Photo article from the Welsh Hovel - Damson vodka crumble

As I am on the Lucian Miers diet I cannot drink anything from the two bottles of damson vodka I decanted the other day. But I had a brief break in the diet, as I plan to step up the excercise part of it next week, as you can see below.

First to the exercise. At the weekend I walk of a couple of miles each day with Jaya on my back or do a good stretch in the garden.Or both. In the week I walk to pick her up from nursery so that is a 2mile round trip each day with a push chair. But as of next week I shall be doing two five mile walks with Jaya on my back as I start to pick up my training for the 2022 Rogue Bloggers for Woodlarks walk in June.

We already have a few volunteers to join myself, Lucian Miers and Euro Loon Jonathan Price on the 34 miles from Winchester Cathedral to Woodlarks. Indeed Fleet Street legend Brian Basham, now almost 80, now says that he is almost certainly up for it once again. So if you are interested in joining us, drop me an email.

Back to food. I pitted the damsons and then put them in a crumble with oats added to the topping. After four months soaking in vodka, this pudding tasted great but has quite a kick!
