I discuss the arrests made on 29 December in the USA and why the FCA should look at some of the activities of folks in the UK small cap world. Case studies include Eurasia Mining (EUA) and Chill Brands (CHLL). I then move on to Supply@ME Capital (SYME) and its news today, Wildcat Petroleum (WCAT) and also Verditek (VDTK), which I reckon is a zero for 2022 but since it can’t be shorted is not one of my tips of the year. To JP, sorry I have no idea why Peel Hunt quit as broker to Bushveld (BMN) but I suspect it gave three months notice. Leaving SP Angel as sole broker can’t be seen as good news. It is like firing our beloved West Ham as joint broker to retain the sole services of Chesterfield Town.

The Patient Investor dwells in the asylum that is the ADVFN Bulletin Board and is quite literally mad. He appears to think, erroneously, that a boiler room is a place where teams of folks post on Bulletin Boards and apparently “knows” that I employ hundreds of folks in 12 distinct sites, each paid £10 an hour, to control share prices via BB postings. This is fake news of the highest order. Nurse! Nurse! The patient (investor) needs his meds upping fast! For starters: the idea that I’d pay anyone more than the minimum wage is preposterous! Just ask Steve Moore!

The eco-loon climate change fanatics at the BBC are on a roll with the statement that the world's temperature in 2016 will be "the warmest since records began." In fact they are on such a roll they are again talking about global warming rather than climate change. But as they, again, warn that the arctic ice is disappearing there are a few inconvenient truths.
Of course "since records began" is not very long on a global scale and it is clear that the world in 2016 will be a lot cooler than it was during the medieval warm period which was before coal fired power stations. On that basis can anyone still demonstrate beyond doubt that we are seeing "man made climate change".
But there are other problems. Here are two charts.

I am back in the UK for the 50th Wedding Anniversary of my in-laws but on the way to the Grim North today my father says that he will be filling out his Brexit referendum postal vote in front of me. Touche, I have my papers too and will fill in my vote. Back in 1975 my father's father was a spokesman for leave. He will be spinning in his grave as his son, but not his grandson, votes today. I discuss that. Then I move onto Nick Hewer trying to stop old folks being scammed by unregulated boiler rooms. But what about regulated scammers. I go back to poor Mr Bagot, WH Ireland (WHI) and John Molyneux a broker who has retired a rich man having trashed the savings of Mr Bagot and others. Why is Molyneux not being hauled up before someone? What message does that send out?
