British Forces are in Syria - are we stark raving mad?

There is now clear evidence that British special forces are on the ground in Syria assisting Free Syrian Army (FSA) jihadists. The BBC spins a Government lie and reports this as being in a fight against ISIS.. But the FSA is, of course, also fighting President Assad''s Government and its Russian and Syrian allies. This is madness.

The folks we are assisting are not nice people. many support Al-Qaeda. They engage in beheadings, executions, chucking people off tall buildings and a range of war crimes and crimes against humanity. They are violently intolerant of minorities such as Christians. Who are we to play God and say that they are better folks than Assad.

It is Assad and his allies who making the real headway against ISIS. By supporting the FSA who spend far more effort attacking Assad than attacking ISIS we indirectly assist ISIS. And one day a British boot on the ground will, almost certainly, come into direct contact with Russian personnel. Have we really thought this through?

Parliament has not approved this intervention. We have no right to play God. The results of this intervention damage the fight against ISIS, It is madness at every level. Theresa May may applaud this and may have support from overseas from people such as President Obama and Hillary Clinton. Liberals always think meddling in other folks affairs makes things better. It never does.

This is an action which is not in my name. It is sheer folly.
