AIM loses c5% of its value at a stroke with 2 more very big name departures

According to the LSE the 559 companies on the AIM Casino, the self styled world’s most successful growth market, have a combined market cap of c#42 billion. Well up to a point. The past 2 days have seen two of the largest companies announce they are off to the Main Market this year.

Because what you really care about when picking a stockbroker is their skin colour and who they are shagging?

My broker is white and straight. But that is not why I picked him it is because he is competent and offers a cracking service. But in these days of diversity and inclusion, PIMFA the trade body for brokers and wealth managers, says that is just not good enough. Its awards time.

The Financial Services Industry celebrates diversity – where are the customers black tie awards ceremonies?

You want your broker to be good at his or her job and to be judged accordingly. You are so much of a bloody dinosaur. This is 2023 FFS. PIMFA the trade body for financial services has announced the short list for its 2023 Diversity & Inclusion Awards. You and I know that this bollocks adds to the cost base of member firms which you and I, the customer, ends up paying for. As for the black tie awards ceremony… in the end you know who is paying for that too, don’t you?

Brokerman Dan literally robbed in new ADVFN awards - surely he had a hat-trick in the bank?

ADVFN (AFN) has today published its list of big advertisers on its website, oops I meant to say its awards for outstanding contributions to financial services. As ever I take the list of winners with the gravity that is merited. They really are the cornerstone of the financial calendar these days. But one fact screams out at me: BrokerMan Dan Levi was on a hat-trick as share blogger of the year - surely he had the title in the bank. But he's been robbed.
