Photo Article from the Welsh Hovel for the Doom Goblin: It is THAT day again

Despite claims that 2023 was the hottest year on record, using spectacularly bodged data, the arctic sea ice seems to be rather off message: it is now at its highest level for 21 years. Oddly the BBC’s various global warming correspondents have yet to take a private jet to report on that. Perhaps they are all at Davos with Greta Thunberg. Meanwhile closer to home I bring you two pictures that greeted my family at the Welsh hovel this morning, yes that is global warming you see in the farmyard and on the road up to the village.

Okay there is not much of it but it is snow none the less and so on January 16 I get to report that as he works through his eighth year on this planet my son Joshua has seen snow every single year without leaving the UK.

If like the Doom Goblin Greta Thunberg you are part of the cult I ask you to consider two quotes from the year 2000.

Dr David Viner, a senior research scientist at the climatic research unit (CRU) of the University of East Anglia  said that within a few years winter snowfall will become “a very rare and exciting event”. “Children just aren’t going to know what snow is.

David Parker, at the Hadley Centre for Climate Prediction and Research in Berkshire warned “British children could have only virtual experience of snow. Via the internet, they might wonder at polar scenes – or eventually “feel” virtual cold. Heavy snow will return occasionally, We’re really going to get caught out.  The chances are certainly now stacked against the sort of heavy snowfall in cities that inspired Impressionist painters, such as Sisley, and the 19th century poet laureate Robert Bridges, who wrote in “London Snow” of it, “stealthily and perpetually settling and loosely lying.”

The media and political classes reported this as FACT ( i.e. something that has happened) not as just other predictions. After all UEA was one of the world’s leading climate change centres and its forecasts – on which Viner based his outrageous claim – were taken as gospel. But the climate models of UEA and of Hadley have been completely wrong over 20 years, Joshua has, as of today, seen snow in Bristol or Wales, every single calendar year of his life

On the basis that the 20 year forecasts were so wrong and as the Arctic grows and temperatures across the Northern Hemisphere plunge to well below seasonal norms, why are we crucifying the poor and middle classes with huge green taxes on the basis of new long term forecasts from inside the same GroupThink?
