Tom Winnifrith Bearcast No 2: picking a fight with Tim Kempster

I'm not really picking a fight with the short seller as he is basically a good chap but he has tweeted on Optibiotix (OPT) and Skinbiotherapeutics (SBTX) and he has, I think, got his facts wrong. For someone who may have an undeclared short position, that is perhaps unwise. I have swapped emails with at one CEO. If the other gets back to me I shall let you know but he is a bearded poltroon so many not.. I am also rowing with our in-house BB savant PL on NPVs ref Ariana (AAU). I cover Celadon (CEL) and revise my sordid price targets for Wishbone (WSBN) after news of a placing. I fear that the brothers in bromance, Richard Poulden and David Lenigas, are losing their ramping touch.

Madness marches across this earth: Celadon on the AIM Casino

Though not as crazy as the bitcoin-in-treasury nonsense the share price of Celadon (CEL) is insane. It has surged from 5p to 16.5p since Friday. This is just so utterly bonkers, a market cap of £11 million. There are two outcomes here:

Celadon CEO James Short now on very thin ice indeed as more bills go unpaid, but has he taken out any cash?

Celadon Pharmaceuticals (CEL) told us on March 31 that it had sufficient cash to last “into April” thanks to the support of creditors. In plain English it could last as long as various folks did not insist on being paid. Today it says that, with the same caveat, it can now last “into May.” CEO James Short is a proven chancer.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: a reader says I am too cautious on gold so should I bank profits in Ashanti and switch into Amaroq?

Are there really 19 million Brits travelling today as my mum's cousins tell me? If so the journey back to Wales could be frightful. Then onto gold and why its actually not at an all time high and should go higher. In light on that I review all the gold stocks I own and ponder selling Anglo Gold aAshanti (US:AU) my best performer this year and buying more Amaroq (AMRQ) or maybe Ariana (AAU). Then it is Tern (TERN) and finally the woes of running Celadon (CEL) and Versarien (VRS) into the ground, of fobbing off creditors and not being able to look staff in the eye. Celadon – can’t it be more specific about when it will go bust?

For two RNS’s on the trot Celadon Pharmaceuticals (CEL) has, while lamenting the failure of two finance providers to provide contracted loan finance, warned that, even with creditors not demanding immediate repayment , it only has enough cash to last it “in to April.” It is now April 4.

Celadon: Timber! The Fat Lady is warming up!

“Oh dear, oh dear” as disgraced ex tipster Mike Walters would say when yet another of his share tips went horribly Pete Tong. No money, guzzling cash, likely to delist, a blue sky jam tomorrow story and run by rule breaking shysters, Celadon Pharmaceuticals (CEL) is just the sort of dog Walters would have tipped. Yesterday it waited until I was on the school run for its latest bad news. The shares, 125p two years ago when I first called this out, are now 3.5p.

Ooops I did it again, Celadon ‘fesses to more financing woes

Oh dear, oh dear as disgraced ex tipster Mike Walters used to say as yet another of his share tips went disastrously wrong. And Celadon Pharmaceuticals (CEL) is exactly the sort of POS that Mike would love to have tipped. It announces contracts with a vast top line number but the sales never arrive, profits are a pipe dream and as for cash being generated, forget it. The management are obvious knaves who do not give a FF about listing disclosure rules and the financing of the enterprise is, to say the least, opaque.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast No 1: Winding up orders and two companies that could be brown bread by May (or much sooner)

Celadon Pharmaceuticals: oh dear, oh dear, oh dear, a financing update

Celadon statement needed ASAP as shares continue to tank: still a £60m short

I really do hope that in penning this piece I am not going to interrupt another feminazi lunch being attended by Celadon Pharmaceuticals (CEL) PR head honcho Ms. Sarah McLeod. For I fear that Ms McLeod needs to stop discussing the gender pay gap and ensure her client – a company I have oft warned is drowning in red flags – to issue a statement as its share price continues to tumble. Here’s why?

Celadon placing and loan notes issue: Gotcha Ms Sarah McLeod

The last time I warned folks about Celadon (CEL) its PR woman Sarah McLeod called to complain bitterly that I had ruined some feminazi lunch she’d been attending with what she termed my “daily hit job.” She then demanded free access to the site not having actually read the article or having any idea what I write on a daily business. Well Ms. McLeod GOTCHA. As I correctly predicted your client has had to pass the hat around. It may not now be existing on vapours but its valuation is still tonto.

" target="_new">Celadon Pharma is on a nutso valuation, it is dangerous but surely it is a short

Back on March 23 I did a bearcast on Celadon Pharma (CEL) HERE which initially saw the shares marked lower from 125p to c105p. But the company fought back with private briefings. It did not draw attention to my well founded misgivings by issuing an RNS “refuting” what I said. That was a smart move. Instead someone roped in the serial liar John Story to do a mass new media spam pushing the shares, the CEO also did a Proactive interview and, for a while it worked. The shares hit 180p. Ouch. But then they started slipping.
