Earlier today the ShareProphets website went down as a result of a DOS attack. This was a deliberate cyber crime targeting this website only. We have now put in place counter measures which may make the website slower, until the DOS attack ceases, but keeps it up exposing criminals, fraudsters and liars. This is not the first time we have faced a DOS attack.

In today's bearcast I start with the leaking of failed bids, ref Elegant Hotels (EHG). Who benefits and why do it? Then I look at the fund managers accused of colluding to drive down IPO prices. I really do have some sympathy with them and explain why. Then it is onto UK Oil & Gas (UKOG) and Alba (ALBA). Finally I take apart today's ludicrous claims about growing poverty in Britain. Two years ago as I exposed Quindell, the biggest stockmarket fraud for 30 years, supporters of that company ran an organised campaign to get companies not to advertise on websites I ran - this one and ShareProphets.com. It is very easy to persuade companies that you speak for many if you are organised and vociferous and so British Airways, Waitrose, Hargreaves Lansdown and others told Google not to run their ads on our websites. Those backing the fraud, who also sent death threats while the company's expensive lawyers sent fascist lawyers letters threatening me with ruin, were more organised and vociferous than I could be and so they struck a blow against a free press. That was a blow on behalf of criminals.

Pacific Tycoon spent a fortune promoting its ponzi scheme promising sky high returns on investing in shipping freight containers in Asia. At 1.15 PM on Tuesday 23rd June, the China fraud Gate Ventures (GATE) announced that its Nomad - Beaumont Cornish - had quit on the Monday. The statement that it issued was er...much as you'd expect from a bunch of Chinese criminals and their useful idiot British patsies.

Last week a blameless salesman at ADVFN booked a marketing solus for us for Pacific Tycoon. The Asian scammers were prepared to pay great money so we would have a big payday on it. But when I learned about this I told our partners at ADVFN that if that mailing was sent to our readers I would resign. And so it was pulled. However much money we are offered we will not expose you to folks who are just out and out criminals.
