For the second year on the trot, the Woodlarks camp for the disabled cannot run low cost unique holiday camps for folks who would otherwise, almost certainly not get a holiday. This unfashionable charity is another victim of lockdown and so now needs £48,000 to ensure it survives iunto 2022 when we hope it can re-open. So for the 4th year the Rogue Bloggers will be walking and begging!

This year, our fourth, we go the extra mile, 34 not 33, as the route changes. We will start in Winchester and end up at Woodlarks on May 29 sometime late in the evening. There will be more than ten of us walking although an injury to Dan Levi means that of the original three rogue bloggers just two, myself and Lucian Miers, will be marching.

My longest training walk to date is 20 miles, this weekend I shall aim to do 23 along the banks of the River Dee heading towards Chester, and back.

So far, we have raised, with gift aid, just under £13,000. Can you help us get just a little bit closer? Woodlarks needs folks to donate more than ever this year, so please do so HERE.

In advance the rogue bloggers and Woodlarks thanks you for your generosity.

If you enjoyed reading this article from Tom Winnifrith, why not help us cover our running costs with a donation?
