The liberal left hates Tulsi Gabbard because she was once a Democrat congresswoman from Hawaii but is now a Republican. Unusually among politicians Tulsi served in the military and like Bobby Kennedy she felt the Dems left her not the other way round: over (lack of) free speech, too many foreign wars, sucking up to big food and big pharma and other matters. For crossing the aisle she has been smeared, notably by crooked Hillary Clinton, as a “Russian asset” and generally demonised.

I found myself spellbound on all three matters. Does the loathsome Katya Adler, formerly the BBC’s EU “insider” and those responsible for Today live in the same world as me? I fear not as they talked unmitigated rubbish.

You might be starting to think that I have become a sort of hybrid of Bobby Kennedy Junior and the late Dr Michael Mosley. I am utterly convinced that part of the terrifying decline of the West is down to obesity and being fat. Governments chuck ever more cash they do not have at healthcare, at overpaid doctors and drug companies charging vast sums for ever more pills supplied. But the health of Western populations just gets worse and worse.
