During the past two years I have fought, and eventually won, a battle to get Tesco (TSCO) in Wrexham to take seriously the way that Israeli houmous was plastered with offensive stickers or had pork products placed among it. In the end the manager forced all staff – some of whom had initially shown me outright hostility – to undergo training and the matter was addressed. Then last week I showed HERE how Tesco had itself placed the houmous right next to pork products. What happened next was instructive.

The chap who says he worked for an Government agency that will close my website down and ruin me for supporting Israel now says in a fresh email that he is, in fact, a freelance journalist working for an NGO and in sending menacing emails to a fellow journalist he does not use his real name. Whatever. NGOs operating in this region have a reputation to maintain.

Well over ten thousand protested at the weekend outside COP26. For folks like the crazed doom goblin, Greta Thunberg, facts do not matter. More must be done to screw the poor with green taxes and wreck Western economies. Sorry I meant to save the planet. For the doom goblin, global warming is the only issue. But among her fellow protesters?

I should not have risen to the bait and commented on the video which tried to smear the entire Israeli state and people as racist. I was goaded into it on twitter and responded with a detailed critique showing why and how the video was at best crap journalism and at worst crude propaganda.

What happened then? I have now received a stream of abuse and hostile comments on twitter. Not one of the folks care to answer questions about why Israel HAS to observe higher standards than the EU on illegal immigrants if it is not to be racist. Not one cares to comment on the Falashas. Not one cares to comment on the Israeli Supreme Court banning camps which are deemed kosher across the EU and in Australia. No one. There is not one answer on those matters.
Instead there are comments of two types.
There is abuse. One Russian Jew hater says I should compare the actions of the Israelis to Sudanese people with those of the Nazis to the Jews. Anyone who makes that sort of comment is patently a Jew hating bigot beneath contempt.
