The scandal of the shameful smearing as “Russian assets” of my pals the short sellers Fraser Perring and Boatman Capital in the House of Commons by Labour MP Liam Byrne is not going away. You will remember that the smear lines were provided by now proven fraudsters that Perring was exposing.

Short seller Fraser Perring is not universally loved. Like me he falls out with former allies but I would count him as a friend and on companies such as Home REIT and Wirecard he has done some exceptional work. This week, I can reveal, he will submit a formal complaint to the Parliamentary Standards Commissioner about senior Labour MP Liam Byrne which should be career ending for the socialist.

Gabriel Grego has just tweeted that he has shorted Tingo (US:TIO) joining other bears such as Fraser Perring, Lucian Miers and a stack of US bears who all see this as a zero. Fraser Perring of Viceroy Research was the first bear to expose the shenanigans at sheltered housing provider Home REIT (HOME). Natch the former FTSE 250 member said it refuted all Fraser’s allegations. It was equally dismissive of a subsequent critique from Boatman capital. Today a partial fess up, okay the bears were right after all but the board is not to blame. Whatever.

It is ouzo time for Fraser Perring of Viceroy and for Boatman Capital. The bears look to be wholly vindicated as Home REIT (HOME) has fessed up to a collapsing business model and has put its rag bag assets up for sale. Indeed it has had one offer but that looks to be related party and shareholders should not expect to get much. This is a scandal and exactly why bear raiders are so needed. Shares in this company were almost 80p when Fraser published his dossier last November. The shares are now suspended at 38p and shareholders will be lucky to get pennies.

Yesterday twitter was buzzing with shareholders in Supply@ME Capital (SYME) trolling me and attacking me about this article which they clearly had not even read. That is double evidence of how dumb they are. But in case you think it is just me who gets this sort of low grade trolling, check out these tweets sent late last week to Fraser Perring, the bear who exposed Wirecard and is now sticking it to Grenke AG. I often wonder if ther wives of folks who send such tweets have any idea what their other half’s are up to and such despicable morons they think such behaviour will actually protect their investments in duff companies?
