ShareStock – No Video Links this is a personal experience!

“Can I do my chat with you via video link?” said the least well-known person attending Sharestock on September 10 as a CEO speaker? “No! You are uninvited” said I. He missed the point about this event, it is personal. You can listen to all the speakers on stage but then collar them in the drinks tent before or afterwards for a one to one chat.

I just cancelled my zoom package. I am bored of video chats. They are stale and stilted. They sufficed during the lockdown but they are no substitute for really meeting people. I want to chat with folks face to face. And that is what Sharestock is all about

The venue is my farm on the banks of the river Dee in Wales but just 8 miles from Chester with its fast trains to London and elsewhere. And the entertainment starts at 9 AM with a croissant breakfast with home-made jam and, if you want, bucks fizz or fizz with home-made lavender cordial.

Lunch is village produced pizza and home-grown salad and there is an end of day supper option for folks not rushing to leave after the final talk. There is, if you want, salmon fishing on the river and a croquet contest run by my son Joshua. But the main attraction are big name speakers.

I do not know whether we will have 60 or 150 attendees but Sharestock is small and relaxed so you really can chat at length to any or all of the speakers.

You can book your seats HERE

So who is talking?  Flying in from America is the legendary bear raider Gabriel Grego, the man who exposed Globo, Folli Follie, Akazoo and so many other frauds. From closer to home is Boatman Capital the nemesis of both Babcock and Argo Blockchain. Lucian Miers, one of Britain’s best known bears will be on the main stage as will be the grand old man of gold, Peter Hambro.

Chris Bailey will explain how to make money from value investing in a bear market and I will be serving up a new fraud expose in my own main stage talk. Among the CEO’s on main stage for a grilling from me are Cathal Friel of Open Orphan and Steve O’Hara of Optibiotix.

If you think I am giving Steve O’Hara or the other CEOs an easy time then challenge them yourself while sipping a chilled Wrexham lager or maybe even, home-made, honey infused nettle beer. Or whatever is your tipple of choice. That is the relaxed, irreverent and fun nature of ShareStock.

YOU CAN BOOK YOUR TICKETS HERE.

With five and a half weeks to go, more than 40% of the seats are now reserved for this one day gathering in a tent on a lawn beside the River Dee in North Wales.

We are not kidding about the salmon If you want to bring your rod, a 900-yard stretch of the river is yours all day and into the evening or – if you are making a weekend of it – into the next day as well.

The date is September 10

This is a unique chance, not only to hear successful short sellers and fraud exposers and a legend from the world of gold, but to mingle with them all day, perhaps over a pizza, fizz, or homemade lavender cordial or maybe that nettle beer. Oh, and also to see me eat my hat. Literally.

If you’d like to attend the Sharestock festival, tickets can be purchased for £99 – or £160 for two – HERE.

I hope to see you at mu home in Wales in just over five weeks time.
