Putting fat cat share purchases into context: Sam Smith of Finncap

As per its recent trading statement, Finncap (FCAP), like every other City advisory and broking firm, has enjoyed a quite amazing year. It is the nature of this industry that it is either feast or famine and with massive M&A activity, debt and equity refinancings and even IPOs in the small and mid cap space, even Finncrap must have coined it in. That brings us to today’s news that its, self-important, smug and woke, CEO Sam Smith has bought 130,000 shares at 30.5p.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Joshua & I discover another clown called Justin but there are 2 big differences

One clown is Justin Waite from Vox Markets the other is Mr Tumble who entertains folks Joshua’s age on CBeebies. I explain the two big differences betweeen the two Justin the Clowns. I look at a classic feck up by London’s worst Nomad Roland “Fatty” Cornish. poor man, he has a lot on his plate right now. I look at Andalas Energy (ADL) what the broker coverage of Petards (PEG) shows about the cesspit in the City and I cover just wholly unacceptable executive greed at Coro Energy (CORO). I forgot to mention crony capitalist greed at Toople (TOOP), a coke and hookers event for City spivs but you can read about it HERE. I do, however, comment on NMC Health (NMC) and Finablr (FIN).

Another triumph for AIM: Labour Lord Alli’s Koovs goes bust

Well you cannot say you were not warned about Koovs (KOOV) by this website numerous times. This Bearcast from January 11 2016 (Koovs disgusts me) is pretty explicit. The City Crony capitalists loved the Indian retailer as its momentous losses meant it was a fee cash cow. I dread to think how much coke & hookers cash this company generated for the City.  Our full list of warnings are here and should be preserved as, today, the administrators were called in, the Nomad quit and the Fat Lady moved centre stage. What is the Hindi version of “All the Money’s gone?”

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast - A sexist joke from 1990 is it THAT Cathryn Riley who has joined the AA?

You could not tell jokes, like the one I relay, in the City any more otherwise you'd be up in front of HR at once. Luckily I am not in the City so here goes. I also comment on Defenx (DFX), Bacanora (BCN), Solo Oil (SOLO) and the Horse Hill gang, And I have two pieces of good news for the Mrs. PS I have just had an email confirming ShareProphets readers have brains. It appears that not one of you, not even our in house pet Bulletin Board loon Wildes, took up the Primary Bid Solo offer. Well done chaps.

Tom Winnifrith Bonus bearcast: Cenkos fined £530,000 over Quindell fraud - assisting crime DOES pay says the FCA

The FCA will say that fining Cenkos (CNKS)  £530,000 over the Quindell (QPP) fraud shows regulation is working. Au contraire. The narrow scope of its investigation, the failure to sanction individuals and the paltry fine show that assisting crime does pay if you work in the City. It sends out all the wrong signals and is a day of shame for the Square Mile as I explain in this podcast.

Tom Winnifrith Bonus Bearcast: Richard Chase of Nyota you disgraceful greedy useless mother quit now

Richard Chase the CEO of Nyota (NYO) has failed at his job. He is grotesquely overpaid. It is clear his shareholders want him out yet he and his fellow directors are clinging on to take as much cash as they can while they can. They are greedy pigs and Chase is a disgraceful POS who is beneath contempt. I hope he is unemployed soon and forced to pimp either his own arse or his wife at Kings Cross to make ends meet. I explain why all shareholders should email him at [email protected] TODAY urging him to resign at once. Fuck off Chase, you greedy useless City tosser, you will not be missed.

Breaking: OEM – shareholders/creditors screwed – City fat cats agree shoddy deal to trouser £1 million

This is disgusting. Directors of OEM (OEM) stole £6 million from the company before it went bust - see HERE. Accountant’s Baker Tilly sued them and the case was set to come to court next month. But do the City fat cats give a FF about creditors or shareholders? Of course not. A shoddy deal and a gagging order to protect fat cats and thieving director alike has just been agreed.

At the outset Baker Tilly and City fat cat lawyers Lesters Aldridge took Counsels opinion on the likelihood of recovery. This was sufficiently robust to obtain insurance cover on fees as they set about recovering £6 million of stolen funds from the directors.

Shareholders were assured that ex director Robin Turner alone had £10 million of free and clear assets. Meanwhile former CEO Robert Noonan had transferred his prime assets into the ER Trust (controlled by his wife) But shareholders were assured that Baker Tilly would ' break the Trust ' and pursue Noonan to bankruptcy.

But scumbag lawyers
