Cult Wines – another couple of massive red flags, why is the FCA failing to act?

It was April 7 2025 when I warned folks that wine investment company Cult Wines was an avoid at all costs bezzle. Of course, regulators have done nothing about it and so more good money has been lost by British mug punters looking for bonanza returns from fine wines. But now new red flags are fluttering.

BREAKING: New bear dossier on Trustpilot, the USP just makes no sense

I have long warned that the business model of Trustpilot (TRST) is just not sustainable and that this will all end in share price tears. Quite simply its reviews are too often bent but as it bats for paying corporate customers the mugs who read the site can get screwed and, in the end, will stop using it. It seems I am not howling in the wind alone. A new bear dossier is out thus morning. Enjoy...

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Even Trustpilot has abandoned the 79th group fraudsters: the moral bankruptcy of James Knowles and Novum

Even Trustpilot (TRST) can see the game us up for the 709th Group fraudsters. You need a heart of stone not to weep at the last review which is below. But First Class Metals (FCM) and Novum do not give a FF about vulnerable old folks cleaned out and dying in misery and poverty thanks to 79th.

79th Group – the façade continues to crumble, ponzi fraud runs out of cash

As with all Ponzi schemes once the flow of new monies stops, the cracks in the scam start to appear. In 79th Group case this was initially triggered by the City of London Police announcement of fraud investigation against the 79th group and arrest of the four senior individuals at the group believed to be Gary Webster, his sons Jake and Curtis and the CEO Natalie Bellis. Further signs of the collapse of the 79th group are now starting to appear.

Today I look at Celadon (CER), Trustpilot (TRST), Ariana (AAU), AFC Energy (AFC) and Pri0r1ty (PR1) but that is after a vomiting son and in this household I am the progressive primary carer.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast No 2: as Evil Banksta exposes Powerhouse as a zero in waiting, I flag up smelly red flags at Roquefort and Trustpilot

I start with Trustpilot (TRST) and the ratings for Evri and Everi, do you smell a rat? Trustpilot is a stonking £1.2 billion short. Then Powerhouse (PHE) which you can also short to zero, Optibiotix (OPTI) and i am being objective and, I believe, balanced. Finally Roquefort (ROQ) and today’s red flag strewn news: is that a fake sheikh I spot?

TrustPilot, an MBE writes about how it acted to protect fraudsters

Can you trust TrustPilot (TRST) as a reader looking to buy a good product? The answer as evidenced by the 79th Group scandal HERE and Alan Green’s poor dog HERE is a clear NO! Now a reader with an MBE provides me with his correspondence showing, once again, TrustPilot protecting crooks because it is the crooks who pay the bills

Trustpilot - another reader writes to expose why it cannot be trusted

This reader may not have an MBE like our earlier commentator but his comments merit a wider audience. And they, again, show why you cannot trust TrustPilot (TRST) reviews and that is a fundamental flaw in the business model. Enjoy...

Trustpilot just shows that it cannot be trusted: it finally posts a "warning" about mini bond fraudsters The 79th Group

A week after the City of London fuzz announced that looking at a “widespread fraud” it had launched Operation Mold, arrested and charged 4 employees of 79th Group and asked for other victims to come forward, Trustpilot (TRST) which has been a platform for rave reviews for the fraudsters has posted a warning. Well sort of.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast No 2: a Versarien owning Kraut wants to save my reputation

My brother in laws are both half Krauts so I must not be too rude. I start on this matter then look at the Colin Bird mining tiddlers and what is going on at Tiger Royalties (TIR), then why Novum thinks lying to investors is fine and dandy then what am I missing, why is TrustPilot (TRST) not a massive short. I also look at why you go short bitcoin long gold as a pair trade if you think the US economy is in trouble so stockmarkets will stumble..

Share Promoter Alan Green shows up Trustpilot for the waste of space it is once again; ref Perfect Pet, surely the shares are a stonking £1.2bn short

Every business has three key stakeholders: staff, shareholders and customers. You can screw one of them and reward the others but not forever. But maybe Trustpilot (TRST) is different?

Just what is the point of Trustpilot - its reviews are just bent: meet Tom winnithrith

When I owned a restaurant, a long long time ago, supporters of the fraud Quindell (QPP) took to Trustpilot (TRST) to post bogus reviews and ensure we had the worst rating in London. Naturally, even when presented with proof, Trustpilot did nothing about it.It just loved all that traffic coming to its site. Today I bring you another review by a Tom winnithrith. It is of ADVFN (AFN) where Steve and I run two subscription newsletters.
