At some point I will do a piece on the attendances at WSL side West Ham Ladies and how they show what a joke the economics of women’s football has become. The entire media class colludes with this lie, terrified of being branded as sexist. Today the England National Side, the Lionesses, beat Italy 2-1 in the Arnold Clark cup today at Coventry’s CBS Arena and then boasted of the attendance, a record for this ground. This is just so 1984.

I worry a bit that this is a bit of “all must have prizes” as this cup is awarded once a week and there are only about 65 kids in Joshua’s school. But, what with the lomg holiday’s teachers enjoy and all those Inset days perhaps I worry too much. Anyhow being called out in assembly last Friday to receive this cup, which is for adademic progress and being a pleasure to be at school with, made my son very happy and proud. He was, I’m told, a bit shy about going up to get the cup but he has had a wide grin of happiness and pride all weekend.
Another day and another booking. There are now just two weeks between late May and late September NOT now booked out at the Greek Hovel. The pool is open in both may and October and it is easily warm anough to swim so those cheap off peak bookings are the smart ones. But if you want the height of summer there are now just two weeks in July when the house is not used which given how lovely it is, is a crime in itself. I am off myself in a few weeks to complete the final upgrade to the road up to the hovel and to install a third lavatory. I lead a glamorous life.
I am one of those MCC members who voted the wrong way. I really don’t care that much for the retention of the Oxford vs Cambridge match at Lords and as for Eton vs Harrow, I’d rather both establishments were shut down altogether. I am pretty sure I am not. In fact, although this household is very, very, mixed race ( white identifying as Northern Irish married to Asian origin identifying as English with kids mixed race identifying as Welsh) 98% of folks here in Wrexham are white. And although you would find it hard to believe given the media coverage and our Government’s determination to spend as much as it can to make Wales “the most LGBTQ friendly country in Wales” the census suggests that almost 98% of us are in fact heterosexual. In Cardiff it is only 95% so the proportion up here in North Wales must be even higher. But…

Throughout the covid scamdemic mask jihadists in my home village and the political and media class insisted masks stopped the spread of covid. I showed with hard data time and time again that masks did not work. Yet still some folks carry on masking. For them, here is a video with a stack more hard data. Ha! You’ve been had! This week, she stated that the poorest fifth of the population are now much poorer (in the UK) than most of the poorest countries in central and Eastern Europe…they would be better off in quite poor countries in the European Union.” Natch this was retweeted thousands and thousands of times. Those evil Tories they are just bastards aren’t they? Well some of them are, but on this matter the data just does not support Ms Flanders’ claim. On Holocaust Memorial Day, expert after expert went onto the airwaves to insist that what happened to the Jews started with the “othering” of them as a minority by the Nazis. Othering is a ghastly world created by Guardian reading sociologists, like my wife, but essentially it means depicting as distinct as a precursor to demonisation.

There were three historians on this show discussing the holocaust. Dan Stone and Catherine Merridale and a chap called Bernard Wasserstein. Stone has recently published a book on how folks in countries across Europe assisted or took part in the murder of six million Jews. Among those were the parents and family of Mr Wasserstein who were butchered in a village in Western Ukraine.
