It will not be much consolation for those who paid up to 81p at peak ramp in June to see Coinsilium (COIN) shares getting a bitcoin bump back to 6.2p helped by the usual spivy ramping. But have folks done the actual maths?

During the past 24 hours the price of a range of cryptocurrencies including bitcoin and Ethereum has tumbled sharply. Bitcoin itself is now back below $110,000 having been $125,000 just a couple of weeks ago. Yet folks like my pal Dominic Frisby still insist that it is a store of value when compared to fiat. Can the bulls explain one thing to a silly old dinosaur like myself?

I discuss bitcoin prices and how and why this bubble is deflating and could bust. I discuss Smarter Web (SWC), Consilium (COIN), now 95% down in 10 weeks, London Bitcoin Company (BTC), Bluebird (BMV) and Satsuma (SATS)

You think bitcoin in treasury makes sense? You are wowed by new fangled valuation metrics pushed by grifters like Andrew Webley of The Smarter Web Company (SWC), you cannot go to enough Group Think mutual masturbation sessions with Peterhouse, Hill Dickinson and Coinsilium (COIN). Step outside of the bubble for an instant and enjoy a very impressive video from commentator Patrick Boyle and, without resorting to abuse, tell me why he is wrong.

I start with the launch of Jezza's new party for economic illterates and urge you to join. Hear me out, it is free. Then chatting to Sath at Bluebird Mining Ventures (BMV) and finally Coinsilium (COIN), London Bitcoin (BTC) and Smarter Web (SWC), a stark reminder of what a grifter and chancer Andrew Webley is in today's results and what, I predict, is the next chapter for the sector.

Back when the shares were 81p and as they have fallen steadily ever since folks like Malcolm Palle, Eddy Travia, the goons at brokers Peterhouse, SI Capital, Oak Securities and Oberon (yes Coinsilium (COIN) really does have 4 retained brokers) and various shady promoters and BBMs have been assuring the sheeple that the shares were so cheap. “Don’t listen to dinosaurs like Tom Winnifrith, he’s just bitter for missing out, a failed fund manager, he doesn’t realise that it will be different this time. He is so yesterday. He is always wrong.” They whispered such venom into the ears of the gullible.

On Friday I have an online meeting with Sath, the new chairman at Bluebird Mining Ventures (BMV) whose shares, at 1.275p trade at a discount to NAV and so I am more than happy to hold. But though shares in Coinsilium (COIN) and The Smarter Web Company (SWC), run by shamed penny share grifter Andrew Webley, have tanked they trade at multiples of NAV. I have questions about them and for them but, though vindicated already, am still a bear of both.

I report back on the campaign ahead of the Optibiotix (OPTI) AGM and, if needed, EGM. And I ask for you to vote against resolutions 2, 3,, 4 and 5 online as so many of you can and to let me know if you have voted thus. Before that, reader John thinks I have got Coinsilium (COIN) all wrong. I have not.

Background. Last year Paul turned up late for the UK Investor Show bearcast as he had gone to the wrong venue. This year I felt safe as two hours before the bearcast I knew Paul was due on the main stage with Paul Jourdan & Nigel Wray and he would not screw that up would he? Er.... As I walked off from the previous session I was told Scott was running 10 minutes late and so I agreed to start his session with Wray and Jourdan for him. 35 minutes later I was still there, over-running by a few minutes but managing well ( I thought). Still no sign of Scott. Anyhow in this bearcast I start off with five minutes on Blockchain with Malcolm Palle of Coinsilium (COIN) then it is onto Scott who seems not to understand that a fact is something that has happened, it is derived from the Latin. Opinions are not facts! Enjoy!

I start with the issue of whether Blockchain bonkers-ness is so 1997 as comrade Malcolm Palle of Coinsilium (COIN) - which we own shares in - says or late 2000. I explain why it is the latter and cite today's bonkers share price move at On Line (ONL). Then it is on to MySqaur (MYSQ), Xaar (XAR) and Bagir (BGR) which is, I think, talking bollocks.

In this bonus podcast prompted by recent events at African Potash (AFPO) and ADVFN (AFN) I look back on other bouts of market insanity. There was the radio boom of the 1920s and the dot com boom of 1999-2001 but is the blockchain bubble at 1999, 2000 or 2001? Among the companies also mentioned are On Line (ONL), Vela (VELA), Milestone Group (MSG) and Coinsilium (COIN), where we have a small holding. Madness, my friends, is in the air.

Do you understand bitcoin and blockchain? No. Neither do I. At UK Investor Show a panel organised by Coinsilium (COIN) including Dominic Frisby tried to explain the excitement and the investment opportunity.
