of crony capitalism and so the portion of that sale which RMPC earned will be donated to the excellent Woodlarks charity.

Next we come to the Australian web site company

Can you spare £5 a month for Woodlarks – YES you can!

The only charity I support (it is a long story) is Woodlarks. It is an amazing organisation which provides severely handicapped folks with probably their only opportunity to enjoy a holiday each year. This is not a fluffy kitten fashionable charity. Keeping it going is hard work and the team at Woodlarks are all total heroes.

Now I ask can you spare £5 a month? Or even £10 a month?  I shall keep asking until I find enough people who say yes. Woodlarks has a special swimming pool for its campers which needs to be very well heated and that costs money. £15,000 a year.

And so it has launched an appeal asking those who can afford £5 a month or even £10 a month to make out a standing order to keep the pool heated and going.

I will kick this off with a £10 a month pledge. If 124 others make the same pledge then I shall stop banging on about this. Until then, I shall not let up.

Please help, this is not a fashionable charity or one with celebs backing it. If you can spare £5 or even £10 a month make the Woodlarks pledge now.

You can download a form here

My Christmas ETX Spreadbetting Challenge with Steve Moore – Trade 6 (Range Resources)

Do I think Range Resources (RRL) is overvalued ? Yes. Where are the shares going short term? I am not sure.

Not only are the markets in a fizzy mood making any short dangerous but from what I gather the company might just announce that it is ready to expand its Trinidad operations thanks to a new loan facility and/or it might actually sell its US assets. Either could see the shares spike short term.

Both are ifs not whens and I would certainly not regard this stock as cheap. But I am ahead on this short trade and so why not bank a gain. I am buying back Range to close at 1.356 and so have netted a massive profit of £2.32 on this trade.

That will assist me slight in my little pre-Christmas contest with Steve Moore. Whoever makes the most/loses the least will not send a cheque for £50 to Woodlarks. Any profits either of us make will also go to Woodlarks.

If you want to trade small caps like Range most spreadbetting firms won’t let you do it. ETX will. That is why we have partnered up with them.

If you open an account with them before Friday you will get a free £500 to trade with. You can open that account HERE

The First Trade in my Christmas ETX SpreadBet Challenge – buy @UK

Well here goes…I have never done a spread bet in my life until just now. I am challenging Steve Moore to a trading challenge to run until Christmas. And I am now underway.

We have both opened accounts with ETX and been given £50 to trade small cap shares. If we were to trade Forex or indices we could get another £450 free. This is not a special deal for us you too can get your free trades with ETX starting right now.

All you need to do to trade is to open an account which you can do in minutes – CLICK HERE

My first trade ( using my free £50) was to buy @UK (ATUK) at just over 55p with a 48p stop loss. The Closet Chartist says that the stock is heading to 80p, I like the management – having backed them at c5p a few years ago – and I hope this is a winner.

Any profits that I make on my Christmas trading challenge will go to the Woodlarks charity.

You can start spreadbetting small caps with ETX right now HERE

Open your spreadbetting account with our partner ETX ( as I have done) and get up to £500 free – offer ends November 30th

We are approached by all sorts of spread-betting firms to partner up with them. After one not so great experience I am very picky about who we deal with. And so I am delighted to say that we have kissed the frogs and without reservation teamed up with ETX.

I have opened an account ( for a Christmas trading challenge with Steve Moore) and you too can do so here

Teaming up with Spreadbetter ETX & I open my account for a Christmas challenge

We are approached by all sorts of spread-betting firms to partner up with them. After one not so great experience I am very picky about who we deal with. And so I am delighted to say that we have kissed the frogs and without reservation teamed up with ETX.

I have opened an account ( for a Christmas trading challenge with Steve Moore) and you too can do so here

Shareprophets will earn a small percentage of the spread each time you deal with an ETX account opened here so I hope that you do open such an account.

It was pretty much the same deal on offer across the board so why did we pick ETX?

1. They will allow you to spreadbet all the normal bets ( indices, forex, blue-chips, commodities) but almost uniquely they will also allow you to place a bet ( long or short) on small caps with a market cap of as little as £10 million. So you can short like Evil in a way you could not before but also0 place leveraged buy bets on the long tack.

2. ETX is a long established and pukkha firm which won’t be disappearing overnight like some newbies in this market. They are good guys.

3. You get a bonus of up to £500 for just opening an account. Can’t say fairer than that.

I will start my Christmas trading challenge with Steve (any profits we make on that will go to the Woodlarks charity) next week.  Spreadbetting is not suitable for everyone, your leverage means that losses are in theory unlimited.

But if you fancy a free bonus for signing up and want to spreadbet small caps I hope that you open an account HERE

Another letter to Sefton boss Jim Ellerton with 5 more questions

On Thursday I sent a letter by email to Sefton Resources (SER) boss Jim Ellerton asking him to apologise to me for his company's smear campaign against me and to make a small personal donation to the excellent Woodlarks Charity. I have yet to gain a reply or even an acknowledgement. As such I have sent a second letter and at the same time ask a couple more questions which either Sefton has neglected to answer or I have neglected to ask.

This letter is sent via Sefton’s lawyers at Pinsent Masons since I do not know whether Jim is currently in residence at his multi-million dollar Hawaii mansion or is in London, maximising shareholder value.

5 Pointers to Planning to grow your business in 2013 - No Innovation wanted

Like all businessmen I am sitting down reviewing the year just ended and working out how 2013 will be different. Under my direct control my restaurant (the excellent Real Man Pizza Company in Clerkenwell) has moved from loss into profit. It has missed its budget but still that is a starter. Not quite as good as our Manx kipper pate starter but still good enough. But next year will have to be better. And so I will work with my colleagues to ensure that it is. We plan. We think of changes. But if I am reading the thousands of business articles that are published every week, we are missing something in not looking to engage in dramatic innovation. This is deliberate.

Yes there will be some innovation. We introduced a couple of new soups onto the menu just before Christmas and also a new egg vegetarian pizza – the Woodlarks pizza. I will be introducing two new pizza dishes with the next menu in the summer and a new pudding dish as well. And as of Januaary we move to stocking just one range of beers, the award winning Curious Range made on a vineyard in Kent. But this is evolution not innovation. A company always needs to refresh and broaden its product offering – that should be a constant process. Innovation is taken to mean wholesale changes to the way one operates.

Innovation is by its nature disruptive and you need to ask yourself can your business cope with wholesale disruption in what will be a tough year for us all. In most cases I suspect that the answer is no.

Olivia is 11 – A very Proud father writes..

This is my personal blog and so if only one person reads this article (that being Olivia) I care little. But my daughter is 11 today, I am miles and miles away and I am terribly proud of her. She was a “miracle baby” in that she survived at all and although divorce has limited my contact with her there is not a day that goes by when I do not think of her, revel in her achievements and look forward to the next gripping instalment of her life.

Olaf was born a year into the life of t1ps.com.
