Boycott the Bull in Charlbury

US Vice president JD Vance is on holiday in the Cotswolds, an area these days stuffed with second home owners who are originally wankers from Islington.

His staff tried to book a table for him at the Bull in Charlbury where only weeks earlier Kamala Harris had dined. The staff said they would refuse to serve Vance and as a result the Bull told him it did not want his custom. It will take money from someone who lost a democratic election not someone who was part of the winning team.

Pubs and restaurants are businesses with high fixed costs so only a relatively small loss of trade can cause real financial problems. The politically motivated staff and cowardly owners deserve nothing less than a boycott by right thinking folks. Even a small loss of trade could, in the current climate, cause job losses or even closure. And that would be fully merited.

Of course, private businesses can always choose to decline trade and
should be allowed to do so as Peter Tachell and I argued HERE. But we as consumers can also opt to boycott outfits run by folks who discriminate against those with whom they disagree on matters political.

Those who believe in democracy and free speech should boycott the Bull. If staff lose their jobs I shall shed no tears as it will be their own fault.
