In attempting to justify logic defying and insane new restrictions on the three million of us who live in Wales, our First Minister mad Mark Drakeford told a monstrous lie. He claimed that the Omicron variant was “probably” as deadly as the Delta variant.
He is entitled to his view just as I am entitled to the view that Drakeford is a total knobhead. But while can demonstrate manifest evidence to back up my view , Drakeford was in possession of no hard evidence at all to back up his assertion. In fact there was already real evidence well before the latest lockdown measures that Omicron is less deadly, far less deadly.
Hell’s teeth: now even Professor Pantsdown Ferguson himself, the high priest of covid doom, admits Omicron is far less deadly. So what Drakeford did was to tell a lie to justify measures that are pointless.
Throughout the pandemic Wales has had the toughest measures of all four home nations to restrict our liberties and makes us miserable. And guess which of the four nations that make up the UK has had the most covid deaths per million? Of course, it is Wales, something that makes a mockery of Drakeford’s repeated claims that his policies are driven by science. The hard data of bodies on the mortuary slab shows his awful experiments have not worked.
So the Drakeford medicine is not working and is having awful side effects. His solution is simply to up the dosage and if he needs to tell even bigger lies to justify that so be it.
