Stainsby is a man who is already a convicted paedophile for offences committed before his Warwick days. The week after he was sentenced for 14 years in 2022 one of his victims at Warwick who had given evidence to the Police, killed himself. Stainsby was finally charged by Warwickshire police in December last year.
Of course, he is one of numerous Warwick School paedophile teachers I have named and one of whom I am aware who I have not named as the fuzz are currently investigating him. Most of the others are now dead although Charles Watmough is alive but despite the Police having received complaints from five OWs they have not arrested him, releasing him as a free man after one short interview in 2019
So how is justice for Stainsby’s victims working out? He first appeared in the magistrates court in January of this year facing 14 charges against multiple boys but as everyone knew would happen the case had to be referred up to a Crown Court so with Stainsby entering no please we had to wait till March 20th.
At that point Stainsby’s lawyers claimed that he had suffered a dramatic mental deterioration since 2022 and so was not fit to stand trial. The Ernest Saunders defenced. The case was postponed to May 29 to await medical reports. And last week we were told that the Shipmans had not done their work so it is now postponed until July 22.
I hope that Stainsby’s lawyers are sent packing and that there will be a full trial but that probably would not be until 2027 – seven years after the Police started their investigation. If Stainsby’s lawyers are believed then it is likely that there would still be a ‘trail of the facts’ during which a jury would decide whether he ‘did the act’ but would not decide on guilt or innocence. This provision exists in British law to provide ‘closure’ for the victims and protect the public (he could still receive a hospital or supervision order).
Like many I have lost all faith in British Justice. When I am threatened by Seth Freedman, the man Harvey Weinstein paid to harass the women he raped, because Freedman has been paid by a fraudster who I am exposing as part of my day job, the Police do NOTHING. When folks set up an illegal campsite and hold noisy festivals on the other side of the river HERE near Wrexham the Police do NOTHING. Yet when a disgraced fraudster like Julie Meyer complains that I am harassing her ( by writing articles exposing her crimes) I get a visit from the filth to interview me, even though she had already fled the UK to avoid a six month jail term for contempt of court!
And with Warwick we see the Police acting slowly if at all and the Courts moving at a glacial speed as Stainsby games the system. Do I have any faith? No. I expect that Stainsby will serve only half his sentence so will be out of jail by 2029. Does he post a threat to kids when released? In his early 80s probably not but do you think we should take any chances? And for a man who has ruined lives is a mere seven year stretch enough?
