I start with a weather report then consider Diageo (DGE) in light of Chris Bailey’s mea culpa bull piece earlier. I am not sure that I agree with him. Then I look at THG (THG) where an £8 million share dump by a PDMR announced on Friday shows why the bears were right and are still right. Steven Whitehead knows far more about share valuations than Tory Boy poseur and A Grade bullshitter Matt Moulding.,

Investment Case: Formerly Blavod Wines & Spirits, this is a company which has been around for ages but has thus far failed to deliver. However, having joined the board as a non-executive in 2010, Don Goulding - previously a senior executive and lastly UK Managing Director at industry giant Diageo - took the full reins in late 2011 and has led the company to exit distribution for third parties to focus on developing owned brands. Although not yet reflected in the financial results, this looks a move of some promise and the shares at a 0.8p offer price, capitalising the company at sub £3.5 million, are a buy.

It seems that I disagree with Comrade Malcolm Stacey once again as I discuss whether a stock on a PE of 22 (Diageo or JD Wetherspoon) can be desribed as cheap. I then discuss what should be in a trading statement looking at Foxtons, Blur and Outsourcery - run by the ghastly Piers Linney - and what this says about shares in all three.
