Photo Article from the Welsh Hovel: Thinking of my heroine Laura Ingalls in that winter in De Smet

Of course, poor Laura Ingalls Wilder has, like almost all white folks born before 1980, been exposed and denounced Salem style, by wanker academics, as a vile racist. But in this mixed race household, the great libertarian remains hugely popular. Little House in the Big Woods is probably my favourite of her books but as Joshua and I surveyed our wood store, it is The Long Winter that springs to mind. The hero of that tale of a bitter winter in De Smet Dakota is an Indian, oops Native American, who warns the evil white colonists of what lies in store.

Even by the standards of the BBC surely this is peak #fakenews on Gaza

I have documented the way that in the complete absence of photos of genuinely starving kids in Gaza, a place where almost everyone as a smart phone, the Western media has happily used photos supplied by Hamas lined journalists of starving kids in Yemen or of kids with other diseases to show how the wicked Jews are committing genocide. If there really were loads of starving babies or kids deliberately shot by Israeli troops surely we would have one genuine picture by now? We don’t. Draw your own conclusions. But as you can see below, the BBC has now hit a new low.

Photo from London Trip, for ex babysitter Debbie.

A babysitter from my childhood says that she is afraid of wearing her star of David on trips to Londonistan and I do not blame her. But on my third trip in six years to the hellhole, to attend the Optibiotix (OPTI) AGM, I wore a shirt for Debbie, as you can see below. I must admit that this shirt, printed off and ordered, after the October 7 pogrom, got a few looks and I did feel a bit nervous at the start but if some vegan trustafarian from Islington wanted to have a go, I guess I was ready. Folks who threaten me over my support for Israel and for Britain’s embattled Jews should know that I am not going to back down, I am not frightened.

Photo article from the Welsh Hovel: family blackberry picking by the river Dee

The blackberries by the chapel where the Mrs and Joshua bother God are still a week or two away from being ripe but down by the river in our fields I spotted a big bush full of ripe berries as I mowed the path I have created.

Photo Article from the Welsh Hovel: Upside down plum cake

We have a total glut of plums at the Welsh Hovel this year and thus Joshua and myself are hard at work harvesting, palming them off on neighbours and then and turning those that we do not devour freshly picked into anthing we can think of. This weekend it wll be plum ice cream ( now underway), plum and cinammon jam, plums flash frozen and plums stewed and then frozen for autumn breakfasts with almond milk. But frst up was an upside down plum, honey and ginger cake.

Dr Tanya is a greedy, troughing young Shipman and just cannot see it

Dr Tanya is on X and states her case for a pay rise, why she is striking and putting patients’ lives at risk. All she is asking for is an extra £7 an hour, it does not seem like much does it? But it is. Dr Tanya is a greedy troughing Shipman: examine her tweet in detail

Mohammed al-Mutawaaq, the fake posterboy of Gaza famine: ask yourself the BIG question

Poor Mohammed has been on the front page of the Express, the vile Guardian, The Daily Mail, The Times, the New York Times, as you can see below, the BBC and indeed everywhere. You could not have missed this living proof that the Israelis are starving poor Gazan kids to death. But in this Orwellian world, I am afraid that Mohammed al-Mutawaaq is a fake victim of the wicked Jews and that should make you ask an enormous question.

Greek Hovel terror: Wildlife diversity scare on Convent Hill

After a late night souvlaki and ouzo in Kambos I drove home and reached the abandoned convent on the other side of the valley from the hovel without incident. From the side of the convent the road descends rapidly. I have spent a few Euro patching it up, though that is actually the job of the municipality, but it is still a slightly bumpy first gear descent. On the non convent side of the road there is no barrier to stop one falling into a small ravine covered in undergrowth which is no doubt infested with all sorts of wildlife diversity.

Alleged starvation in Gaza: please can anyone explain these four things to me?

Ed Davey, the postmaster’s friend, David Lammy, the entire Green party and SNP, indeed most of the political and media class are convinced that Israel is pursuing a policy of deliberate starvation as a tool of genocide in Gaza. Of course there is hunger but if you take a few steps back and try to apply a critical thought process can anyone explain away four matters to me. I am waiting for someone to deliver facts as a counter view.

Fever Pitch in the War Against Israel, a superb essay by Melanie Phillips

I am not Jewish but in two articles today HERE and HERE I demonstrate the malice, the poison directed at those of us who dare suggest support for Israel. If this was a propaganda war, Hamas would have won hands down and that has consequences.

Of course I pity the folks in Gaza and I am not on the Mossad payroll as this menacing NGO worker claims

The chap who says he worked for an Government agency that will close my website down and ruin me for supporting Israel now says in a fresh email that he is, in fact, a freelance journalist working for an NGO and in sending menacing emails to a fellow journalist he does not use his real name. Whatever. NGOs operating in this region have a reputation to maintain.

Comrade Brian Basham says the nicest things about me, comparing me to Christopher Booker as bonkers

Yesterday I penned a piece about the win win for America as Trump’s tariffs secured a $50 billion investment from AstraZeneca as it scaled back investment here in Rachel Reeves’ UK. I noted how this would cause a gnashing of teeth for those with #TrumpDerangementSyndrome including my friend the City PR legend and the undefeated winner of the title Champagne socialist of the Year from its launch back in 2001. Comrade Basham has responded with the kindest of emails to one of his fellow deluded lefties, cc’ing me in:

Report back from Kambos and the Greek Hovel for the olive harvesters

Veteran Tim says he wants another year and my pal the Euroloon Jonathan Price is threatening to make his debut although he is worried that as a result of Brexit he will be stuck in a passport queue at Athens airport for weeks. For the two of them and other potential harvesters, notably veteran J and Mr and Mrs L, a report back from Kambos and the Greek Hovel.
