Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Yes I am bloody keen on Optibiotix after its interims today

In today’s Bearcast I discuss my morning with the Cheshire fuzz tomorrow, Optibiotix (OPTI), Ben’s Creek (BEN), Itsarm (ITS) and Bluebird Merchant Ventures (BMV). Footnote: after hours in a statement that does not wash Ben’s Creek stated: ““Further to the Company’s notification on 13 September 2023, that there will be a small delay in the Company’s full year results announcement and the publication of the Company’s annual report and accounts for the year ended 31 March 2023. The Company now intends to publish its annual report and accounts along with the accompanying final results announcement on or before 29 September 2023.”. RED FLAG

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: The numbers from Lenigas run PennPetro stink, it is near as damn it bust but covering that up with changed year end

First up I have extended the deadline to enter our latest prize contest to 7 AM tomorrow - please do enter HERE. The I make a plea to Brian Kinane and then look at Chesterfield (CHF), Wildcat (WCAT), the fraud Supply@ME Capital (SYME) then, in detail, the latest David Lenigas promote PennPetro (PPP). Finally the get out of jail card that stinks of cover-up at Bluebird Merchant Ventures (BMV).

Bluebird Merchant Ventures, 10 million share trade reversed – an admission of insider dealing?

I flagged up HERE that shortly before disappointing news from Korea a block of 10 million shares in Bluebird Merchant Ventures (BMV) went through at below market prices. We know, thanks to a TR1, that the seller was Southern Gold and I know, thanks to a party close to the company, that its executives had been made insiders. Now the trade has been reversed. Surely that is an admission of guilt?

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Drowning in white collar crime

If any investor in both Eden Pharma and also one or both of One True View or Appbox Media is listening please get in touch. Then I move onto the appalling new scandal at Deepverge (DVRG) and also at Microsaic (MSYS), then the insider dealing at Bluebird Merchant Ventures (BMV). Then Amala Foods (DISH) and the chancers at Caracal Gold (GCAT), Andrew Monk’s pals. Finally Tern (TERN) is starting to unravel ahead of a bailout placing which is needed ASAP.

Tom Winnifrith Bonus Bearcast: Insider dealing at Bluebird Merchant, IMHO no question mark

I start with a lesson on the scale and nature of a civil war for parody poster Magna Carta, ref Kefi Gold & Copper (KEFI). Then a chat with Lucian on whether to short gold and the second banking crisis he predicts. Thirdly I discuss a big share trade in Bluebird Merchant Ventures (BMV) last week. I have spoken to the company and would bet the ranch, for reasons I explain, that it WAS insider dealing. I do know who the seller was. Finally, Microsaic (MSYS): will Turner Pope and Singer be found morally wanting? So far it is a YES!

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: what to think about 3 gold miners? Has the curse of Chris Cleverly struck again?

Today I look at Conroy Gold & Natural Resources (CGNR), Ariana (AAU) and Bluebird Merchant Ventures (BMV). Then at Pantheon Resources (PANR) and at ADVFN (AFN). Finally Evil Banksta has sent me this Bulletin Board post below on Technology Minerals (TMI). I have always been bearish on this stock as any company in any way linked to Chris Cleverly is always a dog with fleas. The post below looks to be kosher, thought it may not be, so, I suspect, does not alter the bear case and my target remains 0p.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: At what point does Flip Flop admit he has failed? Prepping for a Bluebird Meeting

I start with a bit of macro-political stuff but that does relate directly to a) Gary’s tip today and b) my muted enthusiasm for UK PLC shares. Then it is onto Kavango Resources (KAV), seemingly moving goalposts to avoid accusations of failure. Finally Colin Patterson of Bluebird Merchant Ventures (BMV) popped in after this recording. FWIW, after the meeting I conclude that the shares are a VERY STRONG BUY.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Could Cineworld be a zero by the end of next week?

I end by thanking the kind reader whose gift of a bottle of Metaxa has just arrived. The Mrs says thank you as well. Elsewhere I chat to Lucian Miers and discuss Cineworld (CINE) – after yesterday’s legal hearing – and Canadian Overseas Petroleum (COPL). then it is onto Tern (TERN), Bluebird Merchant Ventures (BMV) and what Versarien (VRS) is so desperate to hide. The references in that section are to the great film Zulu.

BlueBird Merchant Ventures – from the horses mouth

I am as frustrated as the rest of you by the failure of the share price of Bluebird Merchant Ventures (BMV) 1.725p, a £10.7 million market cap, is far too low if, I repeat, IF, it delivers what it has promised in South Korea and the Philippines. But this is a mining junior and IF is the operative word. IF it delivers I see these shares heading to 4p+ so I asked the company what was not happening.

I start with a few words on Jubilee Metals (JLP) and Bluebird Merchant Ventures (BMV). Then some Trustpilot detective work on AQRU (AQRU) which, I predict, will go bust in 2023. I move on to Xtract Resources (XTR), Shearwater (SWG), Alliance Pharma (APH) and then to the impending demise of Applied Graphene Materials (AGM). Gotcha! After that apology to most of the citizens of a nation that has turned Philistinism into an art form I discuss the Bank of England hiking base rates by 0.75%. Then it is onto ouzo man and Purplebricks (PURP) before I turn to two gold stocks that could now rocket by Christmas, Kefi Gold & Copper (KEFI) and Bluebird Merchant Ventures (BMV). I own shares in both and both have two reasons for a dramatic near term re-rate. Then Trainline (TRN) where the outlook is not so bright.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Snopes raises massive questions for KPMG, Nomad Peel Hunt, the idiots at AIM Regulation, the SNP et al

I refer to this amazing exposé by Snopes HERE into Max Polyakov, Ukraine’s Elon Musk. Why does it matter: I recall Cupid and the great establishment cover up.  Thjis is crime plain and simple and the board knew about it and covered it up. KPMG covered it up. The Nomad did nothing and so too did the Oxymorons at AIM Regulation. The SNP has been lobbying hard for Polyakov. They are all beneath contempt. Then I ask if share buying at Bluebird Merchant Ventures (BMV) is legit. It is. Then I discuss why a whistleblower may or may not have a story about another AIM company, look at Made.com (MADE), Sosandar (SOS), Tern (TERN) and Bidstack (BIDS): two placings , one a pea shooter, one possibly (but probably not) a bazooka.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: 1990s encounter in a gents urinal

I do explain the reference in full and it is not what you think. In the podcast I look at the utterly unconvincing sophistry of Colin Bird as I dissect his Bezant Resources (BZT) statement about the Caerus scandal. His sums just do not add up. And his company is insolvent. I look in detail at Bluebird Merchant Ventures (BMV) following news today and lunch on Saturday. I forgot to mention that I paid for lunch. I don’t do freebies. Then Mitchells and Butler (MAB) and why old Malcolm is bonkers and finally Wildcat Petroleum (WCAT) which is an almighty sell after a spoof yesterday. that is where the urinals incident comes in.

Bluebird at 2.5p worth 9.58p! Just a few caveats guv

Just a few caveats. Align Research is paid to pump out the research below. Align and its boss, Richard “nobody likes me and I don’t care” Jennings own shed loads of shares in Bluebird Merchant Ventures (BMV), and the “analyst” is disgraced, journalist smearing, part time PR man, the vile and repellent Dr Michael Green. Dr Green should not be allowed to work in financial services after his crimes as an enabler of the fraud Sefton Resources (SER). Having said all of that, I too have an interest in these shares and reckon they are cheap. Are they worth 9.58p as the ludicrous Green suggests? Er no. But could they double? Yes. And the note below explains why.

I look at two shocking economic statistics and what they mean. I am asked this question by a long suffering reader in relation to Skinbiotherapeutics (SBTX) and do my best to answer. I still see no sign of the IPO of Zak Mir’s crazy media investment company which he said was imminent two weeks ago. Is it Lift off?  I comment on Bluebird Merchant Ventures (BMV)  and then have a detailed look at Sarah Willingham’s Nightcap (NGHT) in light of today’s expose. It really is a one way bet.Down.

No, I have not got a scooby about why Bluebird (BMV) shares are up but I speculated and put together a few pieces of the jigsaw.  I look at W Resources (WRES) but would not touch it with a bargepole and then discuss the wholly unacceptable greed of Andrew “piggy” Austin at Kistos (KIST)

Align’s disgraced Dr Green halves his target price but reckons Bluebird shares could quadruple

The journalist-smearing, Sefton fraud-enabling PR man turned analyst and all-round tosser Dr Michael Green has updated the world with his take on Bluebird Merchant Ventures (BMV) after yesterday’s news.  While his initial coverage was patently ludicrous with a target of 34.79p which I rubbished HERE, the latest note is less bonkers with a target of 16.72p. Disgraced, journalist smearing, fraud enabler Dr Michael Green serves up another bonkers share price target - this time its Xtract

After his role in anabling the fraud at Sefton Resources (SER), including in smearing the UK’s top investigative journalist, Dr Michael Green should NOT be working in financial services. You know my views. But he is. and his job these days seems to be penning bonkers research notes on small mining stocks setting insane share price targets which are multiples of the current share price. You may remember his classic piece on Bluebird Merchant (BMV) where the target – and I say this as an enthusiastic sharenholder – was just insane. Then there was a classic on the worthless James Parsons POS Ascent. His latest note is on Xtract (XTR) where he predicts profits of 500% for those buying the shares. If you enjoy a piece of badly wfritten fiction and don’t have a Jeffrey Archer to hand, the note is below.

Dr Michael Green at Align on Ascent Resources – now he really is taking the piss

I have commented before on how Dr Michael Green should not be working in the City  because of the role he played in the Sefton(SER)  fraud which included launching a dirty tricks campaign against the heroic investigative journalists Mr Daniel Levi and er…me. A couple of months ago he published a note on Bluebird Merchant (BMV) with a price target which, though I am a very supportive shareholder especially after today’s RNS, I said at the time was quite utterly bonkers.  It still is. Today he opines on Ascent Energy (AST) and his research makes that on Bluebird seem sober and considered.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: I will appear in court for PWC if asked to defend £63m joke Quindell claim

I start with a few notes on Covid hysteria, referring you to my earlier piece on perceived death rates HERE but also to research showing how pointless wearing face nappies is HERE. I look at R4E (R4E) and how Richard Jennings asks me to explain why Dr Green’s valuation of Bluebird Merchant (BMV) is a joke. I am a Good German and oblige. The shares, which I own, are – I believe – very cheap, but the analysis of Green is piss poor. Indeed it is so piss poor that the journalist-smearing old bastard should be fired at once. I look at Watchstone (WTG), Quindell as was, and its £63 million claim against PriceWaterhouseCoopers filed in the High Court today. I shall happily give evidence for PWC. Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Surely we will tell bearded tax dodger Richard Branson to feck off

I start with Gabriel Grego’s latest bombshell dossier and the back history involving our exposes on InternetQ (INTQ).  – surely the FCA must be having words with Martin Hughes and Tosca Fund. I end with Branson’s bailout b egging. Surely the UK must say no. In between I look at Catennae (CTEA), Feedback (FDNK), Bluebird Merchant Ventures (BMV), Midatech Pharma (MTPH) and Bidstack (BIDS).  Finally, Darren has done his propogating and the ShareProphets Shares Conferenc e website is now 100% secure to take bookings for May 9. Please buy your tickets now HERE.

A loyal shareholder in Bluebird Merchant writes – double sack chairman Jonathan Morley-Kirk NOW!

I am a big fan of Bluebird Merchant Ventures (BMV). I expect it to secure loan funding to ensure opening of its first gold mine very soon and that folks will then realise that this is perhaps the cheapest London listed gold play. I really could see its shares trebling from the current 2.45p mid. But there is one problem, its non executive chairman Jonathan Morley-Kirk simply has to be fired, not only from Bluebird but from Big Dish Ventures (DISH) as well. I have written to senior director Aidan Bishop.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: 5 signs that a banking crisis is on the way

Some of you fell for my April Fool - wow! thanks for the messages of congratulation! In yesterday’s bearcast I argued that banks had to abandon paying dividends pro tem. Now under pressure they have agreed to do so. I now give you five little or big case studies showing why a banking crisis is inevitable. Then I look at Nostra Terra Oil & Gas (NTOG), Bluebird Merchant Ventures (BMV), where I am a very excited and supportive shareholder but think the chairman must be fired after today’s news, Bidstack (BIDS), Plutus Powergen (PPG) and the associated POS companies and Westminster Group (WSG) where repellent slug and ex Tory MP Tony Baldry of 3DM infamy shows again why he is the unacceptable face of capitalism.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Luke Johnson is THE acceptable face of capitalism, Frontera (which is not), 1 day to go

How I suffer for you dear listeners. All is explained. Then there is a long discussion on the administration of Patisserie Holdings (CAKE). I move on with a few more words on The Escape Group (ESC) which I covered HERE and then look at Eve Sleep (EVE) and the folly of Neil Woodford, Scancell (SCLP), Anglesey Mining (AYM), Ariana (AAU), Bluebird Merchant Ventures (BMV), Chesterfield (CHF) and Metro Bank (MTRO). Finally it is one day to ouzo time (again) on Frontera Resources (FRR).

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: does the BCA RNS mean Neil Woodford's funds are at death's door

I start with a report back on my torture of last night. Then I look at a day of woe for Neil Woodford, commenting on the Kier (KIE) debacle which has shown him at his arrogant and reckless worst. Then I ask questions about share trades announced late yesterday in BCA marketplace (BCA), I look at Sosandar (SOS), Optibiotix (OPTI), Bluebird Merchant Ventures (BMV), Yu (YU.) and at Avanti Comunications (AVN).

UK Investor Show 2018 Video: Charles Barclay of Bluebird Merchant Ventures

We own shares in Bluebird Merchant Ventures (BMV) and have done since its IPO. It has been a bumpy ride but things are now going very much the right way and at c3p they are very cheap. Here is Charles Barclay to explain why.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Bastards, the lawyers are always the only winners

In this podcast I start by clarifying exacty where I stand on Nostra Terra (NTOG) then I move onto Lead All (LEAL), Blenheim Natural (BNR) and China New Energy (CNEL). Then I look at Strat Aero (AERO) where there is news from Texas ( not good). Finally a stock we own, Bluebird Merchant (BMV) and I assist you with the maths on today's cracking news.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast - the curse of the tipster, commercial suicide

In this podcast I discuss pruning here in Bristol, an update on the Gooseberry crumble and then the lessons about how folks behave as investors or rather gamblers we can learn from the Worthington (WRN) fraud which must now be brown bread as explained HERE earlier today following news on Friday. That section also mentions Cloudtag (CTAG) and tech stocks. Then I look at commercial suicide, the curse of the tipster and Bluebird Merchant Ventures (BMV).

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast - Gooseberry Crumble, Avanti crumbles

I have spent the morning getting twitter grief for this article but the one polite twitter enquiry concerns BoxHill (BOX) and I answer that in this podcast as well as explaining why shares are both up and down since Brexit - it all depends how you look at it. I also cover Gulf Keystone (GKP), Bluebird Merchant Ventures (BMV), Advanced Oncotherapy (AVO) and Avanti Communications (AVN), I meant to talk about Bovis (BVS) but forgot. I shall try to remember tomorrow when I am down to make a gooseberry crumble. I shall report back on that over the weekend.

Video: Clive Sinclair-Poulton of Bluebird Merchant Ventures

No offence intended but I would rather that Aidan Bishop who is the man behind Bluebird Merchant Ventures (BMV) had presented at UK Investor Show not Clive Sinclair-Poulton. Aidan is a class act and next year I hope he is around. We own these shares and are excited aboout what will happen. Enjoy

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast 2nd May - why I like gold & why we own what we own

is this is a bullcast? We have 15% of our portfolio in gold becuase we are bearish about shares. Does that make sense? I discuss why you should own some physical gold and then why we own the shares we do, notably Petropavlovsk (POG), Ariana (AAU) and Wishbone (WSBN) but also much smaller amounts of Eurasia (EUA), Bluebird (BMV) and Armadale Capital (ACP)

BlueBird Merchant Ventures - first mining IPO for 8 months - we have a small flutter

I really hate backing IPOs. Many companies just struggle to adjust to life as a public company, it is like those cricketers who are great at proper cricket but just can't make the adjustment to the pyjama game. Whatever. We have had a small exposure (well not that small actually) today in Bluebird Merchant Ventures (BMV) - Bluebird Mining as was -  which is the first mining stock to make it to the London market in eight months.
