So Jersey Oil & Gas got its placing away at a 21% discount and it is a company serving up good news. UK Oil & Gas (UKOG) has been serving up cold sick to its shareholders and is out of cash so needs a placing ASAP to avoid going tits up. UK Oil & Gas shares are now just 4.5p to sell so at what price do our readers expect the placing? Look away now if you are long, strong, wrong and clearly smoking a bong.

I cannot blame Jersey Oil & Gas (JOG) for raising £20 million today. It's the smart move. But if it has to offer shares at a 15-20% discount when it's on a roll what sort of discount will UK Oil & Gas (UKOG) have to offer as it seeks to raise £5-10 million with things going badly wrong? I also look at MySquar (MYSQ) after today's article that proves FRAUD. What is not allowed on AIM these days? Would complicity in mass murder be a problem? I give up.

Sitting here with my father in Shipston I start with what is my favourite joke from Frazier. Then it is onto the next joke, that is the news from FastForward (FFWD) one of the many joke investment companies linked to my old friend the offshore-based asset stripper Jim Mellon. Then it is onto Amur (AMC) which is so obviously placing ahoy and where the market cap is almost as much of a joke as a FastForward RNS. Then I turn to Jersey Oil & Gas (JOG) and the idea of risk reward before having a butchers at Rose Petroleum (ROSE) where even Stevie Wonder could see that it is placing ahoy. There may be a second bearcast on Nyota (NYO) where it seems there is a mega scandal emerging. Watch this space!

No I am not talking about Sam Smith's beau, the CEO of Telit (TCM), white collar criminal Yosi Fait. Instead I am talking about betting on oil exploration calls. I cover Jersey Oil & Gas (JOG), formerly Crap Oil, Providence Resources (PVR) which has always been a crap company and I look at Stellar Diamonds (STEL). I then look at the ghastly profits warning at UP Global (UPGS) and the read across from that. There will be more on the Big Issue seller in the Silver Merc on my own website later.
