I am today, yet again, ashamed to be British. There is a new YouGov poll out today which shows so many Brits as ignorant if not outright Jew haters. I suppose the only consolation is that I have abandoned any vague fondness for “the Old country” as the Republic or Ireland has become Mordor, a raging cesspit of Jew hatred. But we Brits, or even we West Brits, have no reason to be complacent.
Question one shows that 87% of us are as open to having Jewish friends as having non Jewish friends. So only 1 in 7 Brits hates Jews. That is scary but it gets worse from there.
One in seven folks (and one in four Reform Party supporters) think Jews chase money more than non Jews. Then to Israel.
A shocking two thirds of the population are not comfortable spending time with people, like me, who openly support Israel. Reform does well here. 55% of its supporters are happy spending time with we evil Zionists whereas only 15% of Greens and 24% of Labour and Lib Dem voters would sit down to chat with me if I dare to come out as an open Zionist as opposed to a closeted one.
The most horrifying question is “Do you think Israel treats the Palestinians like the Nazis treated the Jews?” 45% of Brits think the answer is YES 71% of Green voters, 54% of Lib Dem voters an 55% of Labour voters support that notion. Just how ignorant of history are these people?
I have repeatedly shown that Israel is not starving the increasingly fat Gazans nor is it targeting anyone other than combatants, those scum who slaughtered Jews just for being Jews on October 7. The population of Gaza has gone up over the past three years. The Nazis killed 2/3 of European Jews and forced a couple of million to leave the continent in six years.
How on earth can anyone equate Gaza 2023-26 to the holocaust? Tet so appalling has been the media coverage and the antics of academics and politicians in parroting Hamas lies about genocide and actually using the holocaust word that ordinary Brits who do not hate Jews have come to believe the worst.
This poll shames us all and leaves us all beholden to keep speak the truth to offering up hard data from Gaza as proof that talk of genocide is just a lie.
