Brexit Project Fear v2 - today's ludicrous story is to brace yourself for a lack of viagra

Downing Street is desperate to bully us into backing its weedy sell out Chequers plan on Brexit, or indeed an even more pathetic version of it once the EU make demands which wretched Theresa May caves to. It has thus unleahsed , via pliant papers such as The Sunday Times and, especially, the Mail on Sunday, a deluge of scare stories about the possible consequences of not agreeing to its awful deal.

The problem is that no-one believed Project Fear back in 2016. You will remember that we were warned that simply the act of voting for Leave would cause 600,000 job losses, mass departures of financiers to Frankfurt and the stockmarket to plunge. Of course employment is now at record highs with massive job gains over the last two years, it is now accepted that fewer than 5,000 City jobs (c1% of all City jobs) will be lost to Europe post Brexit and the stockmarket has reached new record highs since June 23 2016.

So Project Fear was just lie after lie. Project Fear v2 therefore ups the ante. We have been warned that there would be no air flights allowed over Europe, that we would run out of milk, cheese and power. And today, in a warning that we middle aged and old folk who voted for Brexit cannot ignore, the Mail on Sunday tells us that we may run out of viagra here in the UK. Shit! Brexit means no sex. Millions will, at once, be rallying behind Mrs May and her Chequers plan.

Or rather they will just be saying this is an even more ridiculous lie from the loathsome Mrs May and her cabal of unlelected advisers in the last redoubt. Once again we do not believe a word of it and the sooner Mrs May goes the better,
