Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Friday 13th is not a good day for the Toxic Brothers: Dave Sefton and Neil Woodford

There is some macro babble focussing on the woes of the EuroZone, why Malcolm is wrong about housebuilders and other matters. I look at Woodford Patient Capital Trust (WPCT) after yesterday evening’s shock news and ask when it breaches gearing limits and what happens next. I touch on i3 Energy (i3E) then look at the shock departure of Dave Sefton from Anglo African Oil & Gas (AAOG). He should have been fired sooner and what happens next? And what does this mean for Iconic (ICON) which I mistakenly refer to by its former name of Widecells and where Sefton still casts his malign influence as a director.

Richard Jennings of Align, sticks knife into his own client, Widecells, wants EGM to oust the board

Let's be clear here. Widecells (WDC) was a client of Align Research run by Richard Jennings. That is to say it paid Align to publish research. It is thus all the more remarkable that Jennings is prepared to stock the knife in, attack recent actions by the company and is now buying shares in the market to call an EGM to fire the board. Get your beer and popcorn ready, for what it is worth I agree with Jennings on this matter and urge all shareholders to contact him to offer their support. He writes:

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Frontera Resources is quite simply bust, it is that simple

First things first. If you want free booze, canapes, a chance to see me rip Dominic Frisby apart on blockchain and bitcoin and to hear presentations from and quiz Falanx (FLX) and Premaitha (NIPT) then book a seat for 16 October in central London HERE. In the podcast I look at the madness of Corbyn once more in relation to the Natural rate of Unemployment in a non broken economy. I add to my earlier comments on troughery at Frontera (FRR) HERE by showing it is bankrupt. I cover Concepta (CPT), Fishing Republic (FISH), the Widecells (WDC) scandal and Wolf Minerals (WLFE).

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast - My father prepares to sink Fred Olsen

I start with the bad news for whoever owns Fred Olsen.  I think look at Octagonal (OCT), Blur (BLUR), much ramped Keras Resources (KRS), XCite Energy (XEL), Magnolia Petroleum (MAGP), 88 Energy (88E), Highlands Natural Resources (HNR), Sareum (SAR) and then a joke IPO called Widecells (WDC), which listed yesterday and is now the subject of a ramp. Feel the stem cells. No actually don't. Just sell.
