The email below, apparently from a senior staffer at Scotgold (SGZ) to lawyers at Fox Williams, presumably Richie Clark and Paul Taylor (Partners) or Paul Osborne (Senior Partner), appears to show that the company, which only raised £3 million just the other day, is in a right old financial mess and is preparing for administration. Either its real or its fake, but its “doing the rounds” so one way or another ScotGold, a perma dog IMHO, needs to issue an RNS first thing Monday AM.

I did warn Umuthi PLC and its top notch advisers at fascist bastard lawyers Memery Crystal that Richard “Nobody likes me and I don’t care” Jennings was serious but, as ever, those smart folk down in London knew best. Today Jennings and his Align Research firm have indeed – as I predicted - filed a First Gazette notice against Umuthi which will , almost certainly, see it wound up. You can see the filing below. MoPowered Group (MPOW) raised a gross £3.64 million at 100p when listing on the AIM Casino on December 18 2013. The shares now stand at 20.5p valuing this POS at just over £3.2 million. And while it says that it is going ahead with a £3.5 million fund raise you’d have to be mad to subscribe as this has red flags all over it. Death is all this deserves.
Of course £3.64 million did not go to the company. The admission document reveals that the cost of the IPO and fundraising was a staggering £700,000. That will have paid for an awful lot of hookers and coke at offices of brokers, Nomads, PRs, accounts and lawyers across the City last Christmas. It is a staggering sum. So where are the shareholder’s coke and hookers?
Where are they? Oh don’t be stupid. We shareholders get no coke and hookers. This is AIM. This is crony capitalism. Our money is simply transferred to the Crony Capitalists of the City. The coke and hookers are all for the Square Mile, not for the peasants. We are just there to pay for them.

During my career I have had countless letters from companies threatening to sue me for libel. Bear raider Evil Knievil has had a good few too. I am not sure how Evil is doing but I have not yet lost a case. And have only once or twice caved by taking an article down. The behaviour of companies that resort to legal action is telling. And incidentaly those that have threatened me have nearly all, already, gone tits up.
Good companies do not attract hostile comment from folks like myself, Evil, Gotham City and other bears. We only make specific allegations of wrong doing when we can a) prove them and b) when they are material from an investment point of view. If per chance we get it wrong a good company has nothing to fear. It simply points out factual errors and we will always correct any mistakes made – well I will anyway. And a good company can afford to do – as Rob Terry of Quindell – says he is doing just sit there and “let the results do the talking.” The share price will follow suit and bears will be burned.
Bad companies respond by going to their lawyers.
