Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Greed vs Fear, Bailey vs Stacey

I explain why this Bearcast is late then cover how more buy notes means a worse share price performance in small caps, Flybe going bust again and how that relates to firms like Inspirit (INSP) and Aston Martin Lagonda (AML) and plans to bring back Help to Buy, the last thing this country needs. Then it is Greed vs Fear, Bailey vs Stacey.

I cover the matter in the tiitle at the end of this podcast and also remind you that tomorrow is my first long training walk for the 33 mile Woodlarks trek in the summer where we now have EIGHT rogue bloggers signed up and where I ask each bearcast listener to think of me tomorrow and donate a tenner HERE.  In the podcast I discuss my unhappiness over City behaviour at Reach4Entertainment (R4E), Yourgene (YGEN) and ref Chris Oil. I stress that I own shares in Yourgene and Reach and both are cheap notwithstanding my unhappiness. I look at Haydale (HAYD), Flybe (FLYB) and Chesterfield (CHF)

Flybe knocks talk of counter offer on head with asset disposal – shares collapse

Some fools were buying shares in Flybe (FLYB) at up to 4p yesterday on the hope of a counter offer to the 1p a share Virgin/Stobart (STOB) bid. Fools. They should have followed the sage advice of ShareProphets. Today Flybe has knocked all that on the head and the shares have crashed to 2.57p. They are still 150% or more overvalued.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast - Will Jim Mellon's PR man say sorry for chewing my ear off over the Condor spoof - vindicated today

On 6th December I said that a token share purchase by Jim Mellon of shares on Condor Gold (CNR) was a spoof as it was so small for Jim. Moreover Condor was running out of cash and would do a placing within months. Mellon's PR man chewed my ear off. Well hey ho today there was a placing.  A pattern of such spoofs and a subsequent placing has continued. Will I get an apology?  I also look at lessons from Flybe (FLYB) and the non bid, at Fevertree (FEVR) director share sales, at UK Oil & Gas (UKOG) which is also spoofing, 13 Energy (13E) - "you say it best when you say nothing at all " - R Keating.  Then I look at uber dog Golden Saint Resources (GSR) which is leaving AIM and says it wants to go to the Standard List. Lucky Standard List. I also mention our share purchase of more Optibiotix (OPTI). If you like bearcasts then remember that at UK Investor on April 21 one of many highlights will be a live bearcast with myself and Paul Scott. Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Malcolm with respect you are talking complete bollocks on IQE

Two days, two bull articles on IQE (IQE). It has worked and I have been goaded here is is why Malcolm Stacey is talking bollocks. I also reference the fraud Eden Research (EDEN) in this discussion on profit being a matter of opinion and that is why cash matters. I discuss why being a liar is bad news as a CEO ref Mkango Resources (MKA) then tease Andrew Monk and Richard Jennings about Gulfsands Petroleum (GPX) - their oil analysis as bad as their Syria analysis on this occasion. Then it is onto Flybe (FLYB) and a detailed discussion of the looming cash crisis and joke valuation at Sound Energy (SOU). I suggest SalvaRx (SALV) run by my good friend Jim Mellon faces a bit of a cash issue. Then I explain why I have cut my UK Oil & Gas (UKOG) target price to just 0.25p making it, at 1.125p, still a slam dunk sell.  If you like bearcasts then remember that at UK Investor on April 21 one of many highlights will be a live bearcast with myself and Paul Scott. Tom Winnifrith BearCast - Disagreeing strongly with Chris Oil & Malcolm Stacey

This website is about debate. You can respect or even like your colleagues and I am a massive admirer of Malcolm Stacey for the record. But you have to tell your friends when they are wrong. The way that Chris Oil looks at Flybe (HERE) is wrong and comrade Malcolm's comments on Greece and the Euro today (HERE) are wrong at every single level. I explain why in this podcast.
