Revolution Bars (RBG) tries its utmost to draw comfort from an H1 trading statement showing like for like sales falling and the impact of the Government’s increase in the minimum wage. But it is still downing in debt and facing clear macro headwinds. Even the good news is not really good news.

I start with two pieces of good news. 96 more strawberry plants are on the way but I have now planted 81 in the patch I have created. The target is to get the last of batch 1 planted tonight. I promise a photo over the weekend of that and other horticultural endeavours. Secondly we have now raised 61% of the £48,000 we need to ensure the survival of Woodlarks. Tomorrow my daughter and I do 25-30 1,185 metre laps of the fields here. Think of the pain and please donate NOW HERE. Well so much for a slow housing market! It looks as if it is full steam ahead on a move to the Grim North! First up I must congratulate Paul Scott for sticking with and, I think averaging down, on Revolution Bars (RBG) which earlier this week received a tentative 200p share offer. Paul was right and I was wrong. It happens. I guess my, almost teetotal existence and his extensive field work gave him the edge. Only kidding - it was a great call by Paul and one orf the reasons why he is such a great share blogger. I am sure his session with Nigel Wray at UK Investor 2018 (as well as his live bearcast with me) will justify attendance on its own. But just as a reminder we do not get it all right, here is a classic Scott twitter outburst, regarding Fairpoint (FRP) which said that it would be calling in administrators today.
