Of course I pity the folks in Gaza and I am not on the Mossad payroll as this menacing NGO worker claims

The chap who says he worked for an Government agency that will close my website down and ruin me for supporting Israel now says in  fresh email that he is, in fact, a journalist working for an NGO and in sending menacing emails he does not use his real name. Whatever. NGOs oprating in this region have a reputation to maintian.

He now also claims that I am “an agent of the Israeli Government.”  Whilst Mossad is free to send me some shekels if it wishes, to date it has not. I write in support of Israel for free. He also says that I do not care about folks in Gaza. Not that is wholly untrue.

I crave a two state solution for Isreal and those lands formerly run by Egypt and Jordan which are now under Palestinian control. I always have doe
I suspect this lunatic wants a solution “from the River to the sea” which means wiping Israel off the map and pushing the Jews ( and the Druze) into the sea, something Hamas is committed to in its charter. There will be no two state solution, something that would improve the lives of both Palestinians and Israelis without folks in Gaza wanting it. But that cannot happen while Hamas rules Gaza. I pity the Gazans for living under such a terrible regime which only impoverishes them

And it is a regime hat has used its people as Human shields for its soldiers and weaponry used to target Israel. One has to pity the poor Gazans used this way. They pay with their lives as Israel has to defend itself

And there is the issue of starvation. I do not doubt that there is hunger in Gaza. Until recently, Hamas controlled supplies brought in by UNWRA and other agencies charging its own folks for food that cost it nothing so enriching its coffers which is why its leaders are such rich men . Now the GHF, a US and Israeli backed group, is supplying more than 2 million meals a day, just over one full meal per person in Gaza. It hands out these meals for free and that has cut off the money supply for Hamas.

That is why Hamas has attacked and kidnapped GHF staff. And why it threatens its own people who accept GHF meals, indeed shooting some of them and then blaming the IDF. It would rather that Gazans starve. So boy do I pity anyone starving in Gaza when they should not be. It is just that unlike David Lammy, the BBC, Ed Davey, Gary Lineker et al I lay the blame for such starvation with Hamas not Israel. Those calling for sanctions against Israel to stop the starving are just confused and ignoring what is really happening in Gaza. Be clear, if the GHF was left alone by Hamas everyone in Gaza would be getting at least one full meal a day, nobody at all would be starving.

My heart goes out to those who have died as a result of being used as a human shield or who are starving because of Hamas. If Israel wanted to commit genocide it could have flattened Gaza within days of the October 7 pogrom. Instead it has tried to minimize civilian casualties by using ground troops and as a result almost 900 IDF members have met a fate that would have raised cheers at Glastonbury.

Hamas started this conflict. Hamas could end it today by releasing the hostages, dead and alive, and surrendering its arms. Pressing Israel to end a war without the hostages coming back and with those who committed the October 7 atrocities and have promised to repeat them, still at large is surely wrong.

And if stating all of this sees more threats from anonymous “freelance journalists working with NGOs” to destroy my source of income, the ShareProphets website, so putting me and 6 others out of work, so be it. I still stand with Israel.
