Live from a University near you

It is a couple of years old but, after yesterday’s October 7 outrage on campuses across the West, still fitting

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast No 2: Please forgive me, I will do it tonight

I start with some of the ghoulish reactions to today's October 7 anniversary, reactions that fill me with horror and disgust. I then look at Audioboom (BOOM), Georgina Energy (GEX), Hamak Strategy (HAMA) and Eurasia Mining (EUA), 80 million quid of hot air and puff.

Marking October 7th – Never Again is now!

Today, I remember the worst one day slaughter of Jews since world war two, the October 7 pogrom of two years ago in Israel. 1195 people were murdered, babies, kids, women, holocaust survivors. Many of the women and girls were raped and sodomised by Hamas before being executed. Bodies such as the UN refused to see that #Metoo applied to Jewish women and denial of the atrocities Hamas themselves filmed is still widespread. Other folks were kidnapped. Still today, 20 live jews and bodies of 28 dead jews remain in tunnels under Gaza. We remember this event and we should all say Never Again. But, to Britain’s eternal shame we will not.

Mr Karma strikes: Co-Op discovers that God does not like, or reward, antisemites

I started boycotting the Co-Op on May 18. I had used it almost every day as it is the only general store in the village in which I live. But I have not darkened its doors once since it signed up to the BDS agenda and stopped selling any Israeli goods, saving money by doing bulk shopping at Tesco in Wrexham instead. Those pushing BDS did not start their campaign the day Israel responded to the October 7 pogrom, they have been pushing it for years, they have always wanted to destroy the only Jewish state.

Of course I pity the folks in Gaza and I am not on the Mossad payroll as this menacing NGO worker claims

The chap who says he worked for an Government agency that will close my website down and ruin me for supporting Israel now says in a fresh email that he is, in fact, a freelance journalist working for an NGO and in sending menacing emails to a fellow journalist he does not use his real name. Whatever. NGOs operating in this region have a reputation to maintain.

Sivota delisting – very naughty to blame it on events in Gaza

I cannot believe that anyone is in any doubt of my 101% support for the only Middle East country which is a democracy and which is a multicultural society where ethnic and religious minorities are not only protected but celebrated. I refer to Israel. My support continues to cost me readers whose anti-semitism gets the better of them. I flag this up because Israeli investment company Sivota (SIV) is to delist from the main market and the reasons it gives are wholly disingenuous.

I stormed out of Midnight Mass in Gresford, may God forgive me

However much the Church of England or Church of Wales infuriates me and tests my faith I have always attended Midnight Mass at Christmas. “Yea Lord we Greet You born this happy morning” I sing loudly and walk out into the cold night air filled with optimism and with my weak faith replenished. Gradually my own failings and the miserable state of the world weaken all those positive feelings and then it is Christmas again. This year I did not leave after the last carol I stormed out and I hope that our sparky new vicar understands why.

Who hates Jews more: Ken Loach or the Guardian?

I bring you the tweet below from the wretched Guardian. It seems that Corbynite filmmaker Ken Loach has quit as patron of a small London cinema over an “Israeli film festival screening.” That is just a tad misleading.  The screening is of a film, a film about a festival. Yes it is the Nova festival where on October 7 2023 hundreds of young Israelis were raped, sodomised, beheaded, shot, abducted and the film presents footage of that day.  That Loach quits as he cannot bear to see his Hamas rapist pals in action is in character for loathsome Ken. That the Guardian deceives with its headline, making it sound like a normal BDS protest against a new Israeli movie is equally predictable but still disgraceful.

Another old friend lost? I am a “fascist” for not slating the Jews

When 1200 Jews were slaughtered by Hamas on October 7 my friend of twenty five years T did not write me an angry email saying how he supported my articles expressing my horror. He did not mind that 10 of them were British Jews or that 2 British Jews were taken into Gaza as hostages by the Hamas rapists. But today T has been in touch to slate me as being a “fascist” for supporting the Jewish State after the tragedy of Israel accidentally killing seven aid workers, three of whom were Brits.  A man with a history degree does not seem able to understand that in the context of real fascism that is just such an utterly offensive thing to say.  Our exchange follows and I just despair. I guess I have lost another friend.

Owen Jones and rape: the Guardian's man sinks to a new low of Jew bashing

Guardian columnist Owen Jones famously demanded more proof that Hamas raped Israeli women on the October 7 pogrom. There were no live videos so that was not enough for little Owen. Eyewitness accounts did not count as he knows that Jews all lie about this sort of thing. What a shit Jones is. But in case you thought he could sink no lower, think again and it is also on the subject of rape.

Have I just lost my best friend because #IstandwithIsrael ?

I wrote the other day, HERE, about how I was taking a financial hit because of my support for Israel and the wider Jewish community. Hell what does money matter? I shall not be silenced. But now, perhaps, a more personal hit.

Even for the appalling Guardian this is a new low, but I bet they love it at the University of Lancaster

17 days after the worst one day mass slaughter of Jews since World War Two   the Guardian ran the headline below accusing Israel of weaponising the holocaust. Words just fail me. The Guardian is weaponising the anti-semitism that is marching through the ranks of its core public sector and academic readership.  Folks like the University of Lancaster which, despite promising a Monday response, has still not responded to my Saturday questions abut Professor Simon Mabon celebrating the Hamas butchers of 7 October.  No doubt at Lancaster University they loved the article below. Any decent reader of the Guardian, such as my wife, will surely now boycott it for life.
