Warwick School sex abuser teacher Mr X – big news imminent

I have said that one of the last big battles that I wish to fight as a journalist before calling it a day is to see Warwick School historic sexual and physical abuse fully exposed, men guilty of unspeakable acts and also those who covered them up named and, if alive, punished. And for Warwick to openly admit what went on. I have been battling on this for 13 years and little by little the onion has been peeled back layer by layer but, today I learn, that a massive day is set to dawn very soon indeed.

Warwick has been forced to apologise for some of what went on at the hands of my tormentor the sadistic bastard Geoffrey Eve, at least privately to his many victims if not publicly. I have named paedophile teachers both dead ( Alan Wilkins and David Stuke) and alive ( Charles Watmough) on these pages. But the man who I believe to be the worst abuser I have not named for legal reasons, in order not to prejudice a Police Enquiry, and the school has used that as an excuse not to open up about what went on as it should and could have done without naming X.

Mr X abused countless boys at various schools but mainly at Warwick. Warwickshire Police started an investigation five years ago and thanks to my wonderful (Labour) MP for Wrexham I now know where things stand. Andrew Ranger may be a misguided lefty, wrong about everything, but unlike the rest of officialdom who appeared to not care at all, his team have been superb on this matter and he, almost certainly, has my vote next time though I despise his party with a passion.

Ranger has established that the CPS only received the final file three months ago but that it is “pleased to confirm that a charging decision is close to being finalized” and that Warwick victims will be contacted about that decision “in the near future”. If Mr X is not charged I shall name him and the floodgates will open as I bet the ranch that there are many more victims at Warwick out there both of Mr X and of the other nonces.

If he is charged, and this letter from the CPS sounds pretty promising, he will be widely named and again the floodgates will be open. At that juncture surely Warwick must surely contact all former pupils with an update asking if they were a victim of either Mr X or any other teacher.

Either way, this long running battle seems to be drawing to a close. It has been a long one for me but one that has prompted many more victims of all sorts of horrors who had stumbled on this website to contact me and, at my prompting take matters further. At long last I hope that Warwick’s countless victims may have something really big to cheer.
