Upland Resources – the board doth protest too much about the fraudulent non-bid

Having ‘fessed after hours on Friday that the supposed 14p per share, £167 million, bid was a total scam, Upland Resources (UPL) has tried to reassure investors with another statement today. I am afraid it simply does not wash and when the company runs out of money early next year, the FCA, will – as explained here – block its attempts to raise fresh funds via a prospectus and I expect it to go bust.

Wandisco: A letter to the FCA – what was the bonus timetable?

The FCA Investigation into Wandisco (WAND) and its fraudulent sales continues. I do not expect it to affect the business going forward but I hope that it results in ex CEO Dave Richards MBE and CFO Erik Millar being thrown to the wolves if not into jail. I have dropped the FCA a note focusing on the issue of 2022 bonuses, as you can see below

GOTCHA: Deepverge suspended pending clarification, its game over with £50m spaffed, as the curse of Brandon strikes, ouzo for the Sheriff

It is ouzo on my strawberries for breakfast at Sheriff of AIM Towers. For Gerry Brandon who broke AIM Rules in hiding a profits warning before a placing then published fraudulent interims before his next placing the imminent demise of Deepverge (DVRG) should be the end of his AIM career. He should be in jail as £50 million invested goes up in smoke.  Brandon may have “been resigned” just before Christmas but he was the architect of Deepverge’s failure.

Boohoo’s Mahmud Kamani – mad, bad or a genius?

I refer, of course, to news today that  that Boohoo (BOO) has increased its shareholding in Revolution Beauty (REVB) from just under 13% to 26.4654% even though Revolution Beauty shares are suspended as it still cannot bottom out the size of a fraudulent accounting black hole. So is boss Mahmud Kamani mad or a genius?

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Insanity at Ocado while the curse of loathsome ex Tory MP Tony Baldry strikes again

In today’s podcast I look at Cineworld (CINE), Ocado (OCDO), Versarien (VRS), Rosslyn Data (RDT) – going right back to its fraudulent prospectus c.o Cenkos – and Westminster Group (WSG) where the curse of Baldry of the fraud 3DM infamy strikes yet again. Talking of vile Tory MPs, I mention Matt Hancock at the end. At least with Baldry his fingers were only in the pork barrel.

SHOCKER FROM THE AIM SEWER: Ince, the timing of today’s profits warning appears almost fraudulent

If I was a shareholder in corporate advisor Arden (ARDN) and had, in late April, swapped my stock for shares in legal and accounting firm Ince Group (INCE) I would be calling my lawyer right now as Ince has only just served up a profits warning for the year ended 31 March 2022.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Administrators to sue auditors Grant Thornton over Patisserie Valerie fraud - windfall for Luke Johnson?

I start with Christmas presents. Today I started to panic and will really pull my finger out tomorrow. Then onto news that the administrators of Patisserie Holdings (CAKE) chaired by my pal lucky Luke Johnson is to sue aufitors Grant Thornton over the fraudulent accounts it sign off on. This might see Lucky getting a windfall. Or rather a bit of his cash back. I discuss the whole affair

Tom Winnifrith Bonus Bearcast: what will the fraudsters at African Potash do next Thursday when they need to find £800,000 pronto?

Firstly I untangle Friday's RNS from lyin' Chris Cleverley and the fraudsters at African Potash (AFPO) - folks you need to do the maths! Then I explain why, as at next Thursday, this fruadulent, out of cash piece of Turkish is screwed. The countdown is on as Katrina Clayton knows full well and the the full posse is in pursuit. Congratulations lying Chris..you have just met the Sheriff of AIM. Football fans will understand the phrase - should I get a calling card made?

The 4 Companies I have Reported to the FRC - the common thread for Quindell, Eden, Avanti and Servision

I have to date reported four companies to the Financial Reporting Council asking it to investigate accounts which I believe to be fraudulent and or misleading. So where am I with these four and what is the common thread?

The first to be dobbed in was Quindell. The FRC publicly acknowledged that it widened the scope of its enquiries as a result of my letter and Quindell was found guilty on all sorts of counts. Expect disciplinary action AFTER the Serious Fraud Office has made its arrests.

The next three are Eden Research (EDEN),Servision (SEV) and Avanti Communications (AVN) which all stand accused (by me) of unacceptable revenue recognition policies.

Memo to Jim “hammer” Sutcliffe and Richard Rose of Quindell – how to spin the PWC disaster

You know that I am just a plain and simple nice guy. Well if you do, don’t tell anyone as I have a reputation to preserve. But as a nice guy I thought I’d drop a memo to the new team at Quenron (QPP), Jim “Hammer” Sutcliffe and Richard Rose about how to spin the looming disaster that is the PWC Report into Quindell’s fraudulent accounting policies.

Memo to the Hammer & Rose
