Co-Op Boss Flowers says that HE is the Victim – how utterly predictable

The shamed ex Co-Op chairman, ex Labour party councillor and ex-Methodist Minister Paul Flowers reckons that in this whole great story the real victim is …HIM. How utterly predictable in a society which celebrates rights without responsibility.

Flowers has a right to run his bank into the ground, he has a right to have gay porn on his Council owned PC, he has a right to buy illegal drugs, he has a right to take those drugs and bugger rent boys on hotel rooms being paid for by the Co-Op, he has a right to use rent boys (itself an exploitative relationship by definition) and he had a right to fiddle his expenses from his last employer.

But he has no responsibility to do minor things like not break the law, exploit vulnerable young men or do his frigging job properly. That is because Flowers mum died 18 months ago and that put him under a lot of strain and so he made a few blunders.

You see, according to Flowers, he is the victim. Co-Op bond holders and staff are not the victims. The exploited rent boys are not the victims. Taxpayers, whose cash who was burned in the Lloyds fiasco masterminded by Flowers, are not the victims.  Flowers is the victim. And he also argues that anyone who suggests otherwise is part of a witch hunt.

Clearly I am only writing bad things about him as I do not like the Labour party, fat Northerners or because I am a homophobe.  If I was not such a bigot I would accept that Flowers is the real victim here.

That even some folk feel able to swallow this twaddle shows what a mess this country is.

PS. For the avoidance of doubt, I have nothing against fat people or homosexuals. Furthermore, I accept that being a Labour Party member is something that a small minority opt to do and as long as they do it in private and do not force their unusual tastes on the rest of us I am as tolerant as the next man. As for Northerners…I admit that this is a bit of a blind spot for me.
