The liberal left hates Tulsi Gabbard because she was once a Democrat congresswoman from Hawaii but is now a Republican. Unusually among politicians Tulsi served in the military and like Bobby Kennedy she felt the Dems left her not the other way round: over (lack of) free speech, too many foreign wars, sucking up to big food and big pharma and other matters. For crossing the aisle she has been smeared, notably by crooked Hillary Clinton, as a “Russian asset” and generally demonised.
Last week she announced that as of June 30 she was stepping down as Trump’s Director of National Intelligence. She has done some great work in that post, notably showing how FBI and CIA operatives colluded with the Obama regime to smear Donald Trump as a Russian asset in a failed attempt to steal the 2016 election.
If you visit Tulsi’s facebook page you will see her resignation letter sent with love to Donald Trump. And the reason is given. Her husband has a serious cancer issue and is going into intensive treatment. He may or may not live and Tulsi wants to be with him. Who on earth can blame her for stepping down?
Yet read the Guardian headline and opening paragraphs and the suggestion is that she was fired or had fallen out with Trump. This is weaponizing with lies a personal tragedy. Just when you thought you could not hate the Guardian enough it surpasses itself.
