Cross dressing Sir Grayson Perry & BBC Radio 4 on the shame of being English

Cross dressing artist Grayson Perry graced BBC Radio 4’s flagship “Today” programme this morning and engaged in a wide ranging chat with the sycophantic presenters. If he goes to the Coronation he intends to wear a dress he said. I bet the ranch he is exactly the sort of chap who will be invited by woke King Charles to show the diverse nature of a modern Britain.  So what if 99.5% of chaps opt not to dress as birds ( a word now set to be banned so I shall use it more often), it is important to invite as many of the 0.5% as possible to show what Britain really looks like. And that brought us to discussing regions and the four home nations.

Without a word of contradiction from the sycophants who almost certainly agree with Mr Perry he opined that “Brexit was largely an English project” and so people may be ashamed of bei ng English. Scots, the Northern Irish and the Welsh (who also voted for Brexit) have no such shame..  Who on earth thinks like that outside a small cabal of elitist Guardian readers in the posh bits of London?

Did Mr Perry or the BBC presenters not see the sea of English flags which were everywhere as the English soccer teams (blokes and birds) played this year? There is no shame over Brexit for most oif us bar the sort of elitist remoaners who blame everything evil wherever in the world it takes place on events of six years ago.

If the BBC was manned by real journalists it would challenge Perry for this daft statement. Instead its presenters just accept it for that is what they too believe and make no pretence about hiding. I do not identify as English and my kids identify very strongly as Welsh yet we can see how embraassing Mr Perry and BBC are, why is there no grasp of this at the Corporation itself?
