Paul Mathieson of Amazing AI (AAI) says that he will report me to all the regulators. To save him the effort I have today reported myself to the FCA, AIM Regulation and AQSE Regulation requesting a full investigation into the allegations against me. I do not short sell, I do not profit from short selling, I am not part of a gang and, as such, suggestions that I am are defamatory. Let’s get the FCA and all the regulators to investigate me in full. I want the regulators to investigate every aspect of my finances so to clear my name once and for all. That would, of course, give me the option of a low cost route to commence legal proceedings against those who suggest otherwise. Remember the onus of proof is on those making the claim.

Lucian Miers has been banging on about Victoria (VCP) for years, but today short selling outfit Iceberg has released a damning report suggesting that the £380 million capitalised company has misled investors with fraudulent acquisitions, cannot generate cash and is drowning in a sea of unsustainable debt. It queeries the business dealings and track record of main man Geoff Wilding but publishes a picture of his $65 million superyacht. Anyone reading the report ( below) who is not short is missing out big time.

During every period of market nerves there are calls by the crooks and the fools to ban short selling. But does this go far enough. Back in 2009 after the last global financial crisis (which Gordon Brown managed to solve) Benjamin Dover took this matter to its logical conclusion and explained to the SEC why the answer was to ban share selling altogether. The communications policy of AIM listed satellite group Avanti Communications (AVN) is a shambles. That does not assist those of us who still believe in this company. Right now my old friend Lucian Miers, the Bard of the Boleyn, and my (struck off) accountant Simon Cawkwell (aka Evil Knievil) are short of the stock. Having first tipped the shares yonks ago at 116p I think that, at 279.5p the shares are remarkably cheap. But the bear case is worth examining. As such here goes…
