Waving flags can lead to global wars like World War Two. Yup: you wave a small Union Jack in the privacy of your own home while watching the Last Night of the Proms and before you know it you are an Adolf Hitler worshipping Nazi invading Poland. Interpreting history so that whatever your opponents do or say is equated to the actions of the last, German led, attempted European superstate before the EU is a common symptom of severe #BrexitDerangementSyndrome.
