The Guardian's take on one black multi-millionaire hitting another on TV - it's all about white racism natch!

An actor even I have heard off hit a comedian I am not sure I’d know from Adam, at the Oscars for telling an unfunny joke about his wife. Suddenly politicians, celebs and all the other preening nonentities who dominate our world in 2022 piped up with their take on Will Smith hitting Chris Rock. But only the Guardian, the dreary left wing reading of the middle classes, gets to the real core of the issue as you can see below.

Video: Bill Maher now this really is brave - a celeb who dares to defend Israel

Celebs, especially in America, are always calling each other “brave” when they speak out on an issue which they all agree with anyway. Wow, that is incredibly brave to call out Donald Trump as a sexist, racist, transphobic, bigot. Cue a standing ovation at the Oscars from your fellow liberal luvvies. What would be really brave is to dare to dissent from the woke GroupThink. I rarely see eye to eye with liberal chat show host Bill Maher but I take my hat off to him for this eight minute defence of Israel based on hard facts and which, with wit, he ridicules some of Israel’s critics. Bill uses facts, something you so rarely hear when discussing Israel. It is a valid history lesson for young folk today who know nothing of the history of this region. Well done Bill. This is a must-watch.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: How many black, gay, vegan men are there in Britain who have not yet featured on the BBC?

I start with a bit of a go at BBC Radio 4 for its quitee lamentable content this morning. I am somewhat prompted by my thoughts on the Oscars HERE. I then looked at Just Eat (JE.), Luceco (LUCE), Challenger Acquistions (CHAL), Falanx (FLX) - where I am glad to be a shareholder - MySquar (MYSQ), the holocaust denying fraudsters and Online BlockChain (OBC).

Another massive switch off for the Oscars - I'm not alone in finding liberal millionaire virtue signalling nauseating

I could not bear to stay up to watch the Oscars on Sunday night. But I have already seen the BBC and the rest of the liberal media fawning over its diversity and how the millionaire liberal luvvies took it in turns to bash Trump, male harassersment, guns, Trump again, Republicans and Trump again. How drearily predictable but then #blackfrocksmatter. But there is another matter which the liberal media is not reporting on - how America is turning off from this virtue signalling in droves

Is Harvey Weinstein more evil than Herman Goring - justice Hollywood style

After years of pretending they knew nothing the big names of Hollywood have taken action - Harvey Weinstein has been booted out of The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the organisers of the Oscars. That will come as a relief to Roman Polanski (refuses to answer charges of child sex abuse) and Bill Cosby (a spot of bother with sexual harassment allegations) as neither will now have to rub shoulders with Weinstein. Polanski and Cosby retain their memberships.

Argo Wins Best Picture at the Oscars - it is Truly Gripping

Having seen a few good films of late (Les Miserables), some poor films aimed for ching ching and little else (The Hobbit), Argo knocked my socks off. That it won best picture at the Oscars last night is not unmerited. I shall not ruin the story but it is a drama based on real events during the US hostage crisis in Iran in 1979 when the Islamofascists of Khomeni took power.

The ugly brutality of that regime (but its huge popular support) comes across explicitly. The film is riveting. I was on the edge of my seat until the last minute. I sort of knew what happened but none the less the film sucked me in with an air of uncertainty. And it drew you back to the late 1970s – an era of office shredders, long hair cuts and facial hairs, smoking in the office and folks drinking neat whisky like there was no tomorrow.

Ben Affleck is superb as the star of the film. Are spies really that cool? Maybe. I cannot see how he was not even nominated as best director. But the film picked up the blue riband. If you have not watched it yet, you should.
