This is all to do with my own panic shopping but what it told me about how others are behaving. If folks think that most consumers continue to act as if nothing is wrong, think again. Then I look at Future (FUTR) which i don’t believe as it issues a trading statement, round two of beer and popcorn at Iofina (IOF) as the great Brexit bad boy Arron Banks makes his move, French Connection (FCCN) and ValiRx (VAL) botb of which look pretty fecked.

Yes I have indeed done just that, or I think I have. The olive harvest saga continues and the snow has started on the mountains above the Greek Hovel, pictures later. In this podcast I look at Jabba The Hutt ramping Afriag (AFRI) and warn you what will happen next. Then a comment on LGO Energy (LGO) before heading onto PeerTV (PTV) and - in an unusual manner - I cover ValiRx (VAL). You see Satu I am a man of my word, Halosource (HALO) gets "the treatment" as does Gary Newman for buying into corporate bullshit speak. Then it is onto Photosntar Led (PSL), Fitbug (FITB) and finally InternetQ (INTQ).

The annual ritual is complete. The Mrs and I have photographed my morbidly obese three legged cat Oakley in his Christmas hat and even Tara played her part posing in the hat and in a stocking. And thus our rather un-Christian cards are now in production. Awway from that I have a long look at Slater & Gordon (SGH) where the management has just allowed the bears a chance to sell even more shares. Jabba The Hutt stocks Solo (SOLO) and LGO Energy (LGO) get a mention as does Aureus Mining (AUE) with its hugely discounted placing. Alba (ALBA) is clearly lining up its next confetti issue and I comment on that as well as Blur (BLUR), Outsourcery (OUT), Wandisco (WAND), Plant Health Care (PHC), Gulf Keystone (GKP) and NAHL (NAH), Finally I commend the CEO of ValiRx (VAL) who attended Gold & Bears on Saturday and was incredibly poilite. Memo to TW. I will be less beastly to her in 2016.

My MCC card is in my pocket but I am, again, missing the Lords test on a glorious Saturday. One year... I then take this podcast to the China AIM frauds. By next Wednesday 4 will have been booted off the casino so far this year, I refer you to a superb piece out earlier today HERE. I chatted late at night last week to an emerging markets fund manager and thus offer up more thoughts on these frauds. Once again IT issues in Greece delay this podcast. I start by explianing why the reaction of Paul Scott and the craven deadwood press to the new national living wage proposed by George Osborne displays 100% economic illiteracy. It is simply a transfer of wealth from business to the State, the poor will gain nothing. Then onto defending David Lenigas and Andrew Bell from some of the sillier comments made by some folk and to explain why flip flop Ben Turney is again wrong on New World Oil & Gas. hats off to Paul Curtis for the silliest remark of the day as I stck the boot into Gulf Keystone and then also to the prep, pump and dump at Beowulf Mining. And finally I have another go at biotech dog ValiRx.

On December 5, I was lambasted by Bulletin Board Morons for being beastly to ValiRX (VAL) – the 0.285p in the middle (down by 98% under current management). Apparently I did not understand the science.
My argument was that this POS was running out of money, was ramping its shares with non-news and that a placing was on the way. Well it has not taken long with £800,000 raised today at just 0.2p. Now for the bad news…

You see my problem is that I just do not understand the exciting technology. That is what the ValiRx (VAL) experts say, well by experts I mean Bulletin Board Morons. We have been here before. Do you remember Monitise?
My thesis with Monitise was that I had looked at the numbers and it was abundantly clear that the valuation was bonkers and that cash would be an issue so I said sell at 50p so repeating my sell at 70p. The shares are now 29p (and are still way overvalued). But apparently I just did not understand the “new paradigm” and so on twitter a fellow called Share Tipster (@2years2go) stated:

Whatever. So far I chalk that up as 1 nil to the dull number cruncher versus those who “really understand the technology”. I admit that I am no expert on what Monitise does but I can read a balance sheet and a cashflow statement.
